Puma 164 was shot down during Op Uric, Mapai, 1/9/79, as described by Col Reid-Daly in "Top Secret War". We lost, inter alia, Leroy Duberly, national Rugby Fullback, and Lt Charlie Small, a highly respected engineer. I believe Preller Geldenhuys flew in Uric, and describes being 'lit up' by sophisticated Soviet anti-aircraft radar systems, including "Spoon Rest" and "Flat Face". Uric was one of the very few occasions when all deceased soldiers bodies were not recovered from the battlefield, due to the risk of further casualties. RIP
