She gives a lot of very good information you can use to judge and find your answer yourself, stop expecting quick shallow answers to everything to just be handed for you, it’s lazy.
I have a pretty round face and seeing a lot of youtube videos about hair I was scared to get bangs even if I wanted them pretty bad. Even my mom was against it. Then one day I was like eh it's just hair and went and cut them(kinda wispy) and everyone now says that I look better with bangs and I shouldn't grow them out. So if you want to get bangs go get them don't let others decide for you :)
멜로우 Moon Skipper well no offense but like Asians people have very round faces. Not all but many has round faces in Asia and they have bangs. Like your face shape shouldn’t stop you from getting what you want. I’ll give you an example. I have a girl in our school that has a very round face like really round. But she has bangs.
I’ve been thinking about getting half moon bangs, my face structure is very soft with some prominent features like my cheek bones and my nose, I was thinking:make the sides of the bangs longer and shorter to the center of my forehead, in order to frame the shape of my face more better. If you could give me some advice or tips I would really appreciate it,thank you in advance.
Some celebs look great with bangs but the Chrissy Teigen looks awful. Just doesn't suit her face. My fave is Brigitte Bardots curtain bangs. I love your videos.
Same here, I agree with you. Maybe its just me, but I believe Chrissy Teigen has sported better looks. And yes... my fave is also Brigitte Bardot - so flattering. ✌♡

