Long Haul: "Hhnnnrrrg, Lord Megatron, Im trying to sneak around the Ark... But Im dummy THICC and the clap of my ass cheeks keeps alerting the Autobots!"
I actually got the Hasbro 2015 for my birthday last year, (my next birthday being tomorrow, I'll be 16,) he's currently (and literally,) standing as the biggest Transformer I have right now. Devastator clocks in around 1 and a half feet, and my little sister is around 4 feet.
I bought this guy and installed some upgraded 3d printed parts on the cons and hot diggety damn, they are basically Undersized Unite Warriors figures to me.

The official figure is probably one of my favorites in my collection. I wish the green was darker like on the box art but that's barely a complaint. The size just makes it awkward to transform if you don't got the room, it makes me a bit nervous to get other titans like Omega and Trypticon but otherwise, I love this thing
@@PerspectiveEnd Oh it's not solidity it's the sheer size of the figure. I don't hate the transformation either it's just the size and weight of it, also getting the crest to tab into the treads on the arms is a little funky. You're right, all the detail and functionality feels right at this scale. Not enough people know about this figure but hes perfect for anyone missing a Devy for their Generations collection.
I own the Takara Unite Warriors Devastator, and I looooove him! I never wanted the combiner wars one. The Takara one is screen accurate panted, you can lift the visor for eyes, all the figures have elbow joints, and all of the constructions have their respective G1 gun. After years of getting that I wanted a scales Devastator for my CW combiners. I got this as well, for an knock of is pretty cool, I bought t it for 36 dollars though. I just keep him in combines mode, I don't want to risk certain figures breaking. The one I combine and uncombine is the Takara one of course. I got the Takara Bardigus (RID Ruination as Well), so to have a Bruticus bought the knock off as well. Amazing for $35! If you want a good Devastator, the the Oversized Ko of the Generation toy Gravity Builder, made from Jinbao, is probably the best option out there. I want it too and you can find it on eBay WITH THE UPGRADE KIT, PLUS SHIPPING FOR AROUND 200$! That's a steal.
Since all my other combiners are the G2 versions (barring Abominus but he's colourful enough to fit in), I'm tempted to pick up the yellow-orange version of this set... well, _was_ until I found out about the risk of Mixmaster's busted arm.
Glad to see you cover this guy, even if it’s a knock off. I bought the hasbro one on Amazon. The first one I got had been replaced with a bat man an Superman action figures. The second one I got one of the arms broke off. The third one was fine. And they refunded my purchase and I got it for free because of the first two being as they were. I love this guy. The new age and the other one I don’t like because they cheat and use a torso with head. It looks good, but that’s not a real combiner in my opinion.
@@PerspectiveEnd Someone bought devastator from Amazon and put the Batman and superman action figures inside of it and taped the package back up and pretended it was still brand new. So they were able to keep the devastator by putting some toys inside and Amazon resold it as brand new. They didn’t check to make sure the person returning it was ripping them off. So the first one I bought was the one with random toys inside the devastator box.
Cause I did not have it at the time. If I didn't talk about something in my retrospectives, I never picked it up, and I failed to get MOST of CW. I don't know if it was readable in the thumbnail, but I gave my self a text bubble saying "What just shot right past me" and I had Devestators arm just in frame with zoom lines on the other side of the thumbnail.

