Thanks to a comment we found out Casey Neistat was looking for an intro jingle for his Couple's Therapy Podcast. Since we have a lot of experience making theme songs like this, we decided to do a couple versions of the intro for Candice and Casey just for fun. Enjoy and feel free to tweet it at him if you like! Wouldn't it be awesome if this became the official theme song for Couples Therapy?

I wish you guys had a cool place where people could pay you to do these intros. You did an outro for us YEARS ago, and we always thought a short 4 second intro would be awesome. Heck our fans wanted a full version of our song covered by you guys as well! eheheh This was awesome! Sucks he didn't pick yours!

Great video, bad jingle. Hate to you break it to you but that was not a Bossa Nova. A Bossa Nova is a gently flowing groove, usually comprised of major seventh chords, and light percussion. I heard one chord with no flavor, a painful drum groove, and strange voice sampling. I mean you did get the 2 3 clave in there, but this honestly sounded like a metal head trying to play Latin music. Great video though!
If you want to hear a good Bossa Nova, check out Frank Sinatra’s “Girl From Ipanema”, or Dexter Gordon’s “Blue Bossa”. Great charts and great musicians
Thanks, glad you like the video! As far as the Jingle, while it might not be an amazing Bossa Nova and is basic at best, it's a bit of a stretch to say it's not a Bossa Nova at all. Instrumental wise it's about the most standard Bossa Nova drum groove in existence and although it was one chord, it's a standard Bossa Nova chord (Cm7) bouncing around the bass note for movement which is also something commonly done in Bossa Nova's. I will admit vocal wise I don't necessarily have the best Bossa Nova vocals in the world but I worked with what I had. That said, what do you mean by strange vocal sampling? I actually sang it and there's not a whole lot that's "strange" about it.. unless that's just your way of saying you don't like it? Also, although I've played it a bit on guitar and drums before, I will say it was my first time actually attempting to record a Bossa Nova (I generally record rock, punk, metal stuff) and I used similar processing as well as the same drum samples that I use in my normal music so I guess that's where you could be getting the "metal head" thing from (especially considering it's safe to assume most Bossa Nova's are recorded with live drums, not samples) although I definitely don't consider myself a metal head at all. I can see how comparatively it doesn't even come close to songs like “Girl From Ipanema” but come on are you really going to compare me to Frank Sinatra? Also, as far as the jingle goes my plan was to literally do exactly what Casey and Candice asked for which sort of limited potential for real Bossa Nova feel, but given what I had I think I pulled it off pretty well. I used the exact lyrics Casey sang, played it in the same key Casey was singing in, made sure every instrumental element was in Bossa Nova style, and even used pretty much the same tempo Candice was singing her Bossa Nova example. Also, just for the record there's no clave in this recording, what you're hearing is actually a cross stick rim click on the snare. Either way, I appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching!
