2 little things: - If you wanna try the game, use this link to get some extra gear to get started: stalcraft.net/s/4LA3Be - For the experienced players on EU: should I join Mercs or Covenant? it took me so long to get there, I don't want to make a bad choice :D
I suggest you to join covenant but if i'm not wrong for the moment the covenant faction has too many player inside of it, so you can't join them for now
@@Albe_Rs125 Ohhh, I'm farming mainly path of Fools right now before going deeper North and mainly see Merc players around, I was thinking about joining mercs to keep grinding in peace :D What are the advantages of Covenant?
@@CheekiBreekiTv from what i have experienced: Mercenaries side quests (at least the first ones) require you to go in the path of fools underground(that is a torture) to recover pdas that covenant outpost drop, bthere you will find Covenant soldier armed with pkp(that will kill you with 4/5 hit and have al lot of hp and then of course covenant player are going to kill you in seconds since their base is in thw underground. Covenat player are more, so in the North you have less chance to find mercenaries. And covenant have way cooler armor in my opinion
@@CheekiBreekiTv Covenant's resources are way easier to farm in their caves, it's hard for other factions to get there safely and contest your spots. also, emissions aren't an issue since you're underground all the time.
For Stalkers Freedom, for bandits Covenant These factions are both the largest and yes, you will meet OP ENDGAME PVP GODS in duty and freedom, however the most playerbase is in the 2 said factions. The game is so F-ed by the devs not giving a crap about a balance and just putting new stuff in that breaks the balance even more and keeping cool graphics and scam RNG boxes to force you to pay in the endgame x-x. Only fun this game provides is the friends I made along the way, totally 0 % stalker related, its just pain and unfun for ANY stalker fan.
The most fun you will ever have in this game is the position in the progression you are currently at. At least for me it was. The bar pvp before everyone gets insane arty builds and meta weapons was a blast.
the cordon was the greatest for me. Running up to the dumps for wire, looking for artifacts in scientist only areas, pvping with an inventory full of resources, even making the occasional terrifying pilgrimage up to bar, all of it was fun, new, and exciting. The gameplay loop was awesome, but going up north isn't any fun. the constant grind, the forced pvp, artifacts you find on the ground being useless, everyone being +15 full masters. I made a new character just to keep him cordon locked, and it's been really refreshing. apart from the SCAR ruining early game pvp, it's been the most fun I've had in a few months.
Played it when it first released, didn’t get close to 30 hours, really wish they’d just add a separate pve server with increased random patrol so it make up to the removal of pvp
Some time soon they will add replayable dungeons, so that could fix the problem, they wont add a new pve server cause they "spill beer" on their servers quite regularly..
Then just play regular stalker dude…I play this because I don’t like single player games and I want a stalker experience but online with pvp. StalCraft is the perfect blend.
@@thegrayjedi5202 and I want a co-op stalker experience, I want to work as a team with another player to explore the zone, but the pvp is unbalanced at best and annoying at worst
Been playing this for the past few weeks, the most frustrating part during the rookie stage would be running to the next base on a new map only to get killed by a random anomaly when I almost got there. Now I am at the Bar with blue tier gear like AKM and worn Falcon suit, the roads are not so dangerous anymore but a pack of hogs or even a mix of different mutants come out of nowhere and attack me from the back, death in just 3 or 4 hits. Also the grind for weapons down the tree is paniful, especually when I like to collect the guns, gotta run around all day to dig for the material... The battle pass has a Glock 18 but you won't have enough tokens until LV400 which is kinda impossible to reach, while the tech tree Glock 17 uses the same model with fire selector that just doesn't make sense.
Ya the north areas are very tough... especially as a solo, I've done enough grinding to get my master science suit and master weapons but now I'm stuck in lobbies with people who only have master everything. That would include artifacts and it just feels awful as even with master weapons and armor it really don't matter because everyone else has insane artifact builds so you basically do no damage and have 0 chance against them. Having said that the grind getting to the north zones was quite enjoyable, but the north itself almost needs a full squad to compete or you're gonna die 1000x more than you would with a group.
Played about 14 hours last year and was enjoying it but kept having network issues so I dropped it. This video gave me the itch to go back and give it another go. I know the grind is crazy but I need to scratch that itch.
I only found stalker recently, and was able to get into it cause of your which mod to play video; I have been playing a barebones vanilla+ of anomaly and can't get enough of it, this channel is my bible. I will get to Gamma and the original trilogy eventually but for my noob days I'm enjoying being able to buy guns and armour, I desperately want to be able to play something like a co-op anomaly with my brother and this looks pretty close. love your channel, heard a bandit yell your name at me the other day and I was like "ayyy cheeki breeki!!!"
Do yourself a service and play the original games, Anomaly is good but it's the kind of sandbox bs that plagues the community since Call of Chernobyl. Gamma is a bloated mess of systems and mechanics too, more bs for the "hardcore" crowd trying to turn stalker into Tarkov.
@@blackjacka.5097 yeah I’m definitely gonna get to the original games, I see what you’re saying about the sandbox element but the emergent storytelling is what makes it special for me, like in kenshi when you’ve sunk hours into a game and can look back satisfied at your characters life story/journey and the way it shaped the world from a default game state to whatever you make it, really eager to see streloks story too though
Some of us like hardcore. Tarkov is crap. There’s no LEGIT survival games out truthfully, and STALKER has the perfect atmosphere and gameplay style to create a truly horrifying survival experience. I see nothing wrong with that.
Fun in the beginning but turns to an annoying grind after a while. Personally I don't care for the PvP and if I could just experience the story without it I'd probably enjoy it a lot more.