I actually got this Devastator in the mail today, had to wait until I got out of school to mess with it, and I really like it. Now I do have some tolerance issues, tabs are overly tight on the armbots where the threads are supposed to stay in place, the tiny circular tab on the front of Hook broke and that causes the pec to split and that drives my OCD nuts, Scrapper’s arm are way too damn tight to rotate and I swear that one is just gonna sheer off, Devastator’s left elbow is HORRIBLY tight (you remember in your Fanstoys Jetfire review you said the squeaks would keep you up at night? Yeah that’s how bad his elbow is), and basically every ball joint is too loose. But hopefully I can fix those and for being $40 this is great and he’s my first ever complete combiner. Quick question, what would you recommend to loosen up Devastator’s elbow because loosening the screw doesn’t fix it?
I rather have this cheap ko that scales well with titans, because the original one is garbage to pay 300+ for an official release with shitty looking single robots and the impossible to find upgrade kit that don't fix the shit robot mode of that dump truck.....
I'm not sure why DX9 Hulkie gets so much hate frome Devastator fans. Original and KOOS versions are on my shelf. His head is too small and hands are guilty of partsforming but he's fun, stable, and quite posable. And, AND, I got both for less than $100. Long ago I had just ordered the ToyWorld original version (without all the extra paint) just as you did your review...I've had no issues yet, luckily.
Eventually. It's just people were losing interest over time, and it was really starting to get to me just how much they were breaking every time I reviewed them.
Hey for your next devestator there's a toy company that makes animals turn into cubes and they recently made devastor with the sepreate limb bots who turn into cubes, and limbs and even a stylized/ futuristic vechile mode combine into devestator, if you happen to get it id hope you do a review of it some day
I am not well versed in third party because simply put. I don't care for third party but from what I could gather ToyWorld is NOTORIOUS for having god awful QC, so bad its borderline -30/100!
I have the official one, and this one is definitely the kind you can give a child. In fact, siege skyfire’s backpack goes up to the official one’s waist, so i want to know how tall skyfire is against your devastator.
He came up to about the top of the blue part of sky fires cockpit. If I'm remembering incorrectly that is. I had to make space since my collection grew so much. So that's in storage now.
Mixmaster‘s alt-mode is weird but I don’t get the hate for it. It’s still a cement mixer. It’s still green purple and silver, has 6 wheels, a cement drum, the robot and leg modes still look nearly identical to G1. Oh no! Now instead of reversing to wherever you want your cement poured you have to drive forward! Oh the huge manatee! Would people throw the same kind of fit if Long hail turned into one of those regular 6-wheeled dump trucks instead of a four wheeled earth mover? Or if Ratchet turned into an actual ambulance for once? Or if Optimus turned into a long-nosed tru-oooooooooh. Oh yeah they would. Like I get it if you don’t want it, just don’t get it. But the hate for this is unreal. Even Thew of all people complained about it.
It's just weird, and ugly, and it's the only one that's completely wrong. Like if the whole set were different vehicles that'd be one thing, but he's stands out because he's the only one who's different. And it makes the foot wrong. The foot is supposed to be the cab of the truck.
My guess is that these guys were originally meant to be this size but someone at Hasbro said that the titan meant for cw needed longer to bake so they had to just upscale devy my guess is that that titan was Trypticon because itd make a lot more sense especially as when has a line EVER had more than one titan so I think this just makes more sense to me
I don't see it being like that, this is far too small for being what they intended. Though I do agree that these were probably supposed to be closer to deluxe size, or the very least small voyager as opposed to extremely big a voyager.
Well, not gonna lie, it is interesting to see ii in deluxe edition. And as for the question of the video.. This one is unrelated to the video. Did my e-mail reached his destination. aka you?

That would be pretty great.
I Like It, I'm Not Gonna Get it because of the SS 86 one Coming up (They were Gonna Start it in Wave 2, But they Decided to hold back until, IDK when)
Man it better not just be a rerelease of the CW one... Again.
@@PerspectiveEnd I can Guarantee It won't be, Not only does the Articulation not live up to Today's Standards, they're also not accurate to G1, Plus I'm pretty sure they Didn't release it so they could Make all the Sculpts, or fix them
If you want a good Devastator, the the Oversized Ko of the Generation toy Gravity Builder, made from Jinbao, is probably the best option out there. I want it too and you can find it on eBay WITH THE UPGRADE KIT, PLUS SHIPPING FOR AROUND 200$! That's a steal.
See everyone recommends that, but I just cant get past how Swole he is.
Since all my other combiners are the G2 versions (barring Abominus but he's colourful enough to fit in), I'm tempted to pick up the yellow-orange version of this set... well, _was_ until I found out about the risk of Mixmaster's busted arm.
I think it's less of a risk than you might expect. The joint is Shaped like "_" but I had it rotated so it was "I" and then I was pressing on it like
What about the small bois
What about em?
Do a week of the small bois
This is a possibility.
Why was it replaced by Batman?
@@PerspectiveEnd Someone bought devastator from Amazon and put the Batman and superman action figures inside of it and taped the package back up and pretended it was still brand new. So they were able to keep the devastator by putting some toys inside and Amazon resold it as brand new. They didn’t check to make sure the person returning it was ripping them off. So the first one I bought was the one with random toys inside the devastator box.
Just boosting comments
Thank you so much!
One time some kid brought out this set at lunch. In school. He got all the girls that day.
The KO or the Original. Also damn those girls had taste.
@@PerspectiveEnd original. In great condition. He transformed it in front of everyone. He was the most popular kid in school for a week.
Small bois need love
But the thing about Small Bois is it's easy to love them. There's no level of production in to doing it.
"Devaster" in the thumbnail sounds like a Third Party name.
DAMN IT! How did I not notice that Typo!
im interested to see how the X-transbots one turns out, if it doesnt have ridiculous pars forming it could be really good.
I hoe that one will be good, but the renders look strange right now.
I have the official one and ive always really liked it. I always wondered why you never talked about this figure in your Combiner wars video.
I’m gonna need to buy another one of these. I actually ruined my current one because I didn’t know KO plastic and hair dryers don’t mix so Scapper got melted
Ouch! Sorry to hear that, that's lame. Glad you like it enough to want a second one though.
I see him online for 350
That's the ebay link to a version of the one I bought. Its... MAAAAASIVE.

