1) we should not lose ourselves in marriage ( love your self)
2) maintain an intimate relationship with God
3) surround yourself with things that lift your spirit
4) we reap what we sow: he poured into his wife spiritually in the beginning and she later lifted him back to his place in God

This episode is so raw and refreshing. Their year 7, was our year 3. God can heal broken marriages if we yield to him and is obedient. We are about to celebrate 18 years of marriage in December. I am thankful that we are at a healthy place in our marriage. Be encouraged.

Laterras, when you read that section of scripture in Tatianna's book, I had to give a good old shout because that's one of my favorite scriptures. To know that Paul wrote Philippians while he was in prison - going through active persecution - has given me so much hope during some of the hardest times of my life.
Regardless of the external or internal prisons we endure, we CAN think on the goodness of God and seek Him out, not only for His instructions, but for His PEACE - a peace that passes all understanding.

OMG!!! SHE HAS MY TESTIMONY!!! Mine ended in divorce after him filing at 10 years, but God has told me that He is going to renew it and use my journaling to write my testimony when it's done. I've done and continue to do my work, and just waiting for God to continue His good work in him so He can use us as a testimony. In the meantime, I still treat him with love and respect and cover him in prayer.
God has given us free will... so if he decides he doesn't want to do what God has spoken and shown...then I am still trusting God for His victory no matter how it will look in my life🙌🏼🙏🏼

I really enjoyed this🙏. I felt Tatiana’s tears welling up b/c mine did too. I know what it is like to be mistreated by my husband. My story ended in divorce but it was for my good. My ex-husband has two failed marriages and is now living with his mistress from 30 yrs ago. Our daughter is 30, get it! Marriage is a God thing. I’ll continue to wait on what God has for me🙏.

@@DearFutureWifey Yes, 30 years ago. I never imagined that I would have to help my daughter navigate knowing that situation intimately. Instinctively, she knew something was off with the situation. One day she asked me if I knew (insert the woman’s full name), I only knew her first name but then I instantly knew / remembered. I am in prayer about it a lot as you can imagine. I am not equipped to understand what it must feel like to know this about one’s father. Very interesting days theses days. She actually asked my daughter out for Father’s Day dinner. How about that🧐?

I know its no coincidence that I'm on my last day of a 21 day fast to be intentional about the next season of life as God prepare me for my future Husband. I've journaled throughout this process of what my heart desires, the lessons I've learned from these encounters with God, and what has been poured into my heart through the word. To watch the Merritt's is nothing but a God thing. I now look forward to Wednesday mornings.
Her testimony of going from feeling worthless and then moving to obedience in spending that intimate time with God, to God reaffirming her worth and loving her back to life...whew 💟 I am single, never been married, but God used her to speak right to my heart!
Enjoyed the episode. I was grateful to meet her at the conference. Grace exudes from her. She is so sweet. I’m so grateful they didn’t give up on love and God.
What I love most about this interview is how the wife sacrificed her sleep (something she really wanted) to literally sit with God and in that God gave her grace to respect her husband (the mandate) when he wasn't loving her (the mandate). It was the secret place that equipped her with the tools, and even a book.
They are honest and I'm thankful they persevered to see the beautiful fruits of a holy spirit filled marriage. God bless you both and may the Lord continue to breathe on this marriage.

Me too… growing up watching my mother being abused non stop until her life ended. Men is like an afterthought, I haven’t talked to anyone… I’m tired of men walking up to me saying I’m their wife when they already have one. These ungodly men be something else.
I keep hearing women say they had a vision of their husband. I keep having dreams and visions of a guy I never met but I just support what he does. I never looked at a man and felt anything like were supposed to be together but I feel him in my spirit and I’m just always praying for him… but he keeps popping up throughout my day. I know it sounds crazy… and I’ve been single and celibate for 14 years.

This episode was on another level! I don’t usually comment but this one made me cry especially when she spoke about OBEDIENCE. Sometimes we forget obedience is better than sacrifice. Obedience is what can literally shift your whole life. I am a living testimony of that. One word and one instruction from God can change your life. But will you be obedient? When I saw the title, I was like, Oh, I’m going to watch, but, when I saw how attractive they were, I said, “I’m not going to watch this.
I don’t want to hear their happy love story” and started watching something else on RUclips; and doing other things.
Its evening time and I’m on RUclips; again; watching something else.
There it is again…
unable to avoid this time and said, “Ok, let me watch and see whats going on!”

Marriage is work. It’s not for the faint of heart. As believers everything will not go in a straight line. Sometimes there are uphill obstacles and steep downhill hurdles but God will work things out for our IF we keep our eyes fixed on HIM.

This session was amazing and an inspiration to me as a woman of God patiently waiting on my purpose partner. As a young couple they revealed both the great &challenging moments you experience dating and also when married. Love the transparency, always they thought us that God has to be the centre of your relationship for it to survive.
