Hi. I'm considering buying this camera bag and have been watching numerous review videos to help make up my mind. I have to say, yours is not only the best video review of this bag, but the best video review of ANY bag (and, believe me, over the years I've watched hundreds). So I just want to say a huge thanks for your time and immaculate presentation. Cheers, mate.
Great video! I've watched about 6 reviews for this bag and this is by far the best, as you actually show how it's used in real life, instead of just sitting at a desk describing the features. Now I just have to decide between the 350 and 450!
dont know if you guys cares but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my brother these days :)
Really awesome review. You pretty much nailed it on every aspect of it.. except for the internal features. But tell you what. hands down bro, one of the best reviews I've seen. Well done.
This is a great review. I like the way you broke down the different aspects of this bag, especially the Flipside section because this is the main reason I am looking at Flipside series. I have had a Lowepro sling bag for over a decade but am looking at 2-strap alternatives, I want easy access to my a equipment. Thank You.
hallo, i'm a bit confused. In the vdeo you are talking about the 450 model, but in the beginning of the video you have written '350'? Which model is show in the video ?? thank you.
Hey, great video, especially the beginning bit loading up the backpack, most useful review i've seen. There is a Flipside Trek 450 backpack that lowepro makes (range has 250, 350, 450). I have exactly same gear as you (wide angle, standard zoom and 2.8 70-200 and mid-large tripod). Sorry to ask again but at the start of the video you mention its a 450. Would all that gear fit inside the 350?
+Mark Hackett Mark, I apologize for the confusion. I reviewed the Flipside Trek 450. All of that fear that I had would not for on the Flipside Trek 350.
hi. good review. can you tell if the camera compartment is detachable from the rest of the backpack? Or can it be opened in some way so we can have full acces to the backpack interior from the top compartment? thanks.
Hey! I liked your score system but even that youve mentioned almost everything, i still have question about this bag. Can you remove the top divider so you have normal backpack for various stuff?
What is the size difference from the 350 model to 450 iam getting ready to order this pack only downfall is a dont see a way for a hydration bladder i go on long treks with dji mavic air nd filters sony a6000 and spare batteries not near as much as in this video . I guess i would just have to find a 2 liter water bottle lol
Thanks for the review. Can we keep a DSLR mounted with a telephoto lens mounted together.. just to understand whether to keep separate or can it be keep together.. please advise. I wanted to use Nikon d750 mounted with 200-500mm lens.
A 200-500 might be a bit large, I don't know its dimensions thought. In our tests we used a Canon 6d and a 70-200 attached and was able to store it. If you find the dimensions of that setup and yours it will get you closer to your definite answer.
I LOOOOVE Clik Elite, sadly they are out of business, but you still might be able to find their packs. They are a little on the pricey side but my packs are bombproof. The other pack that got high marks is the Manfrotto Manhattan. You can see that video here ruclips.net/video/2GmC-wdqiMg/видео.html
Thanks for taking the time to watch. It is the Manfrotto MT055CXPRO3. You can watch the review video for it here. ruclips.net/user/edit?o=U&video_id=VZH0BfthOEo
A practical and thorough review. At the beginning you tried to fit a small laptop in. Do you think a 12-inch Samsung tablet would fit in the front pocket?
+Natural Stuff thank you for watching and leaving the kind comment. It will be real tight with a twelve inch laptop. All dimensions on laptops are slightly different so it's hard to speak in terms of certainty. My twelve inch Vaio Z Canvas will fit if that helps.
Backflip Photo, I looked up the dimensions of your Vaio Z Canvas and it pretty much matches my tablet - my tablet is narrower and even thinner, so it should fit! Thanks, I can now put this bag on my shopping list.
In the upper compartment? Yeah, it would fit a nice lunch. There is a rain slicker included so water wouldn't be a problem if you took the proper steps to protect it.
Good review! Nothing against the Flipside 450 (I got one), but IMO the Flipside Trek is a value for money series so loading it with 26 pounds is a bit optimistic. Interesting test though. Also, about the Photo Sport BP 300 - it's actually possible to fit a tripod. A travel tripod will fit inside the pack. It slides down beside the photo compartment and its a feature that makes the Photo Sport BP 300 one of my favorite photo packs. The harness is kind of weak though when the pack is fully loaded.
Hey, great review man! I think I am sold on this bag. i believe I can attach a small one man tent to the loop holes on the bottom (using some extra binding) and a small sleeping bag to the top loops. Which makes it ideal for a 1 or 2 night photography trip in the wild :)
Andy_Curtis28 Thanks for watching. I am certain it would be a great pack for something like that. The extra molle straps on this pack make it highly versatile. the biggest one, the 450, was the one I tested it wasn't overly big. I'm glad the review helped solidify your decision.
Nice and detailed review. I like this solid backpack but I prefer the Protactic series. And I wish Lowepro comes out with the same dimension in protactic series as all the proratic series are either too small or too thin or too big. May be I may pick up this Flipside Trek 450.
+Fn. Thank you for watching g and taking the time to comment. I appreciate it. With my ski she'll I would be able to fit a sandwich and that's about it. Drink on the side pocket. So enough food to get you through a lengthy photo day. Remember the pack is designed with Molly straps, so additional storage is just a clip away.
hello! thank You for very nice and thorough review. In Your opinion are there any better backpacks to choose from? Choosing a good and all-around backpack is so much struggle...
+Wojtek W thank you for taking the time to watch. This pack was one of the very best packs I have ever tested. It's incredibly versatile and big enough for most users. You can't go wrong adding this one to your lineup.
ok, I bought it, and after few field trips it is exactly as You described in the review and in Your comments -can't go wrong with this one. for me it's perfect. Thank You!
This bag seems the most ideal in aesthetics and carrying ability, but the fact that it does not have pocket for a 15" laptop is a depressing deal breaker for me. Such a shame, but a great bag it seems.
I know, practically perfect it is so close. I have a video on a pack that might work for you. ruclips.net/video/al2qrhvXkFk/видео.html It is the Clik Elite brand, they have since gone out of business. It's too bad, because they made by far the most rugged packs on the planet. I own two, and this Express 2.0 pack is my everyday user. Plenty of room for a laptop. Snag one while there is still stock lying around, they were always on the more pricey side, but it is a buy it once pack without a doubt. I found one on Amazon amzn.to/2s7igvY check it out.
Seems like you're whining. The basic design of the pack is excellent for someone that wants a good camera / hiking backpack. How you pack your equipment is on you.