Right now I'm around the bar / dead city / path of fools and it's pretty balanced and enjoyable, but i'm starting to get scared going deeper North, apparently it gets crazy up there :o
@@CheekiBreekiTv I just am not interested in the PvP at all, the dump was where it really got annoying to me, I got into the next area in the story and gave up at that point. I really liked the atmosphere in the beginning, everyone freaking out about emissions, how helpful everyone is, I even had a Loner revive me as a bandit. (He didn't realize I was a bad guy) And that sort of thing is just way more interesting than the silent grind for gear later.
@@RidDik417I have to disagree. I’m lvl 7 bar and early on I took several trips into red forest to grab air drops and explore. Once you get a decent gun, I had the VSS, you can get great stuff even as a solo. Just gotta be smart and outplay the others.
Nice review of the game. Been dying to play this but sadly I don’t have a PC but I’ve been daydreaming for years for Stalker multiplayer to be like this…with the new one coming out hopefully and finally this year and having multiplayer even though I gather it’s just call of duty I wish it was almost exactly like this. The PubG Stalker DayZ experience we’ve all been dreaming of. If they won’t give us a coop campaign for stalker 2 I’d love it if this existed in its place. Then again the modding community could make something out of it essentially since the dev team seem openly welcome and supportive with moders keeping the longevity of the franchise
Finish the story, and then quit. Wanna know what you do after the story? You start a literally endless grind. You start of with a small grind, you gotta do a few mutant dens, a few NPC camps. Then you start doing 100+ camps, to get 1500+ barter materials. ALL FOR ONE FUCKEN ITEM. It gets worse as you go, because other players start getting more hardcore the further north you go. And the north has a gimmick where everyone outside of your squad and special sub-faction. It isn’t a question of if you loose 1 hour worth of items, it’s a question of when. Tip: leave while you still can.
I forgor to explain the gimmick of the north: If you do not join cov/mercs as a bandit, everyone is hostile, even other bandits. Same goes for duty/freedom and stalkers It is so incredibly difficult, and not in the “quick save and try again” way. It is difficult in the “I just lost 2 hours worth of barter materials to a guy camping the entrance.” It is super needlessly tedious.
the worst part is that they actually can take your backpack i feel it would be better if the backpack was treated like the Secure containers in tarkov because people cant use the materials from your bag anyway so whats the point beside griefing to even let other people have the ability to take it. massive red flag in toxic devs, imagine all the times people died and lost hours of resources just cuz some cunt decided to throw the bag away keep it or sell it. this game had plenty of players when it came out on steam due to drewski and others, but they shot themself in the foot and loost most players almost instantly when people discovered how cancerous this game actually is @@Irn_Knih
Bro i played this game a couple of hours the last year and it was solid but the work didnt let me play it enought to like it. Now ill return to give it a try, and i am thinking if i try my same old acc or try ur link for the goodies. Haha, have a nice day Stalker! PD: Also i remember now, stopped playing due to very bad ping in south america haha.
469.7hrs rn, 4 stalkers (one for each faction but only 2 are in covenant/freedom), I joined in 2023 around when it came out and it's so amazing to see the game grow into its current state. I hope you enjoy the rest of your journey :)
i got 200 ish hours. around 220. if you do not want to grind 1 month for a certain weapon/armor (just the final tier of it, not the entire tech tree to reach it) dont play. reason i quit is cause the grind is WAYY too much
Hello, I'm an RU/NA player with around 6K hours put into this game, a bit over 2.5k on NA & over 3K in RU. I don't wanna say my personal views about end-game because to be fair, there are more people with fewer hours that can summarize how bad end-game is. Early game by all means is enjoyable and it should be where you quit if you play this game. I will however throw shade at how badly the EXBO Development team and even the CEO (ZiV) run this game into the ground. EXENS is an invasive anti-cheat, it bans you if you edit in-game files that EXBO does not approve of you changing, or by cheating. However, EXENS in Global isn't invasive due to EU laws, which means EXENS itself fails to catch cheats. It's been that way for over a year now and EXBO has never tried to fix that problem, only releasing lists of cheaters they ban on a month they feel like telling. ZiV himself has stated that the NA playerbase are whiny babies that don't know what they have, after he stated months after, He does not like playing end-game, and only plays the Early game of Stalcraft. He also stated that EXBO can't survive without him and he's apart of all of the decisions in EXBO does, when a Majority of the playerbase have complained about changes not being complete, the unbalance gameplay of end-game, events, and how bad grinding was. ZiV also streams with some of EXBO staff and he will make false promises about updates to Stalcraft. I do not know how bad development is but I can say this. There are community speakers hired by EXBO to interact with the community and tell them future plans & updates when they are allowed to. Many times, EXBO will communicate to a community speaker about something they'll do and allow it to be told to the community, the community speaker tells the community, and a day or two later, then tell them they're not doing it anymore. New content is sometimes unfinished, broken, and I've personally seen some of them abused for combat & abused to hide valuable Artifacts worth 100s of hours of grinding to buy. I do not know the treatment of the Dev team, and I don't know how bad Development is, but I can say it is bad. If you wanna play Stalcraft, stop at the Bar after you finish the Main story, and maybe play events. If you wanna play end-game, play with friends you find in-game and improve heavily in combat. The Community is horrible but you are stuck with it, get use to it. You actually need to be good and improve to enjoy Stalcraft and even then, it gets bland. EU is full of cheaters, horrible people. NA is the same but under-populated, SEA is under-populated. RU is Heavily Populated, full of crap players, and you need to run in squad to not get killed 24/7. The best way I can say End-game is, "Pick your Poison and Play the cards you are given, if not, then leave."
