I've lived near and driven past this place so many times over the years. Never realised it'd been so abandoned and what lay inside; like a treasure trove. Sadly it was burned down during this past week (time of posting comment 11th July 2021). I believe much of the contents and antiques had been removed/stolen/vandalised. The house belonged to a gentleman, surname Prall who was a local headmaster. He'd grown up there with his parents. When they passed away he stayed there periodically whilst living and working away. All the belongings you can see were Mr Prall's and his parents. It was such a beautiful, imposing building you could see as you drove up the hill towards it. Breaks my heart that it is now gone due to the fire (suspicious circumstances I would guess, seeing as no one lived there...) So glad you have this video to preserve it and the memories within it for all time.
That's a shame but the fire probably deliberate to get rid of the property some developer will buy it for the land. Family should have dealt with it far earlier when it could have been sold.
You should let him know this documentary exists it might help them (collect) recover some of their losses. The fire must have been devastating . An older person might not know this type of trespassing exists, I’ve read that other explores have documented it in live able condition. Plz do-the leg work it’s important.
i saw this house on Abandoned world explorer just over a year ago and I'm devastated at the state of it now, how sad. the table with the john smiths on it had two urns in boxes with ashes in. place was untouched, saddens me that people feel the need to trash places. Someones life amounted to this.
You make the best out of a bad situation. So yeah the house was totally trashed, but you focus on what's interesting and move along, keeping the explore on what the house is about. It must have been grand in it's time. The basement certainly was interesting! You're fun to watch Adam, you've got a great attitude!
I would love to see that house back in the day. I picture myself sitting in a chair by the beautiful arched window reading and day dreaming. I would hate to have to heat that place tho. 😊
The original guy who's house this was died in 1967. He was a lieutenant colonel & surgeon in the UK army & in India (bombay) and served in both wars. His wife died in 1970 and their daughter (who had no children) in 1982. She did have a brother mentioned who was adopted but it looks like he never married or had children. If no relatives are traced this house is going to the crown.
It would make a good episode of Heir Hunters. Would be really interesting after seeing this and the previous video. I see someone has nabbed the piano, chest of drawers and the picture above it and the human ashes have gone too!
A great find,Adam is such a great explorer and is respectful for the people who onced lived in the house.Such a shame some vandals threw things in the floor. Thanks for the video from Morrow Ga.
Adam you are so my favourite explorer! I love the way you are so respectful with everything and put things back exactly how you find them ( not all explorers do) and I absolutely love your sense of humor it's just like mine! Love watching all your videos! Please don't stop x x x
Such a crying shame that this once beautiful family home has been trashed. I imagine the owners will be so very upset to see all there treasured possessions and memories thrown around and left all over the floors. It must have been a spectacular place at one time and could be once again if you had a few bob! Thank you for sharing. 😁
Sadly that is the way it is for most people. My grandma had sentimental cards and things her children made when they were children all protected and treasured by her but when she died from cancer all her things got raked in a trash bag and tossed in the garbage. Sad but true some day it will happen to us all are belongings will be given away or tossed in the garbage.
I agree, I have a cabinet filled with greeting cards I received in the last 50 years and since my family members have passed, I like to read them to lift my spirits and the cards bring a smile to my face. I saved every letter my sister ever sent, and I'm glad I did she died at 53 from kidney cancer.
I love your videos. I also agree with you that no one should act like animals and trash the place. I wish good people like you and I could clean these place and take things and fix them and give to the needy or sell them and give to the poor.
