This one reminds me of the sad day when both my parents had died and we had cleared the family home , looking around the house and remembering all the times we had there. The saddest part was that all that experience and knowledge had gone forever , they had lived for 70/80+ years but now nothing . The house was sold and now somebody else lives there but I still find myself passing by every now and again to remember my parents .
Yes,..very 😔 sad...it happens all the time,unfortunately,..we often look back on the happy memories..and the houses we use to live in..hoping that they are looking after them properly,...often they are in our dreams...
This one made me cry, just seeing all those things left. It reminds us how important relationships are, that there is someone to care when we're gone. Thank you for sharing this so we can remember her, even if we're just strangers on the internet. I hope someone honestly takes out all of the things in decent condition and does something good with them.
Sad reality is no one really cares, not unless there's something in it for them. I've seen it countless times ,family at each others throats over a perceived entitlement to "they're " inheritance.
@@whiteonggoy7009 agreed, my in-laws took post it notes with their name's on them and marked everything that they wanted when my father in law was dying in a nursing home.. pretty materialistic and cold hearted, of course that was the most selfish and self serving existence of a family ever. Beautiful and amazing little place. Love seeing old photos. The old sewing machine made me think she was a seamstress. Sad to see the mess from disrespectful people. Great job as usual Adam. Thank you for taking me to places I would never otherwise see. 💖🙏💖🙏💖🙏💖
It was normal to have a sewing machine. My Grandmother did not work, but had the sibling (edit: the sibling of that machine). My Grandfather bought it to her as a present , in 1920, when he was her fiance. He had to carry it with his own hands, on his back, 7 km from the train. I could not carry it from room to room. I learned in it and use it still. I have a modern one too, which my Mother made angry ^^, but there is nothing better than rocking gently back and forth and let your mind wander around while sewing. It makes me happy to be able still go be able to sew on it.
