Bringing this Era back would make paintball great again
Ah yes 2005... before the dark times, when my knees didn't hurt so much lol.
I remember watching this on Limewire in high school. It was worth sacrificing the family computer. And the music is the only thing I remembered until now. Thank you
This is the paintball i remember so aggressive don't have more then 5 seconds to even think and if u did take 5 seconds you're getting bunkered. And the fights was a weekly thing in my field. Was so much angry and competition. I miss this era!
God I'm so happy I played during the attitude era of paintball. Everyone who played around this time misses it and doesnt like what it has become. I wish there would be a group that would truly seek out to make this sport great again and go back to what it use to be.
I am in Michigan. It's an adult league to bring it back to what it was
@@vanya65 let's play. What field?
Ah yeah the golden years of paintball. I miss them. Back when the local park was open and both WGP & WDP were still making amazing markers.... I miss my Superstock 😭 lol
I would still kill for a karnivor
@@therealfauxstradamus1135 facts lol I saw one for sale on Ebay for like $1200.00 in mint condition and it had a Russian Legion anno. I threw my wallet at my smart phone but nothing happened 🤣
That wipe on the tank was smooth lol
Perfect Sunday paintball documentary 🤘 thanks PBNation
This really got me in the mood to go out and paintball!
Man I miss watching old paintball. It's just a way different game than it used to be.
Fast Forward 15 years, now people complain about over shooting🙄 *Facepalm😑
It makes new players not want to come back not everyone thinks bloody welps are cool especially most employers lol
@@jiggyjfishing219 I don't think his comment was for a rental or even recreational player.
I'm 30 and I remember when we talked like 15 bps was slow. At that rate, when you caught one, you caught 8 if you were fast. 15 if you weren't.
That's how I learned to play. It was the learning curve.
2-5 hits isn't overshooting. Lol. Not all hits leave a "welt".
What employer do you have that's giving you a full body inspection every Monday? I would go to corporate or something about that. My employer hasn't ever noticed a welt on me.
@@patrickbranchini378 tbh I wish they would bring the bps up overall in woods all rec ball speedball etc like just getting your bunker lit up while your behind it is just a adrenaline rush well for me atleast
@@yourpbtv that constant reminder that if you make a simple mistake, they're putting it on you. Lol. I like it. I understand why people don't. Especially new players.
I'm a big advocate of uncapped semi.
It was what made me decent at the sport. I played hockey from 6yrs -20 yrs old. Paintball came when I turned 11. Hockey was rough, fast, painful, and adrenaline filled. Paintball (speedball specifically) checked all those boxes.
I fell in love with the sport and am willing to play it however I need to to make sure the next generation can enjoy it as well.
However, at the competitive, divisional, and pro levels, I think uncapped semi and a max of 6 pods and a loader per point would be a good way to make it more fun to watch.
@@patrickbranchini378 yeah fax I always find myself watching old NPPL matches lol 😂
Still got this on dvd, this is prolly my favorite paintball vid of all time
Same. It was my first DerDer video ever. Unbeatable
Used watch this on dvd before like every event as a kid so rad👊⚔
this fucking era man, love it so much. timmies, evil omen, chris lasoya, bob long, rocky knuth and the naughty dogs, that one long haired stoner dude who had a rasta angel made after him, goddddddddddddddddddddddddd
back when it was the wild west of paintball
Man tempers used to flare back then love the intensity. The numbers say paint ball is bigger today but it did loose the edgy side a little which we love. The only place that feels like home.
Love the old Derder vids. Would love to see a short bus compilation.
The golden age of paintball.
I miss paint balling . Hopefully they open this summer
Ahh the feels lol! Crazy looking back. We used to think using drop forwards and cramming the tank under the gun was “pro”. And used to use those extra tall feed necks cause it was all about that stack lol. Now days look at the guns. Lol. Love this game
Big thanks for movie !!!
Really wished derder put these songs on a purchasable album….. bc they are so hard to find these days to keep
Song starting at 49:33 feels like it doesn't even exist, Shazam can't pick it up, and all google searches go to Jay-Zs record label 😪
I played for Shockwave UK just saw myself running the tape mugging out players now my knees are knackered and waiting for knee replacement surgery and will also need a hip replacement as well but I would not change that for not playing paintball miss it all the time
Salute
i knew not paying that $14.99 for this dvd 15 years ago would pay off.
🤣
The 15 BPS was insane, intensity turned up to 11 😂
I feel like the people who long for this time in paintball are just feeling nostalgic and think that's why it was "better". This was definitely when I got into it as a kid, but looking back...it just seems super janky compared to now.
Wish I had the time to actually play these days, seems like a much better sport now.
The fields catering to children instead of adults is killing the game. Everything is getting handled with kid gloves these days
Profesionals play now. Street punks were alpha back then but this era would not stand against today.
dope af , timeless vibes
yessss! this is so cool
i still have this dvd
Dynasty's use of the power stance is what led them to multiple world titles
Great video
22:40 I love this song by Victory Mansion, mainly because you can't understand most of the lyrics 💜
omg i own that EXACT SAME CHESS SET in the beginning!!
@30:33 who ever this is, this dudes 'run-n-gun' out to the corner at the break out is flawless, and absolutely impressive. His foot speed but the fact that his barrel isnt bouncing round while running that fast and shooting upfield made me stop and replay it about 20 times.
Playing speedball now and seeing this era his run n gun was like 5 years ahead his time
Closes the broken lid on instinct 😂
This is when people didn't complain about 15 bps.....welcome to 10.5....people need to grow a pair
I was about to ask if those first clips were filmed in San Diego then I say the El Cortez lol
This was the BEST time for paintball. Now its eh
In your opinion, why was "back then" better then 2020 paintball? I'm really enjoying the sport, and I'm hoping to get into it this summer
Agreed. Ramping and NXL killed the sport.
@@IBIoodGNR There was way more PB company's/manufacturers and innovation back In the day, Also 2 formats NPPL and PSP. Way more teams and way more shit talking and aggression. Its fun now I still play but it wont compared to the glory days. Paintball is at its Peak right now. I started playing at 15 and im 32 Ive played it all, NPPL, PSP, NXL. 10man, 7man 5man, hell even 3 man lol!
@@addictedkids12345 word man respect! That's awesome. I dont know anyone that plays so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction
There needs to be another big league for sure, but I think the game is more athletic and precision based now, which i believe make it better now than it ever has been. Guns don't shoot as fast in NXL anymore (not that they couldn't shoot the same speed as these), but they are simpler, lighter, more durable, and require far less maintenance. The barrier to entry is lower which means a lot of people can afford the sport, and I believe we will be seeing the second renaissance of pb in the coming future. I could see them bumping it up to 13.3 for the pros tho, that would be sweet. Or 15 for pro and 13 for the semi pro.
Does anyone know where can I find the songs on this video
love asg
the days when u could shoot 30bps and hide it
What's the song name at 30:22
Is the dye 2011 Proto reflex a good gun?
young ryan lmao
Can I join the kids teams I'm 15 from TALLAHASSEE
First!!!!
true semi auto. The only way to play paintball..... FAST AF.
True semi auto? there was more uncapped ramping than anything else in that vid lol
Timmies and old school...nu metal...
This vid I don’t like but good work