Oh yeah the Bar :D that is when I stopped playing. I think I will come back later again, because I enjoy the game, but I am also huge on PvE rather then PvP and it put me off. Maybe with group of friends it would work. And I also went Bandits for some reason. Second part of the game was the most enjoyable to me, the Garbage and such. First part was not that enjoyable, mainly because of the Swamp, I hate that map so much xD but got through it somehow and then got hooked until the Bar. Also feel like the grind started to be too much for me. Makes sense, it is a free game and they need to make the money somehow, so slowdown for free players was inevitable
If you expect chill stalker experience do NOT even try this game trust me. I have 1.6k hours I'm at the end game stage and it's not fun.. Devs are very very greedy, lazy, never listen to the community, enjoy pay to win events or have fun playing this game like its your 2nd job. And don't even get me started about this game's anti cheat its non existent, devs ban player manually and even still theres ALOT of cheaters, even whole cheater clans (30 member per clan) so yes just skip this game or just try RU version, servers are much better, more content, pay to win is not that bad there, you can buy armors, weapons from other players who unboxed them from real money cost crates.
Early game is super fun, mid game is very grind heavy, late game is pvp paradise, getting into master gear and into master servers is very rewarding, but punishing for solos. Get a friend or 2, or join a clan, and youll have a blast in late game.
It depends.. you really need to get into it and its best to take breaks from the game. I love it but also on the dev side is not great currently pushing really rushed updates. Personally if there was more of a french/western european community it wouldve been more fun
Funny story. I got into the Stalker series thanks to Stalcraft. I have stopped playing the game for almost a year because I am tired of the grind, PVP, and etc. Also because I got a new monitor and my pc cannot run the game at 1080p. I have about 87 hours of total playtime in the game. I played it with my friend and we had tons of funs. Honestly, as tiring as the grind is, we actually enjoyed the process. Running from Bloodsuckers, gunning down zombies, trying to evade the military, hunting for copper wire. They were fun. The tiring part is the PvP. Your point about staying in your faction's area is true. But it doesn't stop players from other factions to come and camp in your area. It happened to me and my friend a few times. The PvP is quite active from time to time. There is a place called the Cordon Bridge, and this is one of the earliest places where you can experience PvP, as it is the main road to The Bar. I might get back to the game one day, but the thought of the PvP tires me out immediately.
You should really try Adaca, the 3rd episode just released, it's the same ambiance but not the same gameplay at all, but i spent a hundred hour in it already
I made it to the bar, completed some missions in the surrounding areas, then ended up quitting. I was on a pretty dead server, so pvp was entirely grubbing. I was also solo and just cbf dealing with the grind at that stage.
The experience differs wildly depending on what servers you play on, EU is overpopulated and its next to impossible to get anything done north as a solo, NA on the other hand is underpopulated, you could go hours without seeing someone north, which makes the game boring and tedious to grind, don't know about the RU and SEA servers. The balancing up north isn't great either, you will be getting put into master lobbies when all you have is veteran gear. I would say the game is most fun in the cordon, bar and dump, but it starts taking a nose dive in fun around the fools path cuz of the insanely long and tedious grind, and the north is a hit or miss, depends if you queue with full masters or actually people with your gear level.
The midgame actually spans till north too. Cuz only master gear is considered endgame since You are basically in top 2% of playerbase who just farm for upgrades and artifacts instead of gear. It’s a fun game and I like the hardcore setting of full master in the north, but it’s definetely not for anybody.
stalcraft still has one HUGE issue that you failed to mention in this video, but otherwise it was good coverage. The amount of time you will spend trying to run back and forth between the areas is insane. The distance you are expected to travel before you save to another city is just insane. I gave up on playing stalker and switched to bandit because I couldn't get to the bar without some bandit killing me. If they added more "halfway points" where you can at least not have to run so damn far and have stash access I would easily be all in. Still might give it another go. The game is good, but the running for sometimes literally 30 minutes to get to one place just to die on the way is really frustrating. That and the nearly invisible black holes that you can't escape from
I'm on the fence on coming back to the game and your comment alone is making me question. How is it P2W? Everything in this video only enticed me to play this game further but if its plagued by P2W please save me my time and patience. Otherwise I would really love to get into it again.
well they quite literally just said "we will be deleting the cases" in the ru server, and they made it clear that ru server is their main source of money, so they might be balancing it soon. + you can buy premium shit on auction, you will be thrown into high rank servers if you get some gauss rifle in the swamps.
@@mccaeanderson9002You can techincally purchase endgame tier weapons and armor plus upgrade materials exclusive for that tier from the battlepass. If you get enough levels, you are guaranteed to recieve atleast a red weapon thats arguably better than the grindable one. That goes too for the weapons from the purchable crates which for the past seasons have been the best in the game only up until recently with the release of the ak-15. Only ones that are better over that one are obtained through drops on the north that are locked by warring clans. It´s the one side of stalcraft that these video seldom cover because they usually haven´t reached that point of the game.
First half of the game is actually fun, not much pvp usually cause everyone is new and avoid taking risks....but the moment u reach the bar u are cooked...that's why I stopped playing, getting killed on bandit side while farming by a veteran player u can barely damage gets boring fast...would love to have PvE mode only so I get a chance to discover the whole zone...
PvE only servers would kill this game faster, they are literally not an option they would make the game so fucking boring if you just had pve. the whole point is that at any time you can get into a firefight which is fine if you arent grinding or heavily juiced with loot. the problem is everything AROUND the pvp the map design the chokepoint transition zones the dogshit graphics making it easy to spot people the dogshit 20hz servers making it appear as people kill you instantly when they peek around corners. or the fact you cant fast travel Severely increasing playtime without any actual Progress. YES you will absolutely get shit on some time by someone that has better gear because the matchmaking is STILL not working properly. however i must say after many hours on EU and NA servers that the "hur durrr pve only server" shit comes from people that just have severe skill issues in avoiding fights or just terrible situational awareness. SO MANY fights were i was juiced with loot i avoided because i played my cards right on EITHER faction.
