Saddam Hussein Oh don't get me wrong DS2 is a great game, I play it everyday, but the game doesn't have the atmosphere it was supposed to have when they showed us the demo. Graphics were better and the game darker. It's not a bad game at all, but it's a bad Souls game in my opinion. ^^ (also I was expecting better boss fights and a darker game, much darker). This is (In my opinion) the best Souls music, I have ever heard. The epic music in the first phase where it feels like you can take on an army of dragons, and that sudden realisation at 7:13, when you realise who you're fighting.
I honestly think that out of all the lords of cinder, Gwyn was the strongest, and therefore he basically reincarnated in this fight, and deserved a phase of his own. The first phase is the other lords of cinder, second is Gwyn. The theme fits, most of the moves are basically the same as Gwyn(especially the grab) and it all looks like that to me. I think I cried a bit when Gwyn's theme kicked in though, such a majestic moment

In the japanese translation, his name was the Incarnation of Kings (no exact name for this boss but an embodiment) so I'm not exactly sure if that's our DkS1 player's body and flesh. But the first scene I'm kinda skeptical about because the whole building collapsed or you've went doing space time shit. "Our" character uses the bonfire of possibly the Kiln's bonfire sword reason he healed/kindled himself and fights like Gwyn. That eclipse in the sky must be very important. There are 3 endings in this game, take on, leave, or usurp the fire. First time commenting ever lol

They finally made the Coiled Sword a usable weapon? Fucking finally! I had the idea and used to post it everywhere about them making it a usable weapon, maybe including it in a dlc explaining firekeepers and bonfires to go farther back in their lore but they did even better, they saved it for the last game and it's now apart of the Lord's of Cinders lore. Can't wait to play this game, pissed off so much has been spoiled for me already though. I tried to resist :'( but I couldn't. The videos were calling to me, I had to watch them! Can't wait to get the armor and weapon, so many good cosplays, I only cosplay in dark souls 3

This game its not about the AI.. or Combat moves... its more deeper than this.. its a story.. its a movie that you play through.. the sounds, the ambient, the whole world you are playing its all really interesting and kinda creepy beautifull though! if you know what i mean...
When I was fighting the final boss I kept getting goose bumps from the music in the second phase. It really gives off a end of the world type of vibe. They really did a good job on the game.
It's so sad and so awesome. The journey that different chosen undeads took with the same end goal. From Dark Souls 1 to Dark Souls 3, which is I think is the last of the series, the chosen undead finally ends the cycle with a boss fight that you had to fight twice (I don't know if it's mandatory to fight him twice) but here after a long journey, it has finally ended.
That is the amalgamation of ALL Souls who have linked the flame, hence it being an adept sorcerer/miracle master, all while having the theme of Gwyn in its song. Any chosen undead who linked the flame, any lord who did as such, they are all in the cinders. This boss is the spirit of the flame.
+Aby Awimba And the one from DS2 too probably, combined with the power of Gwyn, Vendrick, Nashandra and anyone else who would hold the throne and want to link the flames. That's what I get from it. Note that he extends his blade much like the Ivory King does as well, a combination indeed of a lot of different great rulers that tried to stop the darkness. And upon further notice there's a bunch of swords in the ground, meaning either it's been kindled a ton, or that combination of rulers and undead has been killing people for a long time.
I was too damn early into the final boss so I didn't have enough soul lvl to wear the full smough and I didnt find dragon area to get havel or orienstien so sorry bout the fatty
i cried once the second phase hit and the piano music came in. I don't know why. My body just went into complete shock and all i could see was DS1 and fighting qwyn. Man this game really knew how to hit it home.

This OST has ascended beyond. Dark Souls 1 had a beautiful soundtrack, but this, this is beyond even that. There's like a melancholy feel to it. As you fight what you've become, you feel pity, a true emotion fighting the shell of what you once were. Brings a tear to me eye, it does.

