Best friends with guitarist Keith Richards and considered the 6th Stone, Bobby Keys is best rock’n’roll saxophonist in the world. He is best known for his work with, among others, The Rolling Stones, John Lennon, Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton and an endless number of Texas musicians who are featured in the film, including Joe Ely. Keys is recognised famously for his work on Brown Sugar and the album Exile on Main Street.
Bobby’s story of a small town Texas kid who knew Buddy Holly, found the road out of town through music, played with Elvis and Donovan, achieved rock’n’roll stardom with The Stones only to crash and burn before a comeback again with the band has resonated.
Bobby Keys the best ever !!! RIP brother
I have the book, didn't know they made a movie!
As a tenor sax player, Keys and Lenny Picket were huge influences for me.
Bobby was like... the second person I met when coming back from L.A. back in 2012. He was in town for a thing and he was the nicest guy.
I recommend this highly.
awwww..can't wait to see this. Met him about a year before he passed
WOW! I'm about to Jam Mr. Bobby Keys all day today.
Bobby, such an integral part of the Stones dont ja just love it🎷💎🔥👌👏☘️
Loved this. Thank you
Awesome..stones need him
💖 Bobby 🎷
Keith said it the 6th stone !
The 7th. Let’s not forget Ian Stuart.
Because they were junkie partners! NTTAWWT! If you're going to be a junkie, what better partner than Keith?
WoWser‼
Boots Randolph played sax on Return to Sender.
Thanks for the clarification. I'm sure Bobby wouldn't want the credit where none exists.
I hope Bobby Whitlock's stories get recounted. His RUclips channel has a great bit on Mr. Keys.
Joe Cocker!
Can’t you hear me Knockin’?
When will this be released?
God Bless Bobby but it's Buddy Lucas on "the Wanderer"
of course Buddy lucas played on The Wanderer.(and Sticks Evans on drums). Why cant these filmakers do just a little homework. They may learn something. Bobby was a great none the less and live he kicked ass.
@@recordguy4321 for all the greats interviewed you'd hope or expect these matters would be thoroughly checked and corrected if need be before it's released👍🏻
I always thought it was Dinky Flange
If they considered in the sixth stone, why didn’t they pay him accordingly?
There were so many sixth Stones that they can't be counted.
Let's not get ridiculous!😂