Yea, all you need is a fuck ton of luck. You can be as aware as a dog and be more skilled, but gear always wins. Doesn't matter if the guy you're fighting misses half of his shots when the other half that do hit do 1/5 of your healthbar and all your little peashooter does is polish his armor. You also have to pray that chokepoints aren't being camped, because there is no way to play around a chokepoint, you must go through and face the enemy.
@@satorumayokohama1133No offense buddy, but the idea of working hard on the grind only to get killed by sone asshole and have your shit stolen is not appealing at all. If i wanted to deal with shit like that i wluld play DayZ or gta
I played when the game was being playtested and it was released and the deep north gets so much more grindy to the point of annoyance. However everything before that is extremely fun especially with friends.
in the state of the game rn and the disregard of the devs id advise heavily ageinst these kinds of sponsors are they are using you as a catalyst to bluster their own profits through events vs nurture a community
Hey sorry if this offends but really wanted to know when you will talk about the different audiences/idea of stalker, you mentioned previously a western audience and well I'd assume the eastern audience thinks of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. very differently, and really would love to see a video of that.
i started the game 2 days ago and i can only say the campers will give you a VERY hard time as a beginner because they sit at important routes with their squad and wait for you to come by. I already have 11 hours playtime and i barely made any story progress
Just curious how is this game not getting sued by GSC? They basically copy stalker universe and make a new game with (I assume) microtransactions so they're getting profit from this. This is not inspired by stalker this is stalker faction, map, etc.
play stalker anomaly if you want a single player version of the game it is after all one of the best free 'mod' for the stalker games which stalcraft is based on
Yo love stalcraft wanted to get back into it but never got far past the kinda main pvp zone area bit. Plus being in oce(Australia) not much people played which is good till you realise half the people i was playing with didnt speak english so i could never play with others. Basically if anyone sees this and is down to make a mate im here and redownloading it now
as someone who knows a lot of people and is in a big clan and a friend in sofa no it has been fucked over the years and kind of gets boring after a while
what is important and he didn't say, to pass from early to mid game (agro, dark vally and dump) you have to farm your soul out for the fucking metals; condor area is ofter camped by rats (especially EU) and all npcs when allerted try to shoot you even when you are behind a wall (AI peak gameplay)
Xordon and swampss were the top fun times od the game cus everyone is friendly cordon and dump is like mid friend you cant be sure to get your back back after bar the north is fucked up its full of sweat players i saw player get end game guns and use low level aemor to fight with low level players and once one of my same faction friend refused to help me and acted like a cringe baby so i give up the game for some time and im still angry since russians and us have different access to weapeons i would die for a okp-7
My reccomendation: play until you beat the main story and a little bit of bar/army warehouse/fools path grinding. After that you get into endgame which is grinding hell and boring
I have a TKB-0146M assault rifle and I cant level it up because Im a bandit and it says I need a HIGHer Stalker level how do I do this if im a bandit not a Stalker?
One thing that was bad during early steam release, like, the initial months was the fact that people were engaging PVP not to do any activities that we have now, like golden airdrop etc. They PVP for the sake of griefing, literally just that. Some of them even blundered by focusing on PVP so much the PVE got better gears than them for several weeks because they refuse to grind and just try to camp bases etc instead. That was WAY before the devs made safezones a separate location.
to much cheaters in endgame on EU servers, go on NA, there's way less players, but way less cheaters Don't think you'll be able to get your backpack in mid-endgame players are scumbags who will void it or fence it to ruin your progression
True that. I put like 200h and was crafting every single item from the game (or almost) and finished with the Bar area, was rough... amount of cheaters and toxic end game campers who go into area of FOrest far east (meaning they need to put lots of Km to get there as Bandits) sitting in bush just to kill you, slow down your progress. They aint even touch your backpack, or maybe they do by throwing it away somewhere else. Until game has those soviet pedophiles (who SHOULDN'T BE even in the game sicne they got own RU servers) saying "We're professionals" meaning that they use every exploit/cheat/outside support to "win", whatever win means to them. I was about to come back when they announced some resouce convertring mechanics but can't find any info on that.
@@genzowakabayashi2766 you are right for almost everything but 2 things aren't : - in endgame be sure that you'll never sée you backpack ever again if it as a minimum value or weigh. - those toxic cheaters are neo-nxzi ukrainians who play on EU because they litteraly get destroy on RU servers, some russians tried EU but most of them went back to RU because of all these lowlife ukrainians cheating so hard just like if it was the casual gameplay. There is not a lot of cheaters on RU surprisingly.
Uh huh, lot's of heart...The devs ignore their community. They add stuff nobody cares about and senseless changes and rebalances nobody wants, people need more content up north to interact with because it gets dry fast, that's why most are quitting.
That loot reselling mechanic is *really* smart, and honestly so simple I wish I’d thought of it… … but the latter part of the game sounds deeply unpleasantly like the worst part of Stalker fandoms idea of what makes Stalker cool and it’s not my thing.
love stalcraft but event hackers and just hackers in genral are so bad rn takje it from someone with over 3k hours playing. its fun but you need a group
Dude thanks for making some StalCraft content. Not enough people talk about it and it’s very underrated. I’ve got almost 200 hours in and have recently just finished lvl 7 at the Bar, with A LOT of content left to finish before I move on to end game. There’s so much to do that this game is well worth playing even if the end game is terrible. And I don’t even know that is even true that’s just what a few people say and they’re probably just crying. Good stuff you got a new sub!
the people arent crying they have experienced it and are waiting for redesigns, fixed and rebalances for ages since these devs are so terrible at their job. the game isnt underrated its right where it should be, in the dumpster. it has potential it can also be very fun but so can other games. this game needs a playerbase drought to get their shit together.
