Gotta love when you ‘sound self centered’ when you talk about your disability. My mom said ‘I don’t tell anybody about my back problems, I just find a place to lay down’. That’s cool, I can’t bc I often have to remind others that I’m disabled. Not self centered, just trying to get accommodation from people who forget
Oh, and I can’t wear a mask while walking and it was a big problem in the US because very few people in my area wear them and tons of people say they can’t wear it for health reasons… because 70% of the population is unable to wear one…
Wow!! Your video sums up how a lot of us disabled feel! I have degenerating discs in my lower back! You can't see it! But imagine getting intimate with someone! And oh by the way I have an indwelling Foley catheter! But I can empty or take off my pee bag! On an out of town shopping trip I will use a wheelchair & leg brace! Like you I am deaf,I wear two powerful hearing aids! Which if I had long hair would be invisible! At times my speech suffers! And no I have not been on the booze with strange speech! I don't fit in with the deaf community as I speak but cannot sign as I have a medical condition where I cannot spell a lot of words so my phone is doing this! When your out with friends before the lockdown how much of the conversation did you miss? I only have one good eye,the other was damaged by an ulcer when I was younger! At the moment my good eye is damaged & waiting for an op to put in a new lense so I am classed as legally blind right now! I use a red/white cane so I don't walk in to things! But when the eye is fixed I will have "normal" vision so I must be faking my disability! I have a radar disabled toilet key for when I am out to empty my pee bag! But I don't look disabled! I also have a fear of public toilets as a 13yr old I was raped in a store cupboard by a teacher! Hence not using a public toilet! Your right max theydon't look disabled in the video! I could not see their hearing aids(hope I got the pronouns etc right) as for your coloured lenses to an outsider they could be ones that change with the light! And I don't care how disabled a person is it's what's inside that counts! Any person would be lucky to have you in their lives! 🤗🤗♿😄😄