Glad I could help. Thanks for watching.
An honest, detailed review by a consumer for a consumer 👌 I know everything i needed or wanted to know about this pack now ! Great review.
dont know if you guys cares but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my brother these days :)
@Bruno Eugene definitely, I've been watching on InstaFlixxer for years myself :D
Really awesome review. You pretty much nailed it on every aspect of it.. except for the internal features. But tell you what. hands down bro, one of the best reviews I've seen. Well done.
+modelviz I appreciate you watching. Thanks for leaving the kind comment too!
Man, you are a hero. If only every review on youtube is this good. Subscribed!
This is a great review. I like the way you broke down the different aspects of this bag, especially the Flipside section because this is the main reason I am looking at Flipside series. I have had a Lowepro sling bag for over a decade but am looking at 2-strap alternatives, I want easy access to my a equipment. Thank You.
How well is the shoulder harness with no load lifter straps?
This was really an excellent product review. I own the 450 and I must agree on all your observations. I enjoy your channel- thanks and subbed!
hallo, i'm a bit confused. In the vdeo you are talking about the 450 model, but in the beginning of the video you have written '350'? Which model is show in the video ??
thank you.
Hallo, so my question remain : were you reviewing and trying to fit in your gear in the flipside trek 350 or in the flipside trek 350 ?? Thanks.

+Annemie Pijcke sorry for the confusion. That was a mistake on the lower thirds on the video. I did NOT review the 350. I reviewed the 450.
I hesitate between this or Fastpack Pro BP 250 AW III ? Can you help me ? Thanks a lot.
Awesome honest real life review. THANK YOU!
+Kimberly Maxwell my pleasure, I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment. Thank you.
hi. good review. can you tell if the camera compartment is detachable from the rest of the backpack? Or can it be opened in some way so we can have full acces to the backpack interior from the top compartment?
thanks.
Hey! I liked your score system but even that youve mentioned almost everything, i still have question about this bag. Can you remove the top divider so you have normal backpack for various stuff?
Yes, you can remove the divider between top and bottom to create one large backpack.
@@backflipphoto Ok, thanks a lot!
I’ve got a full sized tripod but thinking about getting the 350 instead of the 450.
What do you think?
That would work on a 350
Quick reply! Love it.
Thanks!
Ho,you can put a 15inch laptop inside? Thankyou so much
What is the size difference from the 350 model to 450 iam getting ready to order this pack only downfall is a dont see a way for a hydration bladder i go on long treks with dji mavic air nd filters sony a6000 and spare batteries not near as much as in this video . Excellent review. Will it fit a Canon 400mm f5.6 prime and a 7Dii

Great review. Didn't think I'd be able to fit my laptop in it. I'm sold.
What is the best photo backpack? same size as the Lowepro Flipside Trek 450 and Photo Sport BP 300 AW II
Can it fit a 13 inch macbook air?
Hi, what was the size of the laptop you put in?
Hi, thank for the video. may I ask some question
Which size of filter you put in the belt pocket?
+Yuttakon Yuttakonkit I had a 77m stowed in that pocket
Excellent review. I’m sold! BTW, where the heck did you film this? That landscape and rolling hills are eautiful!
Lowepro nailed this one. Great pack. I filmed this in the Bay Area
Great review. Which tripod is it at 3:09?
Thanks for taking the time to watch. It is the Manfrotto MT055CXPRO3. You can watch the review video for it here. ruclips.net/user/edit?o=U&video_id=VZH0BfthOEo

Bad ass. Glad it will work for you.
Also, a side note. I tested the 450 version, I know my lower thirds says 350, that was a type
What about if you want to put food and waterproofs in it?
In the upper compartment? Yeah, it would fit a nice lunch. There is a rain slicker included so water wouldn't be a problem if you took the proper steps to protect it.

Great review! Very thorough, you put a lot into this review. 👍🏻
Thank you for watching and taking time to leave us a nice comment.
Great review. Can you remove the hip straps?
No. Hip straps are not restartable reattachable
Ok, thanks!

Best review ever. I am still not sure about how much lunch I can put in the top compartment when I put a jacket in there... :/

How tall are you?
Nicely done ! Best vid for this bag.
Appreciate that Souleyman. Really do. You have some pretty bad ass videos on your feed. Thanks for stopping by.

A 250 is being sold for $100 BNIB but I think it is too small for me.
Yeah I would think the 250 is too small for my needs

Great video, thanks!

Great vid
+Rewind Remix hey, totally appreciate it. Thanks.
Thanksss, good review))
great video :)
Packing that tripod on top of laptop... cmon that is not super protective bro :D
The flipside option is useless even more when you mount your big tripod to the bag
Seems like you're whining. The basic design of the pack is excellent for someone that wants a good camera / hiking backpack. How you pack your equipment is on you.
lol your not going to break helinox chairs :D
Automatic nogo ! Jesus christ , nerd police are on their way . They have anti OCD spray so be worried.