@@satorumayokohama1133 I half agree with you. For a free game it’s got a LOT of hours worth of content before you get to whatever the terrible end game part is. I get it trust me. Been gaming since the 90s so I’ve been in these streets lol. I’ve quit StalCraft for now and maybe like you said, a player drought will get the devs to wake up. My only point was that there IS a lot of fun to be had before you get to the crappy end game.
tbh i love this game and when the first emission hit and i saw all the players run to cover was the coolest feeling ever however when we were in cover i saw all the player models and the animation from holding a gun and the faces looked soo stupid and the animation is like a bow in minecraft pretty much the same which both i find ugly and thats when i left again. i mean i do know its called stalcraft for a reason but it just sucks there not a non minecraft version of it because its so well made.
Dude that’s not entirely true. I’ve literally just maxed out lvl 7 at the Bar and I’ve played 190.2 hours. And there’s STILL tons of content to finish before even getting to further end game. I mean, if a free game gives you 200 plus hours of good solid content for FREE, it’s good.
yeah, all the way up to finishing the bar and main quest the game is great, the Areas are fun to explore and even the quests themselves are enjoyable, it's really good for a free game. But my guy, the endgame faction pvp up north is just horrible, i've maxed Freedom and finished the all Limansk quests for the master Armor and Rune weapon and I can safely say I should have just dropped the game, there is WAYYYY to much farming and every month they ban like 50 cheaters. The "early game" is great but it's one of those games you have to cut loose once you get to endgame (imo) @@thegrayjedi5202
the first month on steam I grinded tf out of this game but then just lost interest in the grind and pvp felt terrible. Made it to the bar with a friend and stopped playing
its a very grindy game, you cant just buy guns like in stalker, you have to farm items to trade for guns and you cant loot guns off of players or enemies, the only way to progress is to basically go to the pvp areas and grind, there are campers everywhere keeping you from progressing and theres little to no way to get around any of it, the part where you get to the bar is when it gets very discouraging. not a casual or easy game, it looks like minecraft but is one of the toughest pvp games ive ever played. i wish it would have been more of a stalker with friends experience like it teases in the vids and screenshots but it is far from that. it is fun but the fun will turn into sadness quickly if you arent running with some veterans.
If you die often enough I've found the game becomes easier Source: my blue gear ahh can't find, let alone hit the broadside of a barn and I've stopped seeing other blue gear players kill me. ...It's green players now.. Will update if I somehow drop below green gear activity Only took me about.. Roughly 25 deaths? to drop down to a grade below my gears level, though maybe my KDA being literally 0 has something more to do with that than just my total deaths. But there is proof and hope that even if you (I) suck at the game it'll accommodate you!
Ahahh I read a bit about the "Russians professionals", but havn't met anybody too suspicious yet, maybe they're more up North! And I only saw QoL stuff like premium and Skins in the shop, not sure what are the P2W elements? The grind is getting intense for sure, but so far I've had an absolute blast for close to 150 hours, without spending a dime. Better than some $60 AAA games can offer, so I'm not sure how I could complain. If at some point, for whatever reason, I stop having fun, I'll just go play something else. It's really that easy!
@@CheekiBreekiTvtrue that, i noticed the cheaters during the events every time and up north, the most cheaters i've seen was during the halloween event, almost every singly game had 1-5 cheaters, taht was really unbearable.
it really is that easy, the point many people have is that this game has so much potential but the devs are just terrible. its that thing where you really like a game for what it does but then you get really fed up the way the devs just handle the game. this isnt an uncommon thing this game lost so many players after release and continues to do so. the people that do decide to stay become aware of how really wasted this potential is. its literally just a waste of time for now because they wont change it. and about the P2W bit, check out MaximumAggros "battlepass" video iirc he does go over how it is just cancer.@@CheekiBreekiTv
P2W, forcing you to farm materials in the enemy area where there are tons of campers (loners are more like bandits than bandits) and the grind is INSANE at one point. There should be more fun, less grind. also, Musicant, the boss, was inane. You literally have to exploit that battle in order to finish it.
Stalcraft x was never a game I would play I like single-player games because I can get deep in owe at looking at a digital environment. Who agrees with me here?
As someone who is hooked with over 500 hours' Hell to the NO! Avoid this game. It's fun at the start but falls off in the mid to end game. And with the events that come out now, the Devs cater to the people who swipe their cards to pay to win. You can start a fresh character, spend $400+ dollars and get the brand new master (highest tier) gun and unlimited upgrade components. Hell, you'll even get armour that's decent. All while they gatekeep how many levels the free players can get per day in the battlepass.
I recently uninstalled it, I was just sick of the PvP. I don't like games that endorse the kind of toxic rust-like PVP mindset of "ruin everyone's fun purely cause I only want to have fun"... camping quests, purely targeting players... makes the game painful to play. PvE only servers would make the game soo much more bearable.
