Always been bouncy and athletic. Just gone over 50 and notice I’m flattening out and slower to react. Thanks. I’ll try this.
Loved it, really got my Team to improve their Speed on court 😎
🎉🎉🎉 tks for this training ...its perfect😊
I love that last ball drill! Can’t wait to try it out!!! I’m struggling to keep up in tennis. I’m so tired and gassed and my opponents don’t even seem tired. So I’ve been looking for fitness drills to increase endurance!
Awesome, I hope that you have tried that drill out! How has your tennis fitness been lately? Cheers!
Great exercises! Thanks a lot :-)
My pleasure, Tom! Glad you like them! :)
Love the introduction pure brilliance!!! Great rountine as well!!
Thank you, TPB! :)
@@Tennisfiles watched some of your old videos super jealous of all the players you've seen
@@tennisparisbrothers8001 Haha thanks TPB! I'm sure you'll get to speak to great players in the future, keep up the great work! :)
Good job
Excellent workouts
Very glad you like them! :)
Great drills! I’m modifying them for our softball team!
Fantastic! Love to hear it! Let me know how it goes 💪🏼🥳
This is great! I'm 46 (male) and my level is the European equivalent of a 5.0+. I'm wondering can I combine this on the same workout session with agility ladder drills ... or would it be overkill? I train with juniors and semi pros twice a week.
Hey Mehran... I just started with Tennis.... Please could you videos of performing certain skills in Tennis like how to do the volley, half volley, smash, forehand drive, backhand drive, over head, slice, lob shot and any other skills useful in the game of Tennis... It'll really be helpful thanks in anticipation
Being able to cover a fair proportion of the court gives you increased competitiveness. This workout will help achieve this.
Exactly right, John! Cheers 💪🏼 🎾
Good workout but to increase speed you need to add in getting up to full speed sprints. The distance depends on age and speed. At 64 yo I use the length of the court as a minimum. 40 to 50 yds. would probably be better. You might need a bit more distance than the length of the court. You should also start your video with a reminder to do a dynamic warmup first. I can see a lot of injuries if people “jump” into this workout without a warmup.
For example Usain Bolt doesn’t reach top speed until about 70m. Mere mortals reach top speed at a shorter distance, but far more than anything done on court. Reaching top speed is important in speed training even if we never reach those speeds or distances on court.
Excellent feedback, thanks Mike! I definitely agree about the need for a dynamic warmup. According to Lee Taft (The Speed Guy) these exercises will develop your on court speed but I do see the utility of doing longer distance sprints as well. Cheers.
Can you do a video on how to win with just strokes and agility but not pace of ball if you could only choose two of them. Assuming ones max power pace potential of the ball is the average pace for most people.
Thanks J, this is a great topic! I am putting it on the list for sure! Hope to do it once the snow melts :)
@@Tennisfiles Thank you, that's my situation right now. I have to go pure cunning tactics to stay in the point due to being on the lower part of the power level bell curve.
I loved this so much! I have been trying to research for RUclips video like yours that explains the topics in this vid!Your explanation really is similar to the vids from Dr Ethan. His demonstrations are totally educational and he actually helped me a lot on school! He is an educational med student on RUclips and he talks about vaccines and health symptoms.
I recommend you watch his page out and give the doc a subscribe! 👉 #StudentDoctorEthan
Very glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the suggestion! 💪🙏
