(the black and yellow/bumblebee frankie that's burried with Dimebag) (his OG black and white frankie) (and then the iconic black white and red Frankie) they're all strat style and predate his custom Kramers. he didn't partner/rock Kramers until the the Floyd rose locking systems were refined and popula around the time of the 1984 album.

On the old Van Halen recordings, the guitar's only mixed into one channel. You could have just turned that channel off so you could play alone to the bass, rums, and vocals.