Well Cheeki didnt say out loud if he was actually paid for this video but it does kinda sound like he was, and in case he wasnt he is for some reason not showing any critical thinking about the game. For anyone wondering if you should play it, answer is NO unless you are retired millionare who doesnt have anything better to do with his time. Game is made annoying on purpose with insane grind and best of, almost no safety nets. Spend few hours grinding? Ooooopachki, its gone cuz random no lifer camped one of the many, many chokepoints leading to safe zone. Maps are litered by "lmao you ded debil" anomalies called Black Holes that will suck you in with basically no chance of escaping OR recovering your loot, very often in absolutely stupid places aswell. The average travel time to place of your dead body can be 10+ minutes of running, provided you dont die along the way to random Black Hole or player. Will your loot be there? Most likely no, have fun grinding again. Dont forget that stuff like artifacts or certain things like places you hunt for with metal detector in order to obtain grind materials are shared with everyone and extremely limited. Tutorial shows you abnormal number of artifacts everywhere along with stuff like actual gear looting. Neither of those things is present in actual games. Artifacts are rare and usually farmed by players (provided you can even get to them as once again, "funni" Black Holes are for some reason most common anomaly in Zone) and the gear simply doesnt drop at all apart from very rare occassions like certain missions. And Cheeki himself said he got only to Bar area. Thats where the true filter begins. And after Bar? It only gets worse. Before that you have "some" safety in zones of your faction as in lets say 3/4 players are from your faction and thus wont shoot you, only take your grinding missions. However eventually you will get to places where at best 1/4 are from your own faction peaking into areas where literally everyone is hostile. Ask yourself this, do you want to play grindy as fuck "F2P" MMO with most of the bs mechanics F2P MMO´s tend to have turned to 11 for hours with often literally nothing to show for it? Then go and play this pos.
This! game is a wasted opportunity. you can see the amount of comments on this video are mostly negative due to this game beeing such a trap. the only thing this game has going for it is the fact its stalker online. all the added mechanics or lack of them such as fast travel just shows how much greed the developers have, so much greed in fact they fucked around with Loot drops of tools when the event droped so people felt obligated to buy the Battle pass for the current event because the drop rates are so dogshit. and also you can just buy yourself through the battle pass and gain excessive advantage over other players with the materials and tools you get to upgrade your gear. because once again they fucked around with the drop rates.
adding onto this they are still so many things that are just dogshit game design wise, or just bugs such as mutants pulling you towards them after getting hit that just WILL not get fixed. map design is overall atrocious playing as a stalker and bandit you really feel like you just waste your time as stalker because the paths up until the bar are just sooooooo much longer. the matchmaking still is just garbage at its finest not working how it should. game has potential that needs to be utilized i myself have liked it when it came out on steam and played for plenty hours on NA and EU. the game needs some developers that actually seek a FUTURE and not just Milk the playerbase like a cow.
No, if you wanna grind nonstop just to lose half of it to tryhards then play it, but if you wanna grind and actually see result play war thunder (still grindy as fuck but its more fun to play)
meh, war thunder is just way more depressing to grind, atleast in stalcraft you get fuckton motivation when you kill 3 enemies with some underleveled submachine gun (based on a true story)
@@AndeeC Everyone has his own opinion after all, for me is WT for you its SC, I do agree that the thrill of pvp its fun, but for me it was fun only at low level areas
eh tbh watch this game kinda make me reinstall the game,i quit cuz its was so bad,the grind was super annoying and long which is smth i didnt like at all maybe i could give it another try but i doubt it gonna be long since i already saw some of stalcraft dedicated youtuber taht already start talking abt how bad the game state currently is
2 little things:
- If you wanna try the game, use this link to get some extra gear to get started: stalcraft.net/s/4LA3Be
- For the experienced players on EU: should I join Mercs or Covenant? it took me so long to get there, I don't want to make a bad choice :D
@@CheekiBreekiTv from what i have experienced:
Mercenaries side quests (at least the first ones) require you to go in the path of fools underground(that is a torture) to recover pdas that covenant outpost drop, bthere you will find Covenant soldier armed with pkp(that will kill you with 4/5 hit and have al lot of hp and then of course covenant player are going to kill you in seconds since their base is in thw underground.
For Stalkers Freedom, for bandits Covenant
These factions are both the largest and yes, you will meet OP ENDGAME PVP GODS in duty and freedom, however the most playerbase is in the 2 said factions.
I made a new character just to keep him cordon locked, and it's been really refreshing. apart from the SCAR ruining early game pvp, it's been the most fun I've had in a few months.
yoooo mister aggro🎉
@@samiztheowo7764 sup man
I loved the Cordon. The bar was decent too, but I felt like the combat was more forced.
I didn’t go beyond that though.
@@thegrayjedi5202 and I want a co-op stalker experience, I want to work as a team with another player to explore the zone, but the pvp is unbalanced at best and annoying at worst
try the sea server not alot of people there
or NA, decent blend of pvp and calm there, although it can feel dead most of the time.
Love Stalcraft! It does get a bit stressfull later on but it´s a pretty chill experience with your buddies :)
I tried it on release and it was a fun game for sure
Well, that was a very nice video once more mate =) Happy to help anytime, let's play again soon ! Cheers =D !
Thank you
I only found stalker recently, and was able to get into it cause of your which mod to play video; I have been playing a barebones vanilla+ of anomaly and can't get enough of it, this channel is my bible.
@@blackjacka.5097You can turn off all the systems you don't want, change your damage etc. It's not super hardcore unless you want it to be
Some of us like hardcore.
@@CheekiBreekiTv North is where the game ends, they haven't balanced it. There's a faction that dominates north (all of it) in na server
(He didn't realize I was a bad guy) And that sort of thing is just way more interesting than the silent grind for gear later.
they should be rebalancing the north soon, or something like that not sure@@slimeD1
It’s great if you have friends but also it really sucks when the skill gap between friends dwindles.
I forgor to explain the gimmick of the north:
If you do not join cov/mercs as a bandit, everyone is hostile, even other bandits.
