Really enjoyed the video for two reasons. One - I did a company commanders course in Bloemfontein circa 1985 (if I recall correctly) and Pierre de Jager was on the same course. Pierre related this exact ambush to us as a group and to hear it again with Col Malan (plus pics) just expanded that incident with more context. Two - I attended a JRA dinner a few years back where Col Malan was the guest speaker. The topic he spoke about was the Battle of Cuito Cuanavale. Outstanding evening. Love the channel Koos

I was on all 3 subs and worked with a lot of guys from 4 recce as a deck runner to get the guys, boats and equipment out and off the boats and want to buy these books. Great guys to work with and to party with after the OP.

Will there be a program covering Cajundu. PLEASE I was there and remember we ran into a minefield with 32 early morning on our way tru the bush to the FAPLA basis. Hot extraction the next day with Pumas dropping us on the other side of the river while FAPLA was dropping mortars on us. Kapt Ratte seems very knowledgeable about what exactly happened at Cajundu. To this day I do not know why we had to get out of the basis and start running north ?????