Take a selfie while holding a ruler next to your face; take it straight-on, get a perfect forward view of your face. Measure it: compare the measure of top of head-to-hairline, hairline-to-brows, brows-to-nose, and nose-to-chin. What do those numbers look like? Ideally, on the perfect face, those numbers are all very similar, but most of us don’t have perfect faces. Now look at your face itself: is it delicate? do you have a rounder, softer face? are you more chiseled with a squarer jaw? Your main goal is to equalize the measures of hairline-to-brows and brows-to-nose. #1 bangs are good for this: you can fake a new hairline wherever the bangs start from. If your forehead is small, try starting the bangs further back on your head. Follow her tips on #1 bangs ☺️ If your lower half of your face is longer than the upper half, try finding a way to add more volume up top to balance it out. Try to keep things proportional: if your TOH-to-hairline is small, try to make that hair area be 1/2 the measure of your forehead (and remember, try to make your forehead and brows-to-nose similar in measure!). Try to equate the volume of your bangs with the volume of your face. Do you have chubby cheeks or prominent cheekbones? If so, try to give your bangs volume by giving them volume and texture. If your features are more delicate, then a wispier bang might suit you better. There are lots of little tips throughout the video. Once you know what features your face has, rewatch and pick out the tips that suit your face. It’s all very overwhelming at first, but once you give yourself a place to start and a goal to work towards, the end result doesn’t seem so far away!
One last look to keep in mind: no bangs! Yes, I realize this is a video specifically about bangs, not hairstyles in general. That being said, I think it's important to bear in mind that you don't need to have bangs to have a styled, chic 'do. I've always struggled with bangs. I have a meaty, roundish face and a prominent nose, so I have yet to find this mythical fringe that balances my face and changes my life, and I have made many hair-cutting mistakes trying to find it! I have since learned that my hair usually looks its best when I let my bangs grow out completely-- basically, let it grow an inch or more past my jawline, part it to the side, and style it more as a short layer than a long side bang. I also have a soft chin, so about two inches past my jaw is where I like to keep it in order to not draw attention to that part of my face and neck. Some of us can't do bangs, which is okay too!
the color of the hair! I can say it for experience, i had red hair whit small bang, ad itwas relly good, but now i have black hair, and it changed a lot, now long bangs look even better and the short one is terrible (sorry for the grammar, i'm italian and i'm learning english)
Similar to me! I had bright copper hair with blunt but very rounded bangs..looked kinda vintage and looked lovely. Then I changed my color and length and the bangs don't fit anymore
did she not say that bangs up to just the neck area would flatter your face shape? Bob hair can suit you depending on the distance between each area of your face, how you style it, whether its curled, whether there's volume, colour
i know the feeling so well to wish your face shape and features were different, but everyone is different and has their own unique and interesting things about the way they look. imo, it's about finding the right "accessories" to balance the features you feel are too prominent and highlight the features that you like. unfortunately, it's a process, unless maybe you have a personal stylist or something. but as you all know, most of us can't afford that lmao i'm not 100% happy with my look, but i definitely feel like i look myself/how i feel on the inside most of the time. but i figured out different parts of my look and personal style over the years through trial and error. i've worn many unflattering outfits and sported countless terrible haircuts & hairstyles. luckily nowadays it's easier to find advice and references online for people who have similar facial features and body types as you and try out bits and pieces of their looks. you can choose to do some researching/testing out different looks if you want to or stick with something more familiar and change your look slightly to test out the change. maybe try out shoulder-length cuts first? i'm sure there must be a certain type of bob cut and bangs look that will work for you. there are sooooo many different types. i cut my hair into a blunt jawbone-length bob with no layers and blunt, thick, straight across eyebrow-length bangs in high school and it made me look like i was wearing a wig and sucked for a while. at the same time, i had light yellowy (very brassy) dyed blonde hair that made my rosy face look like a tomato. i did not think a blonde bob would ever suit me. buuuut now, AT LAST at 25 i have a bob around the same length, with a bunch of choppy layers (long and short) and rounded bangs that are shorter than my eyebrows and kinda wispy, and my hair is an ashy blonde and i think it flatters my round, cheeky, rosy face very well. it definitely takes some research and trial and error (unfortunately) but i think it's very possible to find the look (or several looks) that feel right for you and flatter features you may not like at the moment.
I used to have a bony what was classed as delicate face but I’ve always felt My nose was big. These days it’s fatter. I think both can she well it just depends
Well, she explained it in the video. Is your hair voluminous or fine? Do you have a short face or a long, oval face? Do you have a big forehead (are your eyebrows in the middle of your head) or a small to medium forehead? Because bangs that cover most to all of the forehead (her 1st and 2nd bang examples) cuts off the face so if you want those type of bangs you need a long face or to add volume to your hair if your face is short. If your face is long, you want thick bangs or Bridgitte Bardot bangs. If your face is small, circular, or square, you want a side bang or really short bangs.
Roxyhun Well first, software developers aren’t usually the ones with the ideas for apps or programs like that, they’re hired to just write the code. You don’t have to know programming to develop an app, you just need an idea and and it’s also helpful if you have the level of understanding that she has about the topic. Most of the apps we use were not the programmer’s idea, they were someone else’s, entrepreneurs usually. Also, she’s not just a RUclipsr, she is also a musician and there is no rule that says RUclipsrs and musicians can’t know programming anyway.
honestly that hair area/forehead proportion is soooo important, once you're aware of that, u can manipulate any style you want to suit the look you wanna achieve 👍👍👍👍
Wait- how do they look? (Thinking of getting them, I'm fine if it looks bad since it's holidays and my family knows I'm an idiot- but the idea of school starting soon is scaring me because everyone feels the need to comment on every single little thing-) ^^"
Don't worry about what other people say or think about it. If you love it. Love it. Do it for yourself. I always have and never regret it. It will grow out anyways
You're the only person ever to seem like you actually did a research and analysis instead of just repeating those rules. I would also be constantly frustrated when looking for tips because of all the exceptions I'd see, and would ask myself "what is that makes this an exception?" Your videos are so insightful. Awesome work here, xx
The more I look at her shirt, it looks like someone took those pattern scissors and cut her up Trippy dude I have curly hair and I want bangs but idk how to tame my curls
"To say that this person would look good with that, and this person would not look good with that... it's same as to say, 'Yesterday I saw you in a dress! You should wear clothes. 'Cause clothes look good on you.' " **raises eyebrows** Aly I love you
I'm only 6min in but I totally agree. This is what I've always thought too! The most important is how big your face looks so whatever makes your facial surface area look smaller is best, not whether the type of bangs suits your face shape. Another thing I think is important is also the ends of the hair. I find that since my face is juicy/round, I like to have more volume at the bottom. For example, I have the end cut blunt instead of layered (since that makes the ends thinner) or I perm the bottom into waves/curls. That way my face area looks smaller. If you start paying attention and trying out different things on yourself when you're in your teens, you'll eventually get the hang of it once you're in your 20's (or at least by 30's) that's why a lot of times I feel people look better and better going into their 30's although we're not as youthful as we used to be.