Same goes for duty/freedom and stalkers
It is so incredibly difficult, and not in the “quick save and try again” way. It is difficult in the “I just lost 2 hours worth of barter materials to a guy camping the entrance.”
It is super needlessly tedious.
@@Irn_Knih or its the hackers. i seem to aways run into them
the worst part is that they actually can take your backpack i feel it would be better if the backpack was treated like the Secure containers in tarkov because people cant use the materials from your bag anyway so whats the point beside griefing to even let other people have the ability to take it. massive red flag in toxic devs, imagine all the times people died and lost hours of resources just cuz some cunt decided to throw the bag away keep it or sell it. this game had plenty of players when it came out on steam due to drewski and others, but they shot themself in the foot and loost most players almost instantly when people discovered how cancerous this game actually is @@Irn_Knih

PD: Also i remember now, stopped playing due to very bad ping in south america haha.
469.7hrs rn, 4 stalkers (one for each faction but only 2 are in covenant/freedom), I joined in 2023 around when it came out and it's so amazing to see the game grow into its current state. I hope you enjoy the rest of your journey :)
also while doing installations at night, you can prone about 50m away and the wisps won't attack the machine.
i got 200 ish hours. around 220. if you do not want to grind 1 month for a certain weapon/armor (just the final tier of it, not the entire tech tree to reach it) dont play. reason i quit is cause the grind is WAYY too much
you are wrong, not A month, its 2 month atleast,3 months if go easy on it (not everyday heavily grinding)😂
I played 800 hours and i never got to the north willingly. My best advice is to take your time always
New content is sometimes unfinished, broken, and I've personally seen some of them abused for combat &
abused to hide valuable Artifacts worth 100s of hours of grinding to buy.
My favorite feature is the ammo bags you can carry I love holding onto like 5-10 of em so I never really have to worry about ammo
Я игрок русских серверов.
Кроме количества контента, на русских серверах всё точно также
Definitely looks like the kind of game I've been looking for i love hardcore survival and atmospheric games with guns
Early game is super fun, mid game is very grind heavy, late game is pvp paradise, getting into master gear and into master servers is very rewarding, but punishing for solos. Get a friend or 2, or join a clan, and youll have a blast in late game.
Aka get carried by people with the best gear
Never heard of it, gonna check it out! Thanks!
I made it to the bar, completed some missions in the surrounding areas, then ended up quitting. I was on a pretty dead server, so pvp was entirely grubbing. I was also solo and just cbf dealing with the grind at that stage.
Downloaded it last night, I gotta say, the intro was really good.
I would say the game is most fun in the cordon, bar and dump, but it starts taking a nose dive in fun around the fools path cuz of the insanely long and tedious grind, and the north is a hit or miss, depends if you queue with full masters or actually people with your gear level.
ive actually been playing a bit of stalcraft recently and god damn is it addicting
That and the nearly invisible black holes that you can't escape from
went from very cool with huge potential to straight P2W trash. Greed fks all.
thanks for warning me. I will skip it.
Not only P2W trash, but cheaters + having to spam dailies for WEEKS for an upgrade is just a bad system.
Ah you've convinced me, i'm giving it a try!
You also have to pray that chokepoints aren't being camped, because there is no way to play around a chokepoint, you must go through and face the enemy.
very true@@kingsonxd8348

It's been on my steam whishlist for a whilllle, still havn't pulled the trigger on it though. Is it worth it?
i started the game 2 days ago and i can only say the campers will give you a VERY hard time as a beginner because they sit at important routes with their squad and wait for you to come by. I already have 11 hours playtime and i barely made any story progress
Just curious how is this game not getting sued by GSC? They basically copy stalker universe and make a new game with (I assume) microtransactions so they're getting profit from this.
This is not inspired by stalker this is stalker faction, map, etc.
Honestly no idea. Maybe because of the war?
Maybe because they just dont care?

what is important and he didn't say, to pass from early to mid game (agro, dark vally and dump) you have to farm your soul out for the fucking metals; condor area is ofter camped by rats (especially EU) and all npcs when allerted try to shoot you even when you are behind a wall (AI peak gameplay)

900hs, he is right, you think it gets better but it just doesn't happen
Cheekie you should cover dream catcher mod it's a sequel for incubator
YES! That's the next one I'm doing.
The supposed “new event” is just a reskin of a former event called crow arena, with slight changes…
May need a new one of this ... cause the relaunch.
i feel like if this was single player it would be way more popular, this is my first time hearing about it
One thing that was bad during early steam release, like, the initial months was the fact that people were engaging PVP not to do any activities that we have now, like golden airdrop etc. They PVP for the sake of griefing, literally just that. Some of them even blundered by focusing on PVP so much the PVE got better gears than them for several weeks because they refuse to grind and just try to camp bases etc instead. That was WAY before the devs made safezones a separate location.
to much cheaters in endgame on EU servers, go on NA, there's way less players, but way less cheaters
Don't think you'll be able to get your backpack in mid-endgame players are scumbags who will void it or fence it to ruin your progression
@@genzowakabayashi2766 you are right for almost everything but 2 things aren't :
- in endgame be sure that you'll never sée you backpack ever again if it as a minimum value or weigh.
- those toxic cheaters are neo-nxzi ukrainians who play on EU because they litteraly get destroy on RU servers, some russians tried EU but most of them went back to RU because of all these lowlife ukrainians cheating so hard just like if it was the casual gameplay. There is not a lot of cheaters on RU surprisingly.
i really wish there was a singleplayer stalker game in this engine and stuff
this game should be more popular it has heart behind it and it is well thought i spent like 50 hours and i love it
it sure as shit doesnt have heart behind it Lol
Uh huh, lot's of heart...The devs ignore their community. They add stuff nobody cares about and senseless changes and rebalances nobody wants, people need more content up north to interact with because it gets dry fast, that's why most are quitting.
dont forget that the grind is made so you either pay to get your weapon or grind a full month for it
@@manoso7866Except you can't pay for a weapon -_-
If you have a Low end cheap potato pc Then try Stalcraft even your grandma computer can run it!
