Thanks Sanda, I know what you are saying. It's impossible to compare the couples on the new show with JR/SE and Bobby/Pam those remain my favorite tv couples and it won't change. I do like the couples on the new show though. But it's not the same. Still I hope Elena and Chris patches things up in season 3! :)
YOu know something, Elena, and Christopher FUCKED UP BIG TIME, and I will tell why I said that. First of all, when Elena accepted John Ross proposal, she should have stuck by him no matter what. This is BEFORE John Ross became so damn ruthless, to the point where she didn't recognize him when he confronted both Nicholas, and her about the video of Emma & him. Believe it or not, John Ross was actually a pretty good guy. But when there was a misunderstanding between Elena, and John Ross, she didn't believe him, she should have believed him considering that he loved her. John Ross was not perfect, but he loved her to death. But then, what I find messed up is that Elena didn't even have the guts to even face John Ross in person, and return the engagement ring. If you didn't want to be with him, fine, but at least have the guts to face him in person. She had her mother return his engagement ring, which I thought was really messed up. That's a slap in the face after everything they had been through together. Christopher messed up when he just took his cousin's woman. He didn't think about the fact, hey, my cousin, and this woman, even though I do love her, their engagement, I need to give her at least some time to get over this before I start anything with her, and deal with my cousin? But he didn't do that either. He just didn't care. If they had done things differently, John Ross wouldn't have done the hurtful things that he did to them. Their relationship would not have been so strained as it was for so long. Christopher, and him could even have been the best of friends, like brothers. Overall, before he dealt with Pamela, with Emma, with Amanda, or Krystina Carrington-Ewing, his current wife now, Elena was the one for him. If things had turned out differently, they could have had their own child together. But Elena handled the situation all wrong, and so did Christopher.
+Derek Mathews I know what you're saying. But I think we can chalk it up to bad writing. The writers on Dallas TNT never spent enough time building up their couples before they started tearing them down. In the beginning I was about to start shipping John Ross and Elena. I got goosebumps when he proposed to her and started looking forward to the wedding. But the writers ruined that in the same episode! In retrospect I liked John Ross and PamBecca more and Chris and Elena did have a love story going on too.
+Derek Mathews, I liked John Ross, and Pamela Rebecca too. You are right, who am I kidding? The TNT version, as much as I loved it, the writing was downright horrible though. They did the same thing to Elena and John Ross that they did to Emma, and John Ross, Christopher, and Pamela Rebecca, and so on. If the writers had done it right, Elena, and John Ross could have gotten married, and made it stick. They would have their happy times, and tough times as well, that's what marriage is all about. I mean, I wish those relationships were like Bobby, and Ann. I mean even as much as they loved each other, they went through a lot together. That relationship was developed, the others weren't.
Derek have you watched the original Dallas or did you start with TNT? The reason I ask is because I think the relationships and characters were much better developed on the original show. They put even Ann and Bobby to shame. Anyway if Dallas TNT had had better writing and treated their couples with more respect I bet you the show would still have been on the air since the cast was really superb.
So beautiful♥
Love it, beautiful.