pink21minute try fake bangs first, either a clip in or a bun where you bring the ‘tail’ forward and have a fake bangs if you know what I mean, before you cut real bangs in. Also be warned, they do take more upkeep, regular trimming is essential. I love bangs on myself, although we call it a fringe here in the uk.
This was a revelation for me, thank you! I've only ever had short wispy bangs on my short hairline so my lower face looked out of proportion huge. Now I know not only which type to get, but how to explain to the cutter the nature of the hairline and me needing to have more hair pulled forward from father back to engage balance. Your videos are some of the best on RUclips.
this is so helpful. like, actually helpful. i started crying when you said that we have to acknowledge our beautiful bone structure and then build on that, so, finding ways to flatter more our own features and finding out what works for each specific case; because we're taught by the mainstream media and society that there should be these patterns that people have to fit into and you have to do this and that in order to become beautiful and thats just not true. i spend so much time of my day wishing i'd look like other girls and forget that i also own a very unique kind of beauty that i should learn how to work on, not to change it, but enhance it. accept it. and i just realized this watching your video, so thank you very much.
Randomly stumbled upon this video while looking for haircolor inspiration. Back in cosmetology school I could not grasp the concept of face shapes but this really enlightened me a lot. Thank you and great job!
I think the contrast between the colors of the hair and skin also impact the overall look. For example dark hair will contrast more on a lighter skin tone, so wispy bangs will look softer. If the hair and skin have the same color, the bangs will not contrast so much, so you can have “thicker” bangs (with more hair) and it won’t change so much the face shape
I mean I thought I understood the whole video but still am not sure of what bangs would fit me :( what would be the best for a round, sophiscated face type with a small hair area?
I don't know if she mentioned this, but when people cut bangs they can take different amounts of hair from different parts of your head. So for example if you take more hair farther into your head to create the bang, it can create the illusion that your face is longer or more balanced, that you have a longer hair area.
I sooo loved this video! I'd had to wear glasses almost all my life, until a few months ago. I was so excited because it meant that I could finally have what we call in Australia, a fringe, but of course you called it bangs. I'm 67 now and it's amazing just how much more youthful it is to finally have my whispy bangs! I'm also loving all the comments that I'm receiving from people who think I'm 10 to 15 years younger than I actually am! You are spot on when you describe the face into thirds and the amount of hair! I didn't know why I so wanted whispy bangs, because when I wore glasses I wore side swept bangs. I can now have either side swept or whispy because it depends on whether I give my whispy bangs a little bit of a curl to make them a little shorter, or I can just have side swept bangs by leaving them straighter. I don't have a large face nor do I have sharp features, but I have a nice top part of hair that seems to be about a quarter of my whole head ... So, my face is evenly balanced into thirds, and is especially softened with the whispy bangs ... but I always wear my hair behind my ears. I'm so pleased to have seen your video with the brilliant way in which you explained what works and why! I'm going to forward this to my hairdresser because I just know how much she will appreciate it and admire your explanation of what works and why. She is an amazing hairdresser anyway and I have to book in six weeks ahead to get in to see her, and this isn't a big city, but a lovely tourist place so it's quite a compliment to her talent to be booked up so far ahead. I think she seems to have the natural intuition when it comes to styling hair, but it will be great to share this with her as she will truly appreciate it! It's great to find a style that suits one, but it's even nicer to understand why it works, so again, I thank you so very much for your lovely manner and as usual, your perfect insight into what can enhance any woman's beauty to its fullest extent.
I have had all kinds of bangs. I can afford to be bold cause my hair grows really fast. Ps: you look like a grunge star from the 90s with that hair. (Y)
You seem like such a sweet person and whether you know it or not, you're doing loads for the body positivity, self acceptance movement that is sweeping the nation!!! You speak in such a non judgmental way and it's always so refreshing. I wish I had voices like yours when I was growing up but I'm happy to have it now as an adult too
Koreans made 2 more bangs, the see through bang (the one I've used all my life since i have thin hair but they go extreme) and the baby hair bang which i found fascinating. Take a look at them.
measuring the hair area = MIND BLOWN. my hair area is small, my forehead is just slightly small, and my eyebrows are slightly higher than halfway, my nose is slightly prominent, so my whole face is large, visually, even though I have a small face. no wonder I love volume on top so much. Thanks to this video, I never have to contemplate cutting bangs again! What a relief!!
I appreciate this approach. I have an oval face and most advice is “You’re so lucky, everything suits you!” Which is 100% not true, I know from experience lol.
Yess this so much! I'd love to try out a bang but my hair is straight as can be and I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time styling it, so i'm kinda stick with the same bob
Yes! Me too. The whole face shape approach doesn't make sense. I get it now. Also, a lot of people told me I couldn't have a pixie because I have full cheeks. I did it, and it was a great cut for me.
You can also call it "that mistake you made when you get engrossed in a TV show, and accidentally cut most of your bangs off..." (maybe that's just me 🙈).