That loot reselling mechanic is *really* smart, and honestly so simple I wish I’d thought of it…
… but the latter part of the game sounds deeply unpleasantly like the worst part of Stalker fandoms idea of what makes Stalker cool and it’s not my thing.
I really liked the game and the atmosphere but sadly it's way too hardcore for me. Doinv invictus wasn't so stressful even.
Of all the times i died, 99,9999% the ally standing next to me just take my stuff an either try to sell it back to me or just sell it to the fence
love stalcraft but event hackers and just hackers in genral are so bad rn takje it from someone with over 3k hours playing. its fun but you need a group
My only point was that there IS a lot of fun to be had before you get to the crappy end game.
fair enough@@thegrayjedi5202
tbh i love this game and when the first emission hit and i saw all the players run to cover was the coolest feeling ever however when we were in cover i saw all the player models and the animation from holding a gun and the faces looked soo stupid and the animation is like a bow in minecraft pretty much the same which both i find ugly and thats when i left again.
i mean i do know its called stalcraft for a reason but it just sucks there not a non minecraft version of it because its so well made.
I like how you can run up stairs
question are you french or belge ???
It only goes downhill from here, sorry bud
Dude that’s not entirely true. I’ve literally just maxed out lvl 7 at the Bar and I’ve played 190.2 hours. And there’s STILL tons of content to finish before even getting to further end game. I mean, if a free game gives you 200 plus hours of good solid content for FREE, it’s good.
@@thegrayjedi5202but then just play stalker anomaly without the horrendous ganking 😂
yeah, all the way up to finishing the bar and main quest the game is great, the Areas are fun to explore and even the quests themselves are enjoyable, it's really good for a free game.
Or maybe it's just not for me, who knows
@@hakzource8660 but stalker anomaly isn’t online mmo is it? I prefer human opponents. AI is not an interesting challenge to me.
You only lose resources but not gears? Then people who just go in map to gank risk nothing?
i dont like much pvp so it was not for me but i would have loved to play more with my friend but we both prefer pve thing
the first month on steam I grinded tf out of this game but then just lost interest in the grind and pvp felt terrible. Made it to the bar with a friend and stopped playing
literally almost everyones experience summed up in a comment!
its a very grindy game, you cant just buy guns like in stalker, you have to farm items to trade for guns and you cant loot guns off of players or enemies, the only way to progress is to basically go to the pvp areas and grind, there are campers everywhere keeping you from progressing and theres little to no way to get around any of it, the part where you get to the bar is when it gets very discouraging. not a casual or easy game, it looks like minecraft but is one of the toughest pvp games ive ever played. i wish it would have been more of a stalker with friends experience like it teases in the vids and screenshots but it is far from that. it is fun but the fun will turn into sadness quickly if you arent running with some veterans.
Played it a ton on release. Was chaotic but i loved it.
I still dont get why they wont make PVE servers tho.
Never seen a valid argument for it.
If you die often enough I've found the game becomes easier
Source: my blue gear ahh can't find, let alone hit the broadside of a barn and I've stopped seeing other blue gear players kill me.
...It's green players now.. Will update if I somehow drop below green gear activity
Only took me about.. Roughly 25 deaths? to drop down to a grade below my gears level, though maybe my KDA being literally 0 has something more to do with that than just my total deaths. But there is proof and hope that even if you (I) suck at the game it'll accommodate you!
thanks for the vid, I have just installed it in linux, and works fine. I will join the Eu servers and see how far can I go
we need an OLR 3.0 review asap
I will! Can't wait to see this wild AI with my own eyes! Apparently the A-life is on another level
What is the outro song?
Cheeki you are a great advertiser, since you forgot to mention all the p2w, the horrible and pointless grind as well as ALOT of cheaters.
You literally have to exploit that battle in order to finish it.
its not really forcing you to farm in enemy areas lol? unless you mean the north where i guess this applies.
Stalcraft x was never a game I would play
I like single-player games because I can get deep in owe at looking at a digital environment.
100+ hours in, and I still haven't gotten my bonuses 😂 oh well
I recently uninstalled it, I was just sick of the PvP.
Good game sadly máster tier is hard to achieve due to the most expierence player and not event talking about the grind to get good artifacts
Short answer - yes
So like Rust?
Just gonna throw this out there….. I’d love to see some dayz, could make some good streams
same ngl
No, if you wanna grind nonstop just to lose half of it to tryhards then play it, but if you wanna grind and actually see result play war thunder (still grindy as fuck but its more fun to play)
meh, war thunder is just way more depressing to grind, atleast in stalcraft you get fuckton motivation when you kill 3 enemies with some underleveled submachine gun (based on a true story)
@@AndeeC Everyone has his own opinion after all, for me is WT for you its SC, I do agree that the thrill of pvp its fun, but for me it was fun only at low level areas
eh tbh watch this game kinda make me reinstall the game,i quit cuz its was so bad,the grind was super annoying and long which is smth i didnt like at all
maybe i could give it another try but i doubt it gonna be long since i already saw some of stalcraft dedicated youtuber taht already start talking abt how bad the game state currently is
No U shouldnt
cash grab of a game i hate it i put 1k+ hrs to get disapointed
played both stalker and bandit but man the people at bar are tryhards when you walk out and try to get pickles
I really like the game 😁👍
all you had to say is MMO for me to be like "nope"