Was sooo beautiful in its day!!! Sad that the wardrobes couldn’t be saved 😔 Breaks my heart that people vandalized this property 😔 Loved this place! Would love to investigate for antiques! Loved items in the basement! Obviously a handicapped person lived in the cottage! Thank you for sharing this wonderful property! I loved it ❤️
Whatever is the matter with some people who just seem to take the greatest pleasure in smashing, breaking, generally trashing somebody else’s home! Whether they live in it or not…you don’t need to trash these places…OR LOOT! Adam I have the greatest respect for you as an explorer….you take nothing, and leave nothing except your foot prints/energy essence. And record so much on film for posterity. My late grandfather used to come and stay with us during the day, going home to his cottage every night after my gran died . Taken home one night my dad helping him in found furniture kicked over, urination, and all his meds tipped and scattered to name a few things. It broke his heart and of course we couldn’t let him stay there any longer . So I wish younger people could be better educated to know the trauma this can have on family. Those things had all been treasured possessions, loved and cared for, and then something happened so they couldn’t live there any longer, DOESNT give permission for hell hounds to smash in and cause such damage! I read that since you filmed all this, possibly the hell hounds returned and committed arson…so now all those things and memories have gone up in smoke. How very, very sad. That could have been returned into a lovely family home again, but no more. I’ve noticed the same happening in other places you have visited Adam- not this bad, but it’s as if out of boredom youngsters just HAVE this urge to smash in. They need more to do if this is how they get their jollies. Very sad, but thanks for this record Adam…glad you got out safe, and VERY glad you were not alone here…if you had fallen down those stairs into the cellar! Oh my days! 😵 stay well and safe! Xxxx

I’ve seen this one before in a previous explore when it had all the thing inside , someone’s ashes where left on the table . I think the local farmer boarded it up to stop people going inside, go and have look 👍👍it was an amazing place ,check out the bearded explorer
What a beautiful big home this use to be, and with the extended house on the side, shame it was trashed though, but you found some really interesting items, love the shape of the windows and those big door frames, really old fashioned light switches, and how much would that wooden and tiled flooring cost to have that today, wow really good find Adam, thank you
Hopefully some of the family who are still alive will see this video and shed some light on the history behind this house 🏡 etc be interesting to know the story in connection with it
I just read a couple of comments from 2yrs ago that gave some interesting history on this home 🏡 Hopefully you can find it, if your so inclined to read them, hopefully they're at the top.
Love the intro music to this video. You do such an amazing job of exploring these homes. Why family members don’t want any of their history is still a mystery to me. Breaks my heart.

This is sad how people went in . And trashed this house . Would they like some one . To do their families home . like this . No respect for others property . Thanks for sharing this video . Stay safe and have a good night .
I seen a video of this house from 2 years ago so much furniture and pictures are gone. People have completely trashed the house in the year in between its a crying shame. The other video showed how beautiful it was this one shows how cruel people can be.
Hi Adam, I was there in July last year & there was a Steinway grand piano in that first floor living room, with huge mirrors on the wall, gone downhill a lot since, gentleman only died in May 2019, aged 77 & not in this house. Happy new year guys!
Hey mate, oh really. Looks like it's changed alot in the last year its a shame. I knew people had already done this one but wanted to see it for myself. Cheers for watching
@@AdamMark Still it was great to see your take on it, plus you explored that basement & the outhouse, which was closed on my visit, gutted I missed that lovely old cellar. loving all your old explores, keep up the good work & stay safe!
Great find Adam, just wish people would be more respectful instead of trashing the place, so glad you have more respect, people don't realise that at one time that house was someone's pride and joy..
@@scottde-walden2760 agreed. I lived in Sutton valence until recently and all the years I lived down the road no one went near it until the first vid over a year ago was posted, shortly after the gates were broken, as of the weekend it’s now a pile of bricks ruined by fire.
Hi Adam, nice take on the old place, just such a shame that so much stuff has been take. The old TVs, radios, grand piano, leopard skin, and two people's ashes appear to be gone. So sad.
Another great video you guys do a great job bringing it all together beautiful place and furniture .I love seeing the pictures and and beautiful memories of the families that use to live there I agree with you it makes me mad too when people trash the places instead of respecting it Thank You for sharing
I will just have the "Granny!" Flat! It’s as big as my place! When will people learn to "Look!" and not touch? Excellent camera work and highly informative and a good venture!