finally found a real informative video about face shape and proportion!! This makes so much sense why all other face shape theories don't really work for me!!
I love your approach to this, no "cut it like this to take attention away from your hideous monster features"... though what I think would confuse people a lot less are some bullet points, and illustrations or photo edits, where everything else would be the same except hair area for example, to really drive home what effect they have. This doesn't help me much though, as I really don't know my face shape.

I love your theory on balancing the proportions of the hair and face. That makes a lot of sense! It's interesting how different cuts can accentuate certain features too. Also, love your make up! Great video 👌

Great, now I want to cut my bangs at 2 am but I don't know which type would suit me best. I have a huge forehead and a bony face but medium hair area 😭
Oh my goodness. I've gone through multiple bang cuts and no bang hairstyles in my life and at 24 I believe I have found my perfect fit. I keep going back to wispy, slightly curled bangs. In your words, they bring out the "juiciness" and make my life easier Lol :) It just takes some experimentation to find what's right for you :) Thank you for another great vid!

i was wondering why this channel has a "join" feature for a paid subscription.... but 10 mins into the vid, I UNDERSTAND WHY. It's SO educational !! 10/10
I watched this video when it came out, since I've had different kinds of bangs throughout the years, but most of the time I had no bangs. Neither having any kind of them or not having any at all seemed to look right on me. I always was really unhappy. Last summer I saw a video which showed how to, kind of cut grown out bangs that frame your face von the side. Since I've had a bad relationship with the only hairdresser my mother would pay for me I decided to cut my hair on my own since age 14. Yeah that framing kind of bangs didn't turn out like planned, so I cut it shorter, shorter, and shorter. I remembered your video so I looked it up again. Now I've had my bangs for over half a year and I couldn't have been happier with how it turned out! I actually have a round face but cut straight bangs and then thinned them out at the bottom. Was very anxious the first day but have gotten many many compliments! I want to thank you very much Aly!
Thank you! I took some photos with my hair slicked back after a shower, and with my hair combed back from my face when dry and fluffy. Then I drew some rectangles on my face photos using a graphics program. Fascinating. I knew that I had a relatively low forehead and relatively big cheekbones/mid-face, but the proportional difference between slick/flat hair and fluffy hair was striking. When my hair was dry and fluffy (I have layers) then the distance from top of hair to eyebrows, eyebrows to top of lips, and top of lips to bottom of chin where much more proportional. I have always looked better with fluffy layers, and it always bothered me that my sister wore her thin hair completely straight and flat (chin-length straight bob) because the lack of hair height seemed to make her large, prominent forehead appear almost misshapen. She started getting layers with bangs a few years ago and the improvement was massive. My mother never wore bangs or layers, but on her it looked beautiful because her hair had a lot of natural loft (big, strong waves) and her face is almost perfectly proportional. with a really lovely hairline. You've given viewers a lot to ponder.

