I love this DUO…I feel like I’m back to my childhood where my grandparents lived next to a Black Church ⛪️ we visited every other week. I was raised by my grandparents and I grew up in a PENTECOSTAL CHURCH where I’ve heard some AMAZING ARTISTS. I’m definitely buying their latest CD. I can’t get enough of their sound. I’m older and this makes me terribly NOSTALGIC. Thanks for sharing your support and positive comments with this Reaction.
Summertime Sunset is a rockin' good time by these two. Great songwriting, and musicianship. Their homeschooling included violin and piano, from age 3-4, played in a touring Bluegrass band with older sister Jessica, as teenagers, Rebecca won a Mandolin playing contest, at a top national Bluegrass festival, at age 14, and wrote Mad as a Hatter, at the same age. W
After Jessica quit to attend college, and get married ( she was lead singer, and violinist), the other two formed Larkin Poe, and neither one wanted to be lead singer, but Rebecca stepped up and took the job. Megan switched from Dobro to Lap Steel, and Rebecca swtched to Guitar after several years. Larkin Poe is their 4th great grandfather's name, a distant cousin of Edgar Allen Poe. I learned all this from interviews with them, which were on YT .They are great live, self produced and recorded, and I saw them live in 2021.
