Add a 2200 Nit HDMI Monitor to your DJI RC2!

- I live in Arizona and the sun makes it near impossible to see the 700nit screen on the DJI RC2 and since I had used my AndyCine 4K HDMI monitor on my old SmartController I wanted to use it on the DJI RC2. The RC2 doesn't have an HDMI out like the old Smart Controller did, but using a USB C to HDMI converter, it will drive a HDMI monitor. I searched and searched and finally found this one from Cable Matters that has a flexible flat cable that will bend 180 degrees for mounting under the controller.
This video shows how I have mine setup. Links are included.

Nice move! Good thinking! Thanks for making the video.
Thank you for the information about the Thor mount for RC 2 and the HDMI and video card options
Have you tried to get a clean video signal out of the RC2, so without OSD? That would be fantastic.
Not possible with the RC2 unfortunately. Hopefully DJI will add it because it's phenomenal on the RC Pro. I use a Feelworld LUT11 on a tripod and its a game changer with OSD off.
@@desertdroneworks cool thanks! With the Feelworld LUT11, you can turn off OSD using the RC2?
@@billehman1 Negative, RC Pro only at present.
That would be the best option if you can turn the OSD off
From where buy mount holder same you have
How come not use just a type c to HDMI 3.1 high speed cable??
I heard RC2 is shutting down/bugging out with hdmi adapters.
good night-excellent ~ see ya, ✋
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
That's awesome! Thank you for the video! If I'm understanding this all correctly, you can go to any hdmi screen, with a usbc to hdmi converter/cable, correct? Even if it's a full on big screen tv?
Thanks for the video. I live in Tucson. How long will it last outside in 100 to 115 deg heat in shade? Will it over heat?
Not that I've seen. I think I'd overheat/melt before the HDMI monitor does.
Can you turn the display overlays off
