Dude, I was an OTR driver for more than fifty years. Hauled everything you can think of, starting out logging, though. Even "yanked a tank" for a while back in the days of drop down and pin legs and top load only tanks. Hauled milk, too (hated that job, but it sure taught me how to back up in tight places, makes hitting a dock a breeze). Usually, I don't watch this style of video. I find it boring. However, yours is the exception. You obviously take pride in your truck, your cooking skills are fantastic, and you treat your dog with love. Thankyou.
Oh wow man I appreciate the kind words...
Yea me to...@@Life-On-18-Wheels
Learned early on that preparing your own meals ahead of time is the only way to go. It saves money, time, and allows a driver to eat healthier as well. @@Life-On-18-Wheels
When the Father shuts one door he will open another and you like what you do you won't get tired of it sir
Not at all...thank you
Great video! I’m a former truck driver turned commercial pilot but I still miss some things about trucking. This video takes me back. Really nice production value.
Oh wow thank you.. I was and still am very into aviation
Easy to become hooked on trucking's itinerant lifestyle.
Praying for you. And I’m trying to teach my son and daughter to listen to the motors of their toys and vehicles. Love your videos
Thank you
I drove a day cab Titan 90 with 8500 gal tanker trailer back in the late 70's for three years. Liked the 13 speed Road Ranger behind a noisy/weak/oil consuming 350 screaming jimmy. And I washed by hand all the time and did fluid/filter changes.

Yes sir you got some groceries the only way to roll...💯
Absolutely
Hello Mike & furry pal. New subscriber. - Retired OTR Reefer & Consolidated Freightways Line Haul 1977-2009. Enjoyed your presentation. - As a former 'Swingin' Meat' hauler, I remember cooking steaks wrapped in aluminum foil on the exhaust manifold ! Back then, never had time to fire-up the grill !! Had to run, run, run. - Thanks for the ride - have a safe one.
Steve / W5BIB Mobile, Ala.
Man that brings back memories when I was a little boy riding with dad and heating up meat that way... we would run all day and all night sometimes and then stop open hood and throw the meat wrapped in aluminum foil straight on the manifold lol... I truly appreciate the sub
I remember those days too. NO E LOG, thats why it was go go go! I also hauled swingin beef, and also swingin hogs out of Downs KS. back in the day.
Hauled the beef outta IBP, Swift, National, Armour. A lot out of Guyman, Herford, Amarillo & Dodge City w/a '74 Cabover Freightliner (glider kit) w/a straight (no turbo) 250 Cummins, 10sp Spicer & a 40ft 'rail trailer'. - No cell phones, No air-ride, No power steering, just paper logbook(s), check-call once a day & boogie boogie boogie @@YesItsNotMe
For me Beef out of Greeley, Ft Morgan CO, Garden City, Dodge City KS, Grand Island NE, Center point steering if ya was fortunate, no air ride, air wipers, windows sketchy as heck..I could go on and on like you. Digby, Steinbecker Bros, RFI out of Denver, Curtis, Monfort.....a couple of other outlaw outfits I wont name. I miss those days@@maxx21147
I love the fridge looks he’s ready to rock n
Roll
I was ready lol
Be safe out there take care your friend Billy
Thank you Mr Billy
I do the same. Always drive with my window down so I can here the engine and in the winter time if it's splashing frome the wheels.
Ps sorry for my bad English spelling.
Best regards frome Snowman in Sweden truck driver for 33 years now.
Awesome man... nothing like listening to the engine sing a tune...

@@Life-On-18-Wheels deal with some of the BEST diesel mechanics in No. Louisiana.
Whats up trucker brother.
I' ve Been on the road for 20+ years in Canada.
If you are a great driver trust me they will bite their tongue in a few months.
Good drivers are hard to find in today's world.
Peace out !
That ain't no lie... they are a rare commodity these days
One thing I NEVER did was trust my fuel gauges. I would have put it in first gear and bumped the stater to get to the pump. 400’, if you did it in ten feet increments it would have made it.
I did it once, however it was only about 25’. I never ran out of fuel again!
30+ years of trucking.
I won't trust it no.more lol
Genius idea
You have a beatiful truck. I was impressed how smouth it rides and how Quiet it is in the cab. interesting video
Thank you ✌️
I drove for Mobile Oil and Shell Oil down here in central Florida, All together 43 years and over 3 million miles!!! And by the way I also ran OTR part of that time!
Oh nice
Loving the content - keep it up. First fuel based trucking content I've really seen, very interesting to see the entire process. Great truck as well. Love those Pete's!
Thank you man
I like the one piece windshield cool be safe GodBless
Thank you God bless
Michael, someone upstairs is looking out for you. You ran out of fuel going to get fuel in the fuel island. It could’ve been way way worse. You could’ve been stuck on the side of the big road. Always count your blessings I know you do.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
They are fully counted each and every day
I'm starting on Carnivore Diet very soon. Its much needed!!!!!
It Can save your health.. don't listen to what the pros say about red meat they just don't want everyone to be doing It cause they will loose money on there other bs stuff
New sub / use to be tanker driver retired.
Love that truck & 🐕 which obviously has not missed many meals..
Happy Trails from NM
Thank you much..
I agree 💯 I love listening too a Diesel engine run and you can definitely tell a lot about how it is running that way. back in the 80’s we had a two week stretch of cold weather in the Midwest where it didn’t get above -20 F and I ran #2 diesel with a quart of methanol in each tank and I didn’t have any fuel problems but there were trucks every couple miles on the side of the road gelled up but I couldn’t believe how smooth the engine ran and the power it had in those conditions
Absolutely... thank for watching
I never trusted the fuel gauge, always fueled up according to my trip miles. Y'all have a good one now.
I ain't trusting it no more lol 1000 miles and we filling lol
Loved this video!! I drive a local delivery route in Beaverton, Oregon, in a 26-foot box truck. I love to see how you dive and deliver your loads. I'm very glad that I found your RUclips videos. I subscribed and liked the video. I'm sure I will return to watch the next adventure. Thank you for sharing this video l thoroughly enjoyed it. Have a great day, and safe journeys. 😊