+Walter Ruiz I got my ass wiped out not knowing that it's 2 phases, also was studying his movements on 2nd phase so here is the details: Phase 1: - He uses long heavy sword of fire, you are allowed 1 hit. - He uses staff, evade and hit him like no tomorrow as his first attack is homing spears that look like fundles from amuro gundam, just drop him down to cancel it. - He uses a curved dagger keep evading you can't hit him. - He uses a long spear, evade then hit twice or once. Phase 2: - He does 1 attack then immediately syncs with the music to do the combo of fire so keep evading. - He tries to grab you just evade behind and hit twice. - He throws a lightning spear to the air, you have to run to him and hit him while evading the lightning. - He hold his sword up for 2 sec, evade far it's the combo. Took about 10 deaths to know all of this but after that I killed him 4 times without dying much
What happens if you touch the second bonfire leading to drag heap and not the bonfire used to go to the boss. I accidentally touched the second one leading to drag heap and now I can't get to this point
I got 2 more demons the nameless king and the ancient wyvern I already defeated the soul of cinder. Looking back to all the bosses I beat it makes me sad that this series has come to an end the souls series has brought me both joy and pain and I wish from software the best of luck and keep praising the sun
Amazing game play and lore aside, this series as some breathtaking soundtracks. Gwyn's soundtrack during the second phase basically sums up my experience with the series. I just felt so empty when I realized I was about to kill the Soul of Cinder. He was still two or three hits away, and normally I would have been paranoid at this stage if it were any other boss, but I knew this would be the end. I didn't feel scared of dying with one hit to go like I did with every other boss, I just felt sad. And the feeling of triumph after defeating a boss, this once I couldn't even think about that, I just felt empty.
That 2nd phase music. Way to make me sad when having to do this again. And lord, fighting him in Smough's armor. Should have had a buddy as Ornstein. Just salt to wound

This game its not about the AI.. or Combat moves... its more deeper than this.. its a story.. its a movie that you play through.. the sounds, the ambient, the whole world you are playing its all really interesting and kinda creepy beautifull though!

When I was fighting the final boss I kept getting goose bumps from the music in the second phase. It really gives off a end of the world type of vibe. They really did a good job on the game.
The second phase music isnt sad or any of that imo. Doesnt even sound that good, tbh.
It's so sad and so awesome. The journey that different chosen undeads took with the same end goal. From Dark Souls 1 to Dark Souls 3, which is I think is the last of the series, the chosen undead finally ends the cycle with a boss fight that you had to fight twice (I don't know if it's mandatory to fight him twice) but here after a long journey, it has finally ended.

That is the amalgamation of ALL Souls who have linked the flame, hence it being an adept sorcerer/miracle master, all while having the theme of Gwyn in its song. Any chosen undead who linked the flame, any lord who did as such, they are all in the cinders. This boss is the spirit of the flame.

Note that he extends his blade much like the Ivory King does as well, a combination indeed of a lot of different great rulers that tried to stop the darkness. And upon further notice there's a bunch of swords in the ground, meaning either it's been kindled a ton, or that combination of rulers and undead has been killing people for a long time.

i cried once the second phase hit and the piano music came in. I don't know why. My body just went into complete shock and all i could see was DS1 and fighting qwyn. Man this game really knew how to hit it home.

This OST has ascended beyond. Dark Souls 1 had a beautiful soundtrack, but this, this is beyond even that.
There's like a melancholy feel to it. As you fight what you've become, you feel pity, a true emotion fighting the shell of what you once were. Brings a tear to me eye, it does.

I compose musical scores for my side job, and this is beautiful, I love the orchestral sounds, can't tell if it's actually real instruments or sample sounds. The vocals are phenomenal. The music makes it so intense. Well orchestrated. Brilliantly done.

+Walter Ruiz I got my ass wiped out not knowing that it's 2 phases, also was studying his movements on 2nd phase so here is the details:
Phase 1:
- He uses long heavy sword of fire, you are allowed 1 hit.
- He uses staff, evade and hit him like no tomorrow as his first attack is homing spears that look like fundles from amuro gundam, just drop him down to cancel it.
- He uses a curved dagger keep evading you can't hit him.
- He uses a long spear, evade then hit twice or once.
Phase 2:
- He does 1 attack then immediately syncs with the music to do the combo of fire so keep evading.
- He tries to grab you just evade behind and hit twice.
- He throws a lightning spear to the air, you have to run to him and hit him while evading the lightning.
- He hold his sword up for 2 sec, evade far it's the combo.
Took about 10 deaths to know all of this but after that I killed him 4 times without dying much

I got 2 more demons the nameless king and the ancient wyvern I already defeated the soul of cinder.
Looking back to all the bosses I beat it makes me sad that this series has come to an end the souls series has brought me both joy and pain and I wish from software the best of luck and keep praising the sun

Amazing game play and lore aside, this series as some breathtaking soundtracks. Gwyn's soundtrack during the second phase basically sums up my experience with the series. I just felt so empty when I realized I was about to kill the Soul of Cinder. He was still two or three hits away, and normally I would have been paranoid at this stage if it were any other boss, but I knew this would be the end. I didn't feel scared of dying with one hit to go like I did with every other boss, I just felt sad. And the feeling of triumph after defeating a boss, this once I couldn't even think about that, I just felt empty.
