The plane doesn't have a sufficient surface to "plug" the hole, the air would continue to flow in the free areas. About the ground effect, I'm with you. Too difficult to go through a small space like that at about Mach 1 and maintain the plane at less than 3 feet, both for pilot ability and the air vortex that would be generated. Probably a pilot would dead like ten times before accomplishing the task.

I watched totaly impressed until the spin trough the exit. Let me guess, recorded in slowmo mode and replayed in normal speed. However it was totaly fun to watch. Never even got the idea to try that. A like for that.