"I wanna SMASH THIS F*CKING THING TO BITS!
DEVASTATOR, YOU'VE GONE AND DONE IT A-F*CKING-GAIN!
I LOVE YOU!
It's not that bad."
I pity any of you if you don't get that.
Then you must pity me.

I rather have this cheap ko that scales well with titans, because the original one is garbage to pay 300+ for an official release with shitty looking single robots and the impossible to find upgrade kit that don't fix the shit robot mode of that dump truck.....
Indeed. Even when this thing breaks because it was so cheap, it's 40 bucks, I have few tears to cry about it.
I grabbed JinBao’s OS Devastator. I’ve got a knock off of a knock off that’s really solid.
People really want to see me cover that.
I got a KO bruticus from the same company, and after maybe 6 months of having it, Vortex’s comboner snapped off while I was posing the combined mode.
That's unfortunate, though at least it was cheap. Not like the Toy World Devastator.
1:58 he’s a thicc boi
Thicc implies some level of attractiveness. A brick can't be thicc.
@@PerspectiveEnd speak for yourself my friend
Should I buy this for my chug collection?,I have the Jinbao with the upgrade kit that fits with my mp but I do like the idea of a compact devastator
At this scale I'd say it does not fit a Chug Collection.
You should check out dx9 war in pocket they have a great legends Devastator
I have that yes.
Fun fact: Minus Mixmaster arm, all of the flaws is on the original
Indeed, this is a very faithful downscale.
I never liked CW Devastator, the Unite Warriors was good but extremely overpriced. I recommend Maketoys Green Giant more
The small one is fun in it's own ways.
What do you think about the mini devistator?
I'm confused by the question? Is that not what I just did in this video?
I wonder...if Legacy did a new Devastator, would they just try to repackage CW with shittier material ala Buzzworthy?
I'm hearing rumors of an 86 Devastator.
I'm glad to hear your ToyWorld has not died. And yeah I like the DX9 one, I don't get peoples problems.
Are you planning on reviewing the rest of the Toyworld constructions any time soon?
Eventually. It's just people were losing interest over time, and it was really starting to get to me just how much they were breaking every time I reviewed them.
Hey for your next devestator there's a toy company that makes animals turn into cubes and they recently made devastor with the sepreate limb bots who turn into cubes, and limbs and even a stylized/ futuristic vechile mode combine into devestator, if you happen to get it id hope you do a review of it some day
That is already in shipping to my house.
I am not well versed in third party because simply put. I don't care for third party but from what I could gather ToyWorld is NOTORIOUS for having god awful QC, so bad its borderline -30/100!
I'd not heard of that before I bought the Toyworld, but I believe it after having gotten one my self.
LOL MY MIXMASTERS RIGHT ARM ALSO BROKE
I've heard from like 2 others the same thing. I think that might be the sets weak point.
I have the original and the only problem I have is that the top thigh part is ungodly tight
Yeah it's pretty tight on mine too.
Hey Perspective, maybe you could give the jinbao ko devvy a shot
So many people want to see me cover that.
Huh, whadaya know. I guess I may make a purchase from Sirtous after all.
I got mine on Ebay, I don't know how SirToys is on trustworthyness.
I have been tempted by this before but I am going to wait for a better one official or 3rd party
So in 90 years
@@wsmstudio3329 haha yeah probably
Apparently there's going to be a Studio Series 86 one so hopefully that won't just be another Re-release.
I hope they do make more proportioned constructicons for legacy as well as Bruticus
One can dream.
Never understood the cementmixer being changed. Even the live action movie one would of be better.
It's such a bizarre decision to have only one figure be wrong.
Hi
Hello!
Didn't know downscaled cw devastator existed before this video but how does it scale with other combiners?
It's pretty much exactly as tall as Siege Skyfire, so like the size of a normal CW Combiner.
he's as tall as a Combiner that uses Perfect Effect foot.
bro my mixmaster arm is also broken!
Yeah unfortunately that's like the weak point of this whole set. A fun toy, that's cursed with super thin plastic.
Is there any place where I can get this?
Sirtoys
You can get it on Ebay and some people have said Amazon.
Would you recommend this set? I want it but I am not sure.
The official set is too large for me and I am not sure about this knockoff set
It's a little brittle but yes. For 40 bucks it's hard to go wrong and it's just fun. If it breaks you kind of just go "Oh well, fun while it lasted".
Have you ever considered doing a siege prowl review some time, mainly to explain in more detail why you hate prowls character so much
I mean I planned on doing the review, but I didn't think to insert my feelings on the character so that's an interesting idea.
Well, not gonna lie, it is interesting to see ii in deluxe edition.
And as for the question of the video..
This one is unrelated to the video.
Did my e-mail reached his destination. aka you?
I've read it and responded to it now.
im thinking valcanicus or abominus could be next video
An interesting guess.
I would pay double or triple the price for it to have even slightly stronger plastic.
You'd pay a hundred bucks for this? Part of what makes it so appealing is the low price.