I'm so relieved to see a gorgeous face with fine hair. It makes me feel tons better that fine hair can look so pretty.
To sum it up: Beyoncé rocks every bangs.
Beyoncé could get away with anything, it's just not possible to make her look any less gorgeous
THE FACTS HAVE BEEN SPOKEN
Nahh not the mini bangs
people with basically oval face (like Beyoncé) shape can pull off any type of bangs, haircuts and even eyeglasses
i loved her curly bangs the most❤️
I really appreciate your calm informative tone, you're professional and not making a spectacle of yourself like other youtubers. Makes the video easy to watch. And you make some great points too, thank you!
This just made me more confused over what I should do lol
Me too. 😕
Millions of words but no particular advice. lol

Follow her tips on #1 bangs ☺️
If your lower half of your face is longer than the upper half, try finding a way to add more volume up top to balance it out.
Basically do what you want, see if you like it... nothing like trying ;) and hair will always grow back. :P
Girl you saved my life 😂
the color of the hair! I can say it for experience, i had red hair whit small bang, ad itwas relly good, but now i have black hair, and it changed a lot, now long bangs look even better and the short one is terrible (sorry for the grammar, i'm italian and i'm learning english)
Your grammar is really good, keep learning!
Similar to me! I had bright copper hair with blunt but very rounded bangs..looked kinda vintage and looked lovely. Then I changed my color and length and the bangs don't fit anymore
I wish I had bony delicate face that looks good with bob hair and short bangs, but sadly I don't lol
Be glad, you'll probably age well. Boney faces tend to not age so good.
did she not say that bangs up to just the neck area would flatter your face shape? Bob hair can suit you depending on the distance between each area of your face, how you style it, whether its curled, whether there's volume, colour
same, I have a huge face and nothing looks good on me :c
i know the feeling so well to wish your face shape and features were different, but everyone is different and has their own unique and interesting things about the way they look. imo, it's about finding the right "accessories" to balance the features you feel are too prominent and highlight the features that you like. unfortunately, it's a process, unless maybe you have a personal stylist or something. but as you all know, most of us can't afford that lmao
i'm not 100% happy with my look, but i definitely feel like i look myself/how i feel on the inside most of the time. but i figured out different parts of my look and personal style over the years through trial and error. i've worn many unflattering outfits and sported countless terrible haircuts & hairstyles. luckily nowadays it's easier to find advice and references online for people who have similar facial features and body types as you and try out bits and pieces of their looks.
you can choose to do some researching/testing out different looks if you want to or stick with something more familiar and change your look slightly to test out the change. maybe try out shoulder-length cuts first? i'm sure there must be a certain type of bob cut and bangs look that will work for you. there are sooooo many different types.
i cut my hair into a blunt jawbone-length bob with no layers and blunt, thick, straight across eyebrow-length bangs in high school and it made me look like i was wearing a wig and sucked for a while. at the same time, i had light yellowy (very brassy) dyed blonde hair that made my rosy face look like a tomato. i did not think a blonde bob would ever suit me.
buuuut now, AT LAST at 25 i have a bob around the same length, with a bunch of choppy layers (long and short) and rounded bangs that are shorter than my eyebrows and kinda wispy, and my hair is an ashy blonde and i think it flatters my round, cheeky, rosy face very well. it definitely takes some research and trial and error (unfortunately) but i think it's very possible to find the look (or several looks) that feel right for you and flatter features you may not like at the moment.
I used to have a bony what was classed as delicate face but I’ve always felt
My nose was big.
These days it’s fatter. I think both can she well it just depends
I want Aly Art to tell me my face, forehead, eye, nose, lip, and face shape
I want to send her my picture so she tell me what bangs. It's too much science for me!
Paloma Garduño and body type.
I'm impressed by the depth of your analysis on this topic. Wow. You are impressive. Very clear.
Seriously all her videos! She takes it further than most YT, freaking insane, but much appreciated.
Wow you’re kinda a genius for taking notice to such minor details
who else is here because they want to reinvent themselves 😂
💯🙏🏻
i got bangs last year, grew them out so now im like 'ah shit, here we go again'
Did you get bangs? 😂
Meee. I cut my hair short. But I still think I lack something so I am going to try out bangs 😆😆😆
You got me
Now I know what to say if someone asks me what my face shape is: Juicy.
Absolutely adored your video. It's so well made and easy to follow!
When the video ended I immediately went to cut my bangs, soo happy with the results, thanks!
Wow nice 👏, what'd you pick??
Ahh god if only i was that confident!
I really struggle to figure out bangs for my face. You should develop an app that lets people measure and compare proportions and try different bangs!
Yessss such a good idea! Do it Aly, bring in those papers 💰💰
You can buy clip-on bangs to try out different looks!
bruh. she is a youtuber. why the hell would she know how to programm an app? its like asking a doctor to build a plane. literally no correlation
This is not a great video to watch 3 in the morning
Edit: i got bangs
GiHVaiTeArrasar ; do they look good ?
Wait- how do they look? (Thinking of getting them, I'm fine if it looks bad since it's holidays and my family knows I'm an idiot- but the idea of school starting soon is scaring me because everyone feels the need to comment on every single little thing-) ^^"
Don't worry about what other people say or think about it. If you love it. Love it. Do it for yourself. I always have and never regret it. It will grow out anyways
1:32 am and here I am..
You're the only person ever to seem like you actually did a research and analysis instead of just repeating those rules. I would also be constantly frustrated when looking for tips because of all the exceptions I'd see, and would ask myself "what is that makes this an exception?" Your videos are so insightful. Awesome work here, xx
The more I look at her shirt, it looks like someone took those pattern scissors and cut her up
Trippy dude
I have curly hair and I want bangs but idk how to tame my curls
now that's all I see
Visit r/curlyhair
Now I can't unsee it