Once when I visited Carlisle in the UK, I was taken to a shop wherein was a section of " free Stuff". I expect now that it was taken from abandoned buildings. It was later destroyed in the Carlisle floods, I heard.
Absolutely stunning video and such a beautiful piece of music. I love the respect you have for the memories and ghosts of these lost in time buildings. Such sadness but such joy to see that a family once made this house a home. I want to give up my job and do what you do such respect.
Whenever I watch your videos I like to play a little game called "Spot The Chamber Pot". There's always one there. Often on the fireplace mantle, which is odd. Not two feet into this house and I spotted the first one on the floor. The second one was in the armchair by the fireplace (why always the fireplace?) Fun times.
Nice explore. I dont understand people who feel the need to trash places. As an explorer myself it also annoys the hell out of me. Congrats on your subscribers. Stay safe ❤
It's bizarre for me as I've passed that house at least once a week for most of my adult life, and wondered who lived there, so it was interesting to see the first video that was uploaded by the abandoned explorer, with the untouched spooky feel to the place with the cremated remains of the owners in diffferent rooms, where as now it's a complete wreck and been looted, it's so sad, and it really needs to be protected somehow to stop it getting any further vandalized than it is already. It looks like people have tried to board the doors windows etc, Someone must be trying to look after it surely?
i agree with you.. why do these kids have to go in and break windows and furniture with glass in it. tear up string about all their belongs , really it not the kids fault its the parents they are the people who are to teach and mold their children into teenagers to adults with respect for other people and their belongings, and that also goes for the family of the people i love what you guys do we get to see the beauty of these abandon houses. thank you..
When you said Sleepy Hollow my first thought was the Johnny Depp film the. HEADLESS HORSEMAN which was in a place called sleepy hollow. Sad that this house was deserted and left to rot plus all the contents inside. Interesting explore Adam.
That house is looking worse every time it is explored,it is quite trashed now compared to a couple of years ago when it was in quite decent condition and it had the rug in the living room which is on earlier videos, now possibly stolen or removed for safe keeping. There is still power on as recent explores went in and the radio was playing. It looks like it is visited frequently as it looks different every time it is filmed. Thanks for uploading, happy new year.
was a real nice explore as always on your channel, if look past the mess i bet them bedrooms were beautiful in the day all them nice beds made up and lovely old wardrobes polished ,and the large ceilings and arch windows in all rooms and books on shelfs ,lovely watch thanks adam
If you go to a RUclips channel called the Bearded Explorer he has a video of what this place used to look like before it was looted and thrashed. It was amazing each room was full of expensive antiques there was even arns of human ashes left in there.
Well, I'll tell you the truth Adam, and you know this I'm sure, seems like some people just don't respect other people's properties. They take their frustrations out, then they just trash up everything! let's face it! trash is what trash does. Not to mention that some people are taking items out of these old, abandoned homes that don't belong to them, it must be bad up bring in' I guess. I do really enjoy hanging out with you during the tours of these old, abandoned homes and buildings, I can't imagine anything cooler, these old homes and buildings are our history in progress. You are a class act and I dig your channel. KUDOS, keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!!! G t E.
How absolutely sad. There is a video of this lovely home just ONE YEAR EARLIER, and it was absolutely untouched, with everything in its place. Since then, it has been decimated. I'm sorry. I can't even watch any further.
Sadly Ive just looked at the Bearded Explorers explore of this place a year ago.So much of it has been trashed or taken in the space of a year.Very sad,but thanks for the update.x
Lovely home at one time. How many bedrooms? I’d imagine at one time the road wasn’t so busy? Wow! Glass Milk of Magnesia bottles! Old! The ACTUAL Ichabod Crane ( from Sleepy Hollow ) is buried on Staten Island, NYC, USA. He was an actual teacher.
You are so funny at times you make me laugh the comment you came out with in the basement when you came across the old tiered benches { maybe he was putting on a show } i loved it.....i recently found your channel and i am fascinated it's better than anything on the television.
