I'm from Germany and I'm interested in English culture if you can tell me something about it
Is the song which the man of 1st question sings parody of "I like chinise" of pythons?
Is it my imagination or was he helping her?
Hy BBC Learning English! I hope you are doing great!
I have a question for you, I hope you will answer it. Now let me come to the question.
I read this sentence in a newspaper
"THERE has been no let-up in the opposition’s campaign against the PTI government, and going by the latest jalsa in Larkana, neither is there any plan of relenting".
I did not understand why the author used "Going By" and the second is that "Nither" used alone. Why he not used "Nor" with "nither".
Thanks
Going by here means “based on”
For neither we don’t always have to use the structure neither…nor. We use this structure specifically for two things that you don’t like / have /do etc
e.g. I have neither an Apple nor a Samsung device.
Neither can be used alone, for example to agree with someone in a negative sense
e.g. Me: “I don’t like pork”
You: “Neither do I
Or it could be something like
e.g. Neither of them likes pork or
e.g. He doesn’t like pork and neither does Lala.
"where are you going on holiday by the way?" ..... Minus three points for lying
wow
Mya hate the hats :"/
Hhhhhhhh 3 points minus for lying
Hii
4:28. Can someone tell me what does fifty-twelve means please? Thanks
It is numbers, but it is very unusual for us, they can say it only they
5012
It kinda sucks, the rules are telled at the beggining of the show, not at the middle :v
I'm going to make a complaint for this contest coz the host (Will) as well as the voicer(Leslie) are not fair with the news contestants, that's looks like the politics in my country(Colombia) but wait a minute, how can I do that, where should i go, what i going to do there's lots of questions!!!
You are right but they only exagerate what happens in real life! .And that's why the program is so interesting and so effective in teaching English !!!
Is this a real show in tv no for kids?
What is his last name ? Is he a real teacher or just an actor ?
Why did you make tom loses!??
Will - please pronounce 'dear' with its final 'r' sound,
same for 'fear' and 'here', etc.
I hate to be the number 666 to like this, but, guys... you are worthy of it! Hahaha! Congrats!
If you didn't get the 50-12 joke, check at urbandictionary com))))
