Great great videos. I have been following you guys and I am so excited about watching the next one. Thank you for preserving history. Truthful History is a must for our nation
Thanks for covering these lesser known but still important battles. The camera work to show the terrain and important features is especially appreciated, as well as the Civil War Trails markers.
I Wish you guys would go to Tennessee and Mississippi and cover those battles they do not get much attention these days. Like Corinth and Iuka and Brice's crossroads just to name a few of many.
Hope you guys consider coming to Charleston. There are historical markers along the Kanawha Boulevard, the confederate spy graves on the Sunrise Carriage Trail, Dickinson Saltworks, Battle of Scary Creek and much more!
I have a recollection of visiting the battlefield site of Carnifex Ferry when I was a child travelling with my Mother on our way to visit my Aunt and cousins in Radford, Va. Will you be doing an episode on that site?
I think the tag at 24 seconds saying "PRESTON, WEST VIRGINIA" should be PARSONS. William & Deborah Corrick are my great-great-great grandparents. Three of their children came out to Santa Rosa, California. Two others went to Fresno, California and one went to San Luis Obispo, California.
I wonder if you might do something regarding the 14th WV Volunteer Infantry. Most of my great great grandfathers fought in the 14th, along with other kin.
How close is this to Terra Alta? Thats where my GG Grandfather was from he fought with the 6th WV Cavalry, and was captured at New Creek, sent to Libby Prision in Richmond.
im having a hard time finding a good video of DROOP MOUNTAIN my relative nutter malone was in the 20th virginia calavry no real info on droop mountain most only show the lookout tower ect. no real info could you all maybe piont a great video or revisit this ?

Most of the area would be bare of trees in 1861.
@@tomliii8619 Thanks for the insightful information!
Thank you for another excellent video which keeps the American Civil War history alive for all to see and learn!
I'm loving this series!
You Guys are the best...no PBS propaganda b.s. from you...'just the facts mam'.....
This is great advertising for West Virginia

Dang I live in Charleston and never heard of them 😕
Wild, wonderful West By God.
Corrick's Ford isn't in Preston Co., WV it is in Parsons, Tucker Co., WV. I grew up there and I played there as a child.
Excellent Cheers chaps

Very nice. Hope u check out Elkwater. It was a massive encampment and Major thoroughfare in the Tygarts River valley for the troops.

Hi Mike, my husband is also related to William & Deborah through Baxter (his great grandfather). Would love to visit the area.
Great video. Will there be a video on BG William E Jones raid on the B&O railroad bridge in Fairmont, WV?

Great video, is the Corrick's house accessible for a visit?
As far as we know it is a private residence, but there are trails with interpretive signs all around the park.
I just watched a video regarding Brig. Gen. Garnett and the possibility of mistaken identity of different Garnett family members.

Terra Alta is about 10 - 12 miles or so north.
@@tomliii8619 thought it was close. TA was called Cranberry Glade during the time of the Civil War.
Was Robert Garnett related to Richard Garnett. The picture shown in this video resembles Richard.
I believe they were cousins.
I believe it is Parsons, West Virginia, not Preston!
