    You are a life saver. I didn't have the nub but I found a rubber gasket in the same place that popped out and gave me a 2 inch hole to work with. Thank you my kind Sir.

    When I installed my sub and amp this was the most difficult step for me. It was just awkward and hard to reach. Hopefully my next install goes smoother thanks to this video

    Exactly what I was looking for! Now to try to find that rubber protrusion!

    So by posting this video, you're saying EVERY vehicle will have this same little nub you cut off to run the wire? I don't seen anything that would make this video vehicle specific, so it may not be as "easy" as this video claims it to be.

      no, but it gives you the idea how to go about it if there is no nub - just use sth to poke thrugh a big gourment that has a lot of rubber, seal it off and job is done

      No as he said at the end he hoped the video was informative not that he had some all in one cure to car cabin entry

      All vehicles should have this or something similar unless it’s some new electric car or some shit or a mid-engine

    Be super careful when doing this. In some cars, the rubber grommet for the main harness is NOT sold separately.
    So if you split it, you're going to have to get a new harness which is a $2500+ job.

    my grommet has one of those plugs above it. is that a courtesy spot that the car manufacturer put there for you to run a cable into your vehicle? or is there a chance of it touching the other wires within?

      @grantcapel9884 4 месяца назад +2

      Shouldn’t matter if they’re touching as long as they’re properly sleeved and insulated

      @@grantcapel9884 i ended up running it from the engine bay, under the vehicle passenger carpet there was a super hard-plastic circle. I drilled through it- been slappin tha bass ever since

    In my vehicle (2003 hyundai accent) there is no easily accessible grommet without taking apart my whole dash. Every amp/sub install video has stuff like this where it’s right under.

    I hate firewalls. You do 99% of the work no problem. Then at the end you have break your shit trying to run that one thing which makes it all work.
