We haven't been to that side of the Rhodope, but we spent a wonderful time in and around Trigrad several years ago. A couple of wonderful caves, and a harrowing jeep ride up the Eagles Eye.
I'm trying to learn about Bulgaria from the perspective of a British person thinking of retiring there, so most things about the country interest me. Many thanks for your videos.
Thank you for this video. I'd love to see the way of life in these villages throuout the whole year& seasons, to know how one would live there, how will one support himself, how to work the land, having animals, etc.
I have an channel that maybe of interest to you then, and though I’ve not put any content for a year on it, there will be a lot more coming this year ruclips.net/channel/UC2CFwnwmM0zkpfklSfRlbmA
I do like a round of golf, put not played since I’ve been here as there is only a few in the country. The the price for a round is Astronomical. I maybe be able to doing a video on them in a few months when the weather picks up a bit
There is sooooo much to see in the Rhodope Mountains, I've not even scratched the surface yet. I'm Sure your going have a great time....and don't worry the time will fly
To your question where we prefer to go on vacation, I will tell you my opinion now: 1. Bulgarians living in the interior of the country go on vacation during the summer season at sea, and during the winter season - go to the mountains. 2. Foreigners who come to tourism in Bulgaria, go more to the mountains to ski during their vacation, but the sea in summer is not attractive to them, except for British young people looking for cheap alcohol and flash. we, the locals from Bulgaria, go everywhere in our country and know its beauties, but we do not have the skills to make good hotels like B&B - bed and breakfast, because we are very lazy and do not want to waste on other people to make them nice and fine. When you understand this, you will understand exactly what the mantles of today's and the old Bulgarian individual are.
1) mountains, for sure, and this lovely village is my dream..
It is a very lovely village yes
Mountains.
And yes, I am watching those villages too... Plus I understand the language too ;)

There are many picturesque villages like this in Bulgaria! Tryavna, Etara, Delchevo, Dryanovo, Troyan, Kovachevitsa, Bojentsi, to name a few.
In time they will all have videos on my channel, as I love the small towns too
Tryavna and Troyan are TOWNS, not villages, Dayan Balevski.
@@TheTorpila Sorry I meant towns. My bad.
Thank you I will try to visit when I go back home :)
These are absolutely amazing villages, and well preserved and respected locally...definitely worth a visit
Thanks for your informative videos. I was curious about the golf courses there and if you have seen or been to them. Thanks and God bless!

Bulgaria is a well kept secret of Europe...the beauty of the land, the religious history and the people
It really is, it has everything to offer and more do you have a favourite part?
communism has kept Bulgaria hidden from Europe and the world! You can blame communism for this.
Blame or thank...?
@@ATasteofBulgaria depends on the point of view? :D
Aha....very clever answer. There are always many truths in every story

Mountains for me.
What is it about the mountains that you enjoy, the clean air, the beauty......or?
@@ATasteofBulgaria generally less people packed into a small space, what you said and less commercialisation.
Good points, people a generally looking for off the beat and track destinations with as least amount of people as possible
Bulgar muslims live here, islam grew here very much
Yes I have heard that before about the area
It's lovely, but I feel a bit weird about spending "as little as 55 euros a night" on a holiday let when that could be a weekly wage for the locals ☹
I see your point, and it is very said that the average salaries here are so low
Bro I want to settle down in Bulgaria, please guide me.
How can I help you, what would you like to know?
