Non lo conoscevo, ma sono davvero contento che ci sia ancora qualcuno 'nato' per la Musica, visto il panorama odierno molto piatto. Tecnica e velocità semplicemente strepitose, tecnica non fine a sé stessa, che accompagna e dirige magistralmente volando tra le note, facendo dimenticare che è una chitarra elettrica. Bravo!!!

Ho scoperto Matteo da poco e sono rimasto a bocca aperta! Non ho mai sentito suonare così una chitarra, e non solo jazz! Se Wes Montgomery suonava solo con il pollice (e ti chiedi come facesse) Matteo usa quattro dita della mano destra e pensi che si tratti di un miracolo, di un soffio divino! Scale supersoniche realizzate con diteggiatura da virtuoso chitarrista classico, tecnica country tipo finger picking, posizione della mano da vero bassista, il tutto innervato da una sensibilità musicale che combina vari generi in una strabiliante e magica contaminatio! E quando poi rallenta sulla traccia melodica fa cantare la chitarra come fosse Mozart! Numero uno!

@@gackerman99 guess you busted me...I'd heard a lot of hype for months and had fairly low expectations, wasn't really interested in hearing Mancuso and maybe wouldn't have bothered until a friend turned me on to a ticket to one of his shows a few months ago. I've been to shows from Greg Howe, Vai, Holdsworth, Di Meola, Mclaughlin, Eric Johnson, Vernon Reid, Fiuczynski, Malmsteen, Govan, Krantz, Dharma. Coryell, Abasi, Buckethead, Sonny Sharrock, Scott Henderson, Hedges, Torn, Zappa, Fripp, Rypdal and Nels Cline to name a few. The playing at the Mancuso gig was as impressive and mindblowing as anything I've heard.
Because he is italian ...cultural imperialism is a fabulous way to publicize and propagandize political imperialism, doing a huge amount of money at the same time ...the ridiculouse american mania of doing these completely questionable rankings, in my opinion, is a marketing policy that help anglosaxon majors of music, to tell to billions of teenagers around the world, what kind of music is cool to listen to. Just match the two datas: All the biggest world rock/pop majors are american and 1 is british, English is the international language. All not english speaking artists who have had a huge success in the U.S.A. and UK sang and spoke a beautifull English ( ABBA - Cardigans- Bjork - Scorpions - Måneskin ... just to name a few). English speaking world simply doesn't want or can't listen a song it can't undestand ..they can't belittle. One time an English guy described Italy as a musical desert ...i replied - among other things - saying that Italy has practically "invented" music such as many other things in the history of human civilitation... he said that it concerns the past, but now they lead the world of music with their immense talent ... clearly Giuseppe Verdi and Puccini can't compete with Robbie Williams ( with all the due respect) 😂. That last piece is quite something !! I'd love him to explore red baron, and the intro of the stratus album by billy cobham. The trio will have no trouble heading into that, these guys are incredible !!
He will have a hard time being given his proper due. Most pick players will go with Govan simply because what he does is slightly more familiar. While what Matteo does no one has ever done. But Matteo is already better then anyone around today
As a classical guitarist, Classical, Jazz, and, modern electric trained. I have always had incomparable control of my right hand, as far as picking goes. But as a Classical guitar player, I have always tried to apply those techniques to the electric guitar. But the strings are to slinky to keep that same control. Matteo has some how mastered the rest stroke/free stroke finger style to the electric guitar. I've always tried, but gave up, out of frustration. He has either discouraged me, or inspired me to keep trying. I think I'll keep trying. I'm not to bad at crossing that bridge, but I am quite far from. Thank you Matteo, for showing us that it is possible.
