No one was more of a soulful sax player than the great Bobby Keys. He added so much to whoever he played with. Loved him on the Mad Dogs tour and I am sure he’s rocking in heaven right now!!!!!
I've seen five interviews on RUclips with Bobby Keys and they are all fantastic! Dude was not only a legendary sax player, he was an awesome interview. I miss him.
I saw The Rolling Stones June 3rd, 2013 in Chicago at United Center - amazing show! Bobby Keys wailed on the sax, reminded me of meeting Bobby Keys in Chicago when he played 2 shows with Hot Rocks in Chicago Feb. 2012 before he went back on tour with The Rolling Stones. Keep on playing that sax!
I was there that night also, went to the first show and went back again and saw the third night show, if my memory is right the first show special guest was Mick Taylor and that June 3rd was that pop girl singer what's her name that ruined the song with Jagger.
Ya, that's how they got their name...Buddy Holly and the Crickets. While recording in Buddy's parents Garage, one of the band members?--not Holly, heard a noise while recording. It turned out to be a Cricket.
Keith Richards just jelled with certain people. Fred Sessler, Ron Wood and others, but he and Bobby were the ultimate “let’s see how much trouble we can get into THIS time” pair. 😂
Bobby Keys and 'KeeF' were born only minuets apart... Brothers from different Mothers. Just seen him play (2014), to bad it was cirrhosis. Keith Richards will be preserved forever in the Smithsonian Museum when he passes(If it eVeR hApPeNs)?
I used to hand out with Tommy Handcock and his wife and daughter, Charlene and Tracey when they had a band in the mid-80's in Austin, Texas called the Supernatural Family Band. Smoke a lot of grass and popped a lottta pills. never met Bobby, but many I would have loved to play music with him.
Bobby will be so missed in this world. As odd, as it might seem.. Bobby Keys & Keith Richards are perfect examples. They are just ordinary street kids, who took one thing & put their heart & soul into it. Never sought the success, so much as, just loving what they do.=======On Forty Licks.. they ask Keith something & he says " You see, playing guitar is all I really know how to do". You almost feel sorry for him til you think Hey Youre #@#$ Keith Richards- The best !
Keith likes to surround himself with the real American rock n rollers because he he can never be one. Bobby Keys was there when rock & roll started while Keef was still wishing to be there!

I am from Texas and was in Chicago working and saw the Stones twice while they were there it was awesome, will miss Bobby.
When the interviewer said, "Maybe" to Bobby's going to be 70 statement, I bet he choked on that looking back when Bobby died.

Keith Richards just jelled with certain people. Fred Sessler, Ron Wood and others, but he and Bobby were the ultimate “let’s see how much trouble we can get into THIS time” pair. 😂
Keith said Bobby was his best friend.

Bobby, se ha extrañado tu presencia en Argentina en la ultima visita de The Rolling Stones. Un gran músico.

Saw the Stones in 75' & 81'. But never with Bobby. Check out his book, it's good.
It's easy to see why Bobby was Keiths close friend
Bobby and Keith had the same birthday. Same month, day and year.
Keith likes to surround himself with the real American rock n rollers because he he can never be one. Bobby Keys was there when rock & roll started while Keef was still wishing to be there!

Another great interview with bobby! Where was this filmed at?!
Taped at The Peninsula Hotel in Chciago
Old-school dope feind...super streetwise...Mick didn't like Keith hanging out BK...Keith loved BK...BK schooled Keith...
Pretty much. Keef is a lightweight compared to BK.
too bad they didn"t let tell the story of bobby talking to keith when they were playing dominoes
