Patrick, you're right. It's both humbling and inspiring. For me, it's the kind of thing that makes me step back, realize my limitations, and resolve to be the best and most expressive player I can be, within my limitations. Here at age 71, I'm finally focusing on rhythm playing--- learning how to really "make it swing", as the expression goes. And I'm having a ton of fun doing that, especially as a guy who plays and sings on a solo basis (just my guitar and my voice, nothing else), mostly at retirement and memory care facilities. Developing that "make it swing" rhythm skill in the last couple of years has really enabled me to render nice tasteful renditions of my favorite songs of the 60's and 70's without a second guitar player, a bassist, or a drummer. It's challenging, but very fun and rewarding. Guitar playing is a lot more enjoyable when we stop looking at it as a contest. Once we get past that, we can enjoy and appreciate masters like Matteo, Tommy Emmanuel, and so many others, without feeling discouraged.

Semplicemente eccezionale Matteo!😁👌
Wow!! Absolutely awesome, amazing, stunning, excellent - words fail me... just true talent!!!
I enjoyed this performace so much. What a great player is he.
Phuqing Phenomenal!!!!! I love this dude!
The best guitarist I have seen in forever! Bravo and look forward to following your career and live performances 🔥🎸
Great job Matteo. To be able to play music is a gift and Matteo is one of the most gifted of all the top tier guitar players today. Not to get too preachy but folks, eternity is forever and their aint gonna be no music in hell... none, forever. The other place is for music, love, and laughter... go there instead!
orgoglio italiano, grande Matteo
This Guy is totally off this planet. Thers days when I'm playing guitar having been inspired by another Mancuso video and i think just forget trying to do anything this guy is capable of. He is the finest world player combining the elements of the virtuoso players of the last hundred years and more . Every top player knows he's untouchable in ability. Im just glad to be living in a time where this young go will be around to take it even further and to watch ,, such a nice guy too .. Man unbelievable
we are living in the moments of an amazing upcoming guitarist
upcoming?!?! hahaha hes already there!
He's an astonishing talent, and he is also a really sweet, nice guy. So is his dad. I got to meet them personally. I feel privileged to have met him, attended clinics, shook his hand, and seen him play up close several times this year.
This dudes right hand may be more impressive than his left, good lord he can pick! Killing it on that Yamaha, i have no idea why more guys dont play those, i have yet to hear a Revstar sound bad.
The most exciting player in the world right now. Matteo is taking guitar beyond where other players have been!
No. I don’t think so. Sounds like Shrapnel Records circa the mid-90s.
Well done. Nice nod to EVH at the end while putting your own stamp on the tune. Keep bringing it!
Probablement le meilleur guitariste de sa génération 😊
Matteo is just too good. Definitely an Inspiration to so many.😊
Please go back to Shrapnel Records’ catalog from the late 80s into the mid-90’s. It is vastly more interesting and impressive than this.
@@a.s.2426since you’re commenting this below every comment in the video: he’s playing a COVER. What do you expect?? Go listen to the other stuff by him to see the kind of musician he is.
Whoa! Whoa! This is the man, Matteo Mancuso. The Guitar Wizard. Superbly Fantastic performance. Undoubtedly.
Take care of this beautiful musician. He is truly a gift from above!
Just INCREDIBLE!!! Love ❤️ ❤❤ your music…your style is so unique and adds a part of you to no matter what you play!!! WOW!
Matteo takes guitar playing to the next level. Hendrix did it, then Eddie did it in 1978, and now it is Matteo who changes the game. this guy is out of this world.
He's good but not that good.
Agreed ! But I would add Malmsteen, Satriani, and Vai in between.
(and maybe some other people -- but you get the idea)
Vai, Bonamassa and DiMeola disagree with you.@charkvaror2112
his technique is on par with the greatest and he still has more time to develop.
So funny ahahah - this is pure technique like seeing a freestyler vs a real football player
A natural! From a musical family and inspired by his father, a classical guitarist, which explains his technique. You should never stop playing as a kid, because you can achieve greatness as Matteo has! Bravo Matteo! Che capolavoro!
Grandissimo Matteo!
What! Is! This!? 😮 absolute breathtaking!
A buon'ora
Che ddu coglioni co sto meistrim. Anche qui fate complottismo?
Deve ancora fare un album, comunque 😅
@@tonguelover6666in realtà un disco c’è. Si intitola The Journey, uscito quest’estate. Merita molto!
@@tonguelover6666

Fenomenale Matteo, puo' suonare divinamente ogni genere di musica... 🎸🎸🎸💯💯💯
This kid is unbelievable! Phenomenal playing and with just his fingers! Fantastic performance Matteo and Forza Italia!!!
The best texhnique on the planet. Feel and phrasing is top notch too.
Really impressed with Matteo's rhythm and aggression !
Beautiful, it makes me appreciate how incredibly clean Eddie was
Matteo fenomeno mondiale, orgoglio siciliano, italiano, mondiale, patrimonio dell'umanità
You are a monster musician Mateo - just brilliant cover - sounds like you infused it with some lightning- the speed and accuracy of your leads is so fluid and natural sounding , so expressive - 🙏🎼🎸💥💥🙏🌏✌️ I hope Paul McCartney hears this - you and your whole band just are spectacular- EVH would certainly salute you as well - you are incredible!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
what relates this to Paul McCartney?
The Kinks not the Beatles
UN BE LiEV ABLE intro !!!!!!!!
What a speed and preciseness absolutly no no no nobody can do this !!!!!!!!!!!
Being a 'Virtuoso' is one thing and he is. However, creating/writing great music is something else.
Matteo you literally fly over the finger board. Incredible control and feel. He'll be around for a long time.
74 years old Los Angeles Musician
Matteo he's the next level of guitar playing! He's got it all!
WARNING! WARNING! This man is an alien from the planet Guitaro! He has come to conquer Earth... and he has succeeded!! Fantastico!!!🤩
I'm just gobsmacked about how much young talent there is in the world today, this guy included. They are blowing away all my musical heroes, many of whom were in their 40s before they matured. Glad to witness it.
You are fantastic , outstanding Thankyou
Talento immenso
Its blown me away amazing incredible, beautiful it takes guitar playing on another Level, Malmsteen,Di Meola,Mc Laughlin, Matteo is the Future, thank you so much Mille Grazie
👍👍👍👍
Every once and awhile someone comes along and takes the guitar to a new level, Matteo is that person.
Amazing version
I am now 67 years old, I have been playing the guitar since I was 8 years old, and I have been studying music all my life. Mancuso is a good guitarist and plays at a high level.
I move to the Netherlands for music and lost everything I had and don't make any money from music. Some people go to high school for music and later they don't have a job with music. The rappers who make a good living with music and it don’t require a music school.
My experience with music is better as a hobby I know many musicians without a job.
I regret moving to the Netherlands for nothing and lost all the time of my life.
At least you have magic truffles without moving man, appreciate the good things of life.
Great version👍