Just watching this and commenting made at 19:39. I hope someone tried to look up that ladder in the bedroom with the twin beds. And twice I saw how the bathrooms connected to the next bedroom, and I just wonder why you would get so close and let us see, then throw off our mental mapping of the home to take the journey along with you. You guys are amazing and I honestly don’t care to watch videos like this from other channels because they seem more set up and overdramatic now. Keep your morale and shine on! Sorry I criticized y’all, but I just love to help whichever way I can. Love and peace 💙
Maybe it’s just me, because I would try and get up in there and see what’s going on. I saw head and shoulders on the tub too… so there are obviously squatters there regularly. But gain all the knowledge while you can before it’s completely consumed. History is so important. I love your channel and I love catching up the past few days since I subscribed. You seem genuinely interested and honest compared to what I’ve tried to follow in the past. Thanks for your authenticity.
Dave and his friend explored this not too long ago. Someone has come in and taken a lot of the furniture, antiques, beds, wardrobes, big empty space in the parlor was where a Steinway grand piano was, and some one came it got it. Not sure if it was family? Thieves? I mean wow it doesn't look like what it use to. :O
@@the_fearless_explorer1213 it was thieves they smashed the side gates in and stole everything. There used to be 3 arns of ashes in there too even they got stolen they went before the furniture so it was different people who stole them. In the beinging the place was full of expensive antiques in every single room but bit by bit thing's were being stolen. The owner only passed away in May 2019 and by August that same year people were in there taking stuff.
@@sugarsundae3400 It's shocking to see the state of it now. I live locally and have driven past this place many a time, and noticed that were signs up, so I assumed the worst. How can you be sure of the thing about the van turning up, are you local too? I have seen stuff for sale on ebay saying it's from the Estate, so I think it would be silly to do that if it was stolen? Or are the unknowingly selling stolen goods?
What an interesting place.Such a shame ppl go in and trash things.I bet it was once amazing.Im now going to look to see what it looked like when other explorers have been there.
Woah ... the book 'Five Run Away Together' was the 3rd book of the Famous Five series by British author Enid Blyton. I read these books as a child ... in German way back when ... good times ... thanks for the walk down memory lane! 👍
Hi from California, USA. I had to tell you how impressed I actually am with people in the UK. Even though they do thrash the places looking for valuables as they do here in the US as to honestly is expected all over they dont break everything or spray paint everything as they do here. I have so been enjoying your videos of these old abandoned homes, I dont have to see pictures of nasty things painted on the walls as you walk through and windows and other breakable are for the most left in tact. And FYI take Lisa more, she finds interesting little items that I find intriguing. Thanks for your awesome work!

Great video guys. I noticed when you were both in the cellar, at one point you had the camera on Ste, he then suddenly looked up a bit startled and the camera turned to the door, through which a fast ball of light flew through at high speed. Could possibly have been an orb? Look back at the video, it's a brilliant catch on film. I Love your channel.
Hey Adam at 28:58 I heard that sound in the cellar like you and Steve did .. it sounded like a whine. Those trash that just trash everything in these places will get Karma and its a shame that we wont be there to see it come right back at them ... Adam you are like me as I cant stand people who are disrespectful. It is a crying shame to see what they have done to these properties. Once they were lived in and loved and now just getting trashed and decayed. Great explore Adam I always look forward to the next one on Sunday x
Adam, I'm a bit late to the party, I saw this house the other day. It was. Abandon world explored. filmed a year before you did it. It was a lot tidier then. Also there was urns with ashes in then. Go have a look.
This was and still could be a beautiful home if someone had the money and prepared to do the work hate the destruction people have done there is heaps of good sized rooms nice windows and doors and plenty of storage space a lot of good furniture still there too hope something is saved good explore

I seen a video of this house from 2 years ago so much furniture and pictures are gone. People have completely trashed the house in the year in between its a crying shame. The other video showed how beautiful it was this one shows how cruel people can be.