I just smoked too XD
"To say that this person would look good with that, and this person would not look good with that... it's same as to say, 'Yesterday I saw you in a dress! You should wear clothes. 'Cause clothes look good on you.' " **raises eyebrows** Aly I love you

Aly:
*juicy, fleshy*
Exactly! Awesome
who taught her that
I know! I thought I had a “fat face” but it sound so much better to say it’s just “juicy”.... 😂
Love how she speaks
😂
I'm only 6min in but I totally agree. This is what I've always thought too! The most important is how big your face looks so whatever makes your facial surface area look smaller is best, not whether the type of bangs suits your face shape. Another thing I think is important is also the ends of the hair. I find that since my face is juicy/round, I like to have more volume at the bottom. For example, I have the end cut blunt instead of layered (since that makes the ends thinner) or I perm the bottom into waves/curls. That way my face area looks smaller. If you start paying attention and trying out different things on yourself when you're in your teens, you'll eventually get the hang of it once you're in your 20's (or at least by 30's) that's why a lot of times I feel people look better and better going into their 30's although we're not as youthful as we used to be.

how would she open a salon worldwide? do you expect her to travel to every country to give advice? very unrealistic suggestion
@@SheConspiracyPlotter a salon lign ... thanks for your wise comment

Been thinking this for yearssss
Yes!!!!! I love this idea
Great idea! I’m sure it would be super popular 👍
I listen to her because of her calm voice I've been using it as ASMR sounds for months
I second that!!!
Thank u Aly!! I've been debating whether to get bangs or not for a couple of months now and I know this video will definitely help my dilemma
Love x x x
pink21minute try fake bangs first, either a clip in or a bun where you bring the ‘tail’ forward and have a fake bangs if you know what I mean, before you cut real bangs in.
Can you make a video about hairstyles and bangs but include the nose shape form the front and from the side?
I really love your videos
if love this channel astronomically but if you need that video urgently Brittany grey talks about that in her video about banks :)
When you have big forehead and need bangs but at the same time sensitive skin which can't tolerate bangs..
Sad life😭
Same heeeere!
Army!!!
Maybe wrap something underneath your bangs and cover the wrapping with the rest of your hair
Curl the bangs, so they aren’t touching your face as much
When you’re home you can just clip them to the side of your face.
O - M - G. Everything you need to know, every question you need to ask about bangs. Outstanding. What a great job.
I just watched an almost 20 minute video about bangs, alright
So are you gonna do it?
@@gwenmolnar7245 idk about them but oh BOy Am I GoiNg To do it
You’re awesome! Thank you for including curly bangs as well!
This is some geometry. I'll just wing it and then regret 😂
what about glasses and bangs? Nobody ever talks about that...
Your presentations are just outstanding. Thank you for this information.
I mean I thought I understood the whole video but still am not sure of what bangs would fit me :(
what would be the best for a round, sophiscated face type with a small hair area?
I don't know if she mentioned this, but when people cut bangs they can take different amounts of hair from different parts of your head. So for example if you take more hair farther into your head to create the bang, it can create the illusion that your face is longer or more balanced, that you have a longer hair area.
Oml I was just browsing on RUclips; I didn’t expect this gift 👏
Hugs x x x
Same here!!!!
I feel like a conversation with her would be calming af. Her voice is like lavendar
I have had all kinds of bangs. I can afford to be bold cause my hair grows really fast.
Ps: you look like a grunge star from the 90s with that hair. (Y)
Just taking the music she's made into account(which is impressive, wow. She has pipes!!!), I think she'll really love this comment. I agree!!
KaibaCorp i wish more people talked about the see-through bang
I have a round face and the korean bangs suit me sooooo well
measuring the hair area = MIND BLOWN. my hair area is small, my forehead is just slightly small, and my eyebrows are slightly higher than halfway, my nose is slightly prominent, so my whole face is large, visually, even though I have a small face. no wonder I love volume on top so much. Thanks to this video, I never have to contemplate cutting bangs again! What a relief!!
You should make a video where people who want bangs send in pictures and you can tell them which ones will suit them x
Emily Pinkerton People always said the same to me, but it's not true at alll! I couldn't pull off baby bangs to save my life 😂 😂
I have an oval face but my nose is also huge so not everything suits me
Yeah, I just look awful with straight across bangs even though I tried to convince myself I looked good. I look so much better with sideswept bangs
Yes! Me too. The whole face shape approach doesn't make sense. I get it now. Also, a lot of people told me I couldn't have a pixie because I have full cheeks. I did it, and it was a great cut for me.
Your voice is like honey! So soothing!
I cut my bangs and I look like I came out of the 1900s

