    Very helpful and educational video, I'm going to put badges on mine but if I'm really anxious or in a low mood they'd probably be useful.
    I have many disabilities but I'm mainly hoping to get the lanyard for my anxiety/sensory and social issues.

    I am going to buy some items from them & it's a bonus some of the money to go to you! You have quite a few disabilities! I use a radar key & at the moment my sight is bad & I have severe to profound hearing loss! We don't see you so much in your wheelchair! But we don't see you day in day out! I have just started to use a red/white cane,I went out for the first time using it! And two women said " poor guy! I hate being called a guy! He is deaf,two hearing aids on show and "blind" he can't have much of a life not seeing or hearing! But not all deafblind people are totally deaf or blind! So these cards will help me as when my speech is bad I cannot get the words out! So I am seen as "simple" it's nice to know more about your illnesses etc! I hope you patented all these as it could earn you some money & help disabled people like myself! I hope you got the masks I sent you from your Amazon list! I have learnt a lot from you max i just wish more people would take the time to message me! Being deafblind is so lonely! Plus not every disability is visual! I too need a wheelchair if there is a lot of walking to be done! I think a lot of you tubers would love to know more about your illnesses & disabilities! Please! ❤️❤️❤️

    Thank you so much for this video - I am a college student traveling abroad to where they recognize these lanyards and I didn’t know where to start, what information to include, etc. I am multiply disabled and also have POTS and other conditions like ARFID that I’ve seen your channel discuss and I was very glad to see a video from someone who shares many of my experiences. I am also trans and pagan (I saw some of your other videos referencing trans and pagan topics so I hope it’s okay to assume) thank you again for the information and sharing your experience.

    I've been looking at stickman cards and wondering if i should buy them for a while but i always put it off because i 'don't *really* need them (not true, that is internalised ableism) , but with an affiliate link and remembering how good they are i probably going to get some! i didn't know they had the 'dont touch my wheelchair' ones and they are very cool, and unfortunately needed a lot

      Even if you didn’t need them it’s still ok to have them 🧡 you are enough!

    There are entire wheelchair accessible paths that are behind a key? That just sounds lovely, means nobody else can set up in the way... It's very interesting to me when you talk about the ways your country has made life more accessible.
    Thank you so much for sharing!
    (If you're taking suggestions, I would love to see a reenactment of the way people can hurt you by trying to help in the wrong place! This is a really common issue. my friends and I Have all had this happen to us many times)

    • @OuchMouse
      @OuchMouse  3 года назад +1

      Well, I’m not sure they’re all entirely wheelchair accessible, but some of them can be! I’ve seen it next to kissing gates before, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that the whole path is accessible if that makes sense.
      Very happy to make that video! Watch this space 😁

    PS max please could you tell me where you can get the lanyard that shows people you have medical problems? I do have a radar key! At one stage you had to prove you were disabled to get one as people were abusing the disabled toilets,it cost me £5 at the time! And in over 30 years of having one I did not know the key opened other things too! I just thought it's was toilets in public places! Your right about wheelchairs on a bus or train,on a bus you see other passengers moan as your making them late for their shopping etc! Or the bus drivers don't want to get their hands dirty! And a number of times I was made to wait for the next bus as the wheelchair space was filled with a baby buggy & the bus driver would not make them fold them up! I did complain to stagecoach who said they would make their drivers aware! But most of the time I use crutches when on a bus! But since covid not been on one for over a year! Lucky I cannot see much! Imagine on a bad day trying to use a crutch & a white cane! But I might paint my crutch red & white instead to show I am deafblind at the moment! So I would be grateful for an email address of where I can get a lanyard! I hope also your getting on ok with your hearing aids after the problems you had! I would be lost without mine! They are my ears! Like at the moment until my eye operation my cane is my eyes! Feel free to DM for any advice or if your down in the dumps etc! 💖💖💖

      You can get the lanyards free from Sainsbury’s, you just go and ask the cashier and you don’t have to tell them what your disabilities are, or you can buy them online from the sunflower lanyard website for like £2 :)

      @@OuchMouse that's kind of you to reply so quickly! After asking you the question I googled & got the answer you gave me! I have to say you come up with some bloody good idea's I can't wait for Saturday's to see what your next video will be,and I was reading a lot of old posts of yours on IG it took ages as I had to zoom in on every post! Having very little sight at the moment is frustrating at times! I had to treat you again for your kindness so you should have more masks from your Amazon list! You made me take a long hard look at myself & how I want people to see me so thank you again! ♿♿💜💜

    I also have a sunflower lanyard! Mine is because I am autistic. I am in the US so it's not as well known but it definitely is still a thing here and people do still recognize it, just not as much as in the UK. I just found your channel right now and I am already subscribed because your channel reminds me of my own and is the type of content I am looking for! What I mean by the reminding thing is that I post disability content and content about my animals and I love to find channels that post disability content and other content too! Also I am learning ASL.

      I’m with you there buddy. I’m from Canada, and I have mine coming in a few weeks (before school starts that’s for sure), and that’s because I’m also autistic, and I do have a bit of social anxiety. It also comes with a card and card holder showing my name, my conditions, and some stuff to be aware of, and my parents numbers on the back! I thought it would be convenient because I’m not one with words most of the time, and I thought it would be a little easier for me. Hopefully I get to add some cute shit on there too!

    i have a tic disorder (i believe that i'm going to be diagnosed with tourettes in a few months) and i don't know if it would be appropriate for me to wear the lanyard. i don't want to accidentally disrespect anyone. i've done a bit of research but haven't really found anything. do you know if it would be appropriate for me to be wearing one? thanks!!