Yeah I love the arched window beautiful views ❤️ and really long bannister
It was done by Abandoned World Explorer a year ago. It looks so different back then, before it was needlessly trashed. Another brilliant explore Adam.
Such a beautiful house, how are you Heather?
Always makes me a lil sad to see all the old family photos left behind. I love finding old photos of my family
This would have been a fantastic home in it's day. Pointless trashing - Just why?🥺 Unusual to have a few en suites!
Love ur videos you are so respectful ❤️
That greenhouse conservatory arpund the house is gorgeous what a dream
I will just have the "Granny!" Flat! It’s as big as my place! When will people learn to "Look!" and not touch? Excellent camera work and highly informative and a good venture!
Sadly there appears to be to many people who simply can't look without touching or damaging things, they would not like it done to them 😡
I'm crying, wish I could tidy it and save all of it. So upset.
Great video Adam, sad that it is so badly vandalised, it was someone's life! As always, very respectfully explored by yourself, interesting. 💖
24/May/2023 Thanks for keeping going. This was such a mess I doubt I could have crawled through all that mess.
So sad to think people think it’s necessary to trash these beautiful old homes.
I enjoy your videos. They are like an archeological dig. So sad to see all the beautiful furniture and family photos left behind.
Whole thing has been burnt to the ground and all of the contents destroyed
Hi Adam thanks for the vids back in time brings back so man memories and thanks for being respectful xxx
Wow real creepy vibes thanks for journey 👻👻👻👻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hi Catherine, how are you doing?
Whenever I watch your videos I like to play a little game called "Spot The Chamber Pot". There's always one there. Often on the fireplace mantle, which is odd. Not two feet into this house and I spotted the first one on the floor. The second one was in the armchair by the fireplace (why always the fireplace?) Fun times.
Very sad to see the condition this home is since the last video I saw of it. This should be a lesson to us all to plan for what happens after we die .
It looks like people have tried to board the doors windows etc, Someone must be trying to look after it surely?
i agree with you.. why do these kids have to go in and break windows and furniture with glass in it. tear up string about all their belongs , really it not the kids fault its the parents they are the people who are to teach and mold their children into teenagers to adults with respect for other people and their belongings, and that also goes for the family of the people i love what you guys do we get to see the beauty of these abandon houses. thank you..
Absolutely stunning. What a shame
Hi Adam and mark yes 👍 it’s terrible what people do to those once beautiful house 🏠 it must of been manifecent at one ☝️ time 🇬🇧❤️👍🏠David
What a great place it was .So sad vandals found it.Lovely,it could be saved ,it would be costly.❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸
Brilliant thank you Adam x
Was that a childs chair at the side of the fireplace? How cute x
When you said Sleepy Hollow my first thought was the Johnny Depp film the. HEADLESS HORSEMAN which was in a place called sleepy hollow. Sad that this house was deserted and left to rot plus all the contents inside. Interesting explore Adam.
The wardrobes are beautiful 💜💜💜💜
Would have loved to see pictures of it in the good old days!
If you go to a RUclips channel called the Bearded Explorer he has a video of what this place used to look like before it was looted and thrashed. It was amazing each room was full of expensive antiques there was even arns of human ashes left in there.
@@sugarsundae3400 thank you!
Beeeaauuuuutifulll arched windows. Sorry to hear the place is gone
Love the videos...you are braver than I am although I am obsessed with old abandoned homes. Enjoy listening to accent as well
Well, I'll tell you the truth Adam, and you know this I'm sure, seems like some people just don't respect other people's properties. G t E.
Leaded oak bookcase just lovely.
I notice these things as I was an antique dealer.😁
I loved all the beautiful furniture, so many nice thing that need to be rescued, could live in there more than happily, give it a good clean
That's why I am ruthless when chucking stuff away! People hoard to much stuff. The vandals have no respect when they trash these homes.