I love how you call baby bangs “that thing” 😂
You can also call it "that mistake you made when you get engrossed in a TV show, and accidentally cut most of your bangs off..." (maybe that's just me 🙈).

finally found a real informative video about face shape and proportion!! This makes so much sense why all other face shape theories don't really work for me!!
this is the best bangs video i ever watched thank you
i was just wondering how can wearing glasses affect the type of bang
Timing of this video is perfect! I'm going to the hairdressers in a couple of hours to get bangs.
Just yesterday I was thinking you should make a video about bangs! Your timing is perfect
Hugs x x x x
I love your approach to this, no "cut it like this to take attention away from your hideous monster features"... though what I think would confuse people a lot less are some bullet points, and illustrations or photo edits, where everything else would be the same except hair area for example, to really drive home what effect they have.
This doesn't help me much though, as I really don't know my face shape.
I can relate only because I have body dysmorphia and even when I'm looking at myself I dont see what i actually look like
i have really round and small face but i gave myself frange and now i cant live without it anymore, it suits me sooooo much, so dont be scared guys just do it

Also the like to dislike ratio is beautiful .
I love your theory on balancing the proportions of the hair and face. That makes a lot of sense! It's interesting how different cuts can accentuate certain features too. Also, love your make up! Great video 👌
Can you make a video??"what is your profile" how hairstyle need to be?? I have sloping chin and round face what do you think ??? Is long side bangs for me???
Great, now I want to cut my bangs at 2 am but I don't know which type would suit me best. I have a huge forehead and a bony face but medium hair area 😭
"now I want to cut my bangs at 2 am" bitch, me too.

Round faces look amazing with bangs though? Especially when they’re see-through/thin/wispy bangs
it's not face shape she's taking about more so it's structure and hair space on the head overall weight

I used to wear a reverse triangle bang. It was a popular 80's trend. Thick, straight, across the brow, but went up to the top of my head in a pretty triangle. Can't rock it anymore due to hair thinning.
Your new ashy/cool tone hair is so pretty and flattering on u! Thank u for talking about the bangs. I look forward to hearing about how to balayage the bangs, maybe soon? :)
Hugs!
Finally! This is the most detailed and correct explanation! So wonderful. Thank you Alyona 💖
Thank yoU!!!
You explain things so well - with pictures! You're the best "bangs" instructor I've found on you tube! (I love your accent and your detailed explanations. You speak of women's features in an encouraging way. Thank you.)

You are great at explaining this! The RUclips algorithm really nailed the recommendation this time. You got a new subscriber!

i was wondering why this channel has a "join" feature for a paid subscription.... but 10 mins into the vid, I UNDERSTAND WHY.