Probably full of beautiful memories from the people who once lived there. Probably some sad as well. I like to remember only the good ones myself
So sad how people just trash the house. I don't understand why love your videos Adam can't wait till the next one
Got worse, it was burnt to the ground last year.
Lovely explore even with the trashing heartbreaking 💔 beautiful house should have ghost explored anyway but fantastic vid thankyou 😊 ❤️
Yeah I checked that out when I got back. Was nice place. I think maybe the family took anything of value. Then the looters came. Shame isn't it mate
The owner only passed away in May 2019 and by August that same year people were in there taking stuff.
i agree lot of stuff gone
@@sugarsundae3400 It's shocking to see the state of it now. I live locally and have driven past this place many a time, and noticed that were signs up, so I assumed the worst. How can you be sure of the thing about the van turning up, are you local too? I have seen stuff for sale on ebay saying it's from the Estate, so I think it would be silly to do that if it was stolen? Or are the unknowingly selling stolen goods?
What an interesting place.Such a shame ppl go in and trash things.I bet it was once amazing.Im now going to look to see what it looked like when other explorers have been there.
This is my first time here but I Love your videos UK explorer 🙏🏼🤗🤗 keep it up keep sake always were you go see yah another More videos 😍😘
Woah ... the book 'Five Run Away Together' was the 3rd book of the Famous Five series by British author Enid Blyton. I read these books as a child ... in German way back when ... good times ... thanks for the walk down memory lane! 👍
Such a shame! 😢 It looks to have been a really nice house - and it still could be if someone had the $ to restore it.
Not now. Someone burnt it to the ground
Excellant content as usual. Thanks 😊
Thank you
Amazing amount of stuff in the place
Hi from California, USA. I had to tell you how impressed I actually am with people in the UK. Even though they do thrash the places looking for valuables as they do here in the US as to honestly is expected all over they dont break everything or spray paint everything as they do here. I have so been enjoying your videos of these old abandoned homes, I dont have to see pictures of nasty things painted on the walls as you walk through and windows and other breakable are for the most left in tact. And FYI take Lisa more, she finds interesting little items that I find intriguing. Thanks for your awesome work!
Hi, 6d is 6 pennies, shillings were shortened to 6 s. I only know because I grew up with pounds shillings & pence !! Great explore !!
Its sixpence and two sixpences make a shilling twelve pennies I grew up with it as well.
6d, 6 pence, commonly known as a tanner 😊. One shilling was commonly known as a bob 😊👍🏽.
2 shillings as 2 bob 😊. 2 shillings and 6 pence was known as two and six or half a crown 😊.
Your cinematography and accompanying music are creatively done
I agree with you Gloria, how are you doing today with your family I hope you’re safe from the virus?

Other than Thick wildfire smoke and Scorching hot weather Doing well lol. Take care out there!
I looked at the door because we both heard something. So that's a good catch seeing something because we didn't just heard something on the stairs
@@AdamMark yeah, it's clear as day, a great catch. Have a look when you get a chance, that's brilliant footage. Well done 👍
Real explorers Urban explorers etc do not steal from these properties guys and this included Adam and Steve as they don't take anything ... they say that All they do is leave with their foot steps which is really sweet. Great explore Adam I always look forward to the next one on Sunday x
Love the expression "My days!" . Thinking of using it meself! Those Bright Blue Milk of Magnesia bottles are from the 50s of 60s!!
Adam, I'm a bit late to the party, I saw this house the other day. It was. Abandon world explored. filmed a year before you did it. It was a lot tidier then. Also there was urns with ashes in then. Go have a look.
Love your vids and your commentary always makes me giggle , as in . quote if this place is haunted and nobody told me I'll go mad ..😂☺️😁
Oh God I love the spiderweb window above the door!
This place is such a gem shame it's abandoned
This was and still could be a beautiful home if someone had the money and prepared to do the work hate the destruction people have done there is heaps of good sized rooms nice windows and doors and plenty of storage space a lot of good furniture still there too hope something is saved good explore
Blonde oak wardrobe is fantastic.