Love your soundtrack...like something out of a Quentin Tarantino movie. 👍

Can’t trust fuel gauge in trucks my Dad use to preach that point to me all the time
When I started out and they really emphasized that at the truckdriving school I went to I was told if you can’t see in those tanks then you have to get yourself a dipping stick to check your fuel level but I know your on your Triple AAA game Mike
Lol I won't trust that sucker no more lol.. 1300 miles and I'm looking for a fuel stop
Enjoy your videos and enjoy learning about what u do for a living hope u stay safe 😊
Thank you much
Well now you know for sure that the fuel gauge is wrong and you have to adjust so you should NEVER run out of fuel again.
Yep lol
Greetings Mike I and my family are from Alexandria, Louisiana we're now mostly currently living in Texas, Cypress Texas in my case ! Good to see another Louisiana boy out running the roads! NICE rig! I know who Guillory Petroleum Transport is, as I think they used to deliver to the Texaco station when I was running one MacArthur Drive back in the day!
BTW I have one of those lil Coleman gas stoves I've had for over 30 yeas, still works like a charm and will burn your food if you don't keep the flame down but will boil water in a one quart pot in minutes, and it is easy on gas! 👏🏽 👍🏼☺
Thank you... yep we used to haul that Texaco... and still do every once in a while...my Coleman has never let me down..
OA for many years. Our own trailers...bulk super Bs, A tran bulker, double drop equipment and triaxle pot. Retired now but still have 2 trucks to play with once in a while, mostly just local stuff. Just found your channell!!👍
I do truly appreciate it thank you
Don't you just hate it when the fuel guy runs out of fuel LOL :) I drove fuel for 41 yers Gas,Jet, Diesel, Aviation gas.. I retired 5 yrs ago. looks like your are doing a fine job. Be safe out there.
Thank you...

Thank you great video.
Absolutely
God bless you 🙏🏻
God bless you as well thank you
Just possibly getting into fuel hauling, did a ride along Monday. The truck I was in had pump connections on both sides and cross valves so you don’t have to switch your hose on single loads. Great content always and I just subscribed, I will let you know where my rookie year at 55 takes me. Either going to be fuel or steel. Down the road hopefully O/O
Stay safe out there
Will try thank you

Always watch the whole Video. Also love love love it when there's no music. Other than the turbo and exhausts. Never get tired of hearing it.
Yeah I know but got alot of rattling in the cab and wind noise... don't think to many people want to hear all that
Man nothing like taking the time to grill your own steak out of the road. I remember when I used to do that myself, when I had time to do so. Great video 👍🍿
Thank you much
If I were just hearing this man I would be positive that this is the voice of Don Garlits!
Lol
Great job thank you
Thank you...
Drove a truck for a while.
Had to give it up because of back and shoulder problems. When I see you all out there brings back good time. Love your truck, Awesome video
Thank you... 👍
Bella almost snuck onto school bus with your son. 😂 🐶
Luckily you ran out of diesel near the fuel island and not 50 miles away from truck stop. Keep up the great videos. 👍 At the rest area after eating dinner one of your rear tire on passenger side looks like thread is separating.
I checked and it looks good

That Detroit sounds amazing, I had a series 60 before with those chrome mufflers. That must’ve muffled it quite a bit cuz it never sounded that healthy.
Yeah we straight piped it so it will really bellow now
I was meaning to say merchandise my friend sorry about that, my fingers don't move like they use to, um also was a truck driver second generation my dad drove over the rosf for about 40 yes, I have been driving since 1998 sbout 13 yes until I got sick I have rhuemotiod arthriis in my hands and joints osteoarthritis in my knees I had to retire
Be safe out there my friend.
Ahh man that arthritis can be pretty painful
One of our guys had a similar incident a few miles away from the terminal. Yeah, funny stories for when you're a Old man. It was a good day, goofy day. Running out of fuel , scary impromptu scale. But , you made it. Had good help! Between the Loves mechanic and Rodny. That helps! Of course Bella has a part in it too! Safe travels and God bless your travels and family.
I know that's right lol
Keep on keeping on, god bless❤

Ya buddy 😊 hope all is well driv,ah..
Where you been at man... ain't seen you around town..
I woke up & your video popped up & I got you locked in! I've always wanted to know how you guys operate pulling tanker. I've never pulled but I'm trying to get signed on outta Atlanta but these terminals are a joke! More work & opportunities closer to the Gulf & the river! I've been in Atlanta since Katrina & I can't wait to get outta here! I'm 34yrs safe driving & I sold my 1996 W900L 3406e in 2021😭 Long story but she went to a good home up in North Ohio. But I miss that scenery you're riding in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama. As much as I miss my W9 , I'd get me a Pete if I got another truck! Preferably with a big Kitty in the nose🥰. Stay safe driver✌🏾
Ohh how I wish mine was a kitty but this ol detriot does pretty good...that old 96 kw was a good truck...
I like the the carnera view God be with you

Wow you know how to video a truck drivers life , feel like i am in the drivers seat, way to go brother thanks for the video.
Thank you much
It’s good to watch, I am learning
Thank you
Yes sir, that's the only downside to trying to use all your money's worth with fuel in big rig tanks. The fuel went to the back of the tank and it didn't suck up enough and caused it to shut off.
I've heard stories of guys having this issue with still a quarter of a tank, which is still quite a bit a fuel, but because of staying parked on an angle or driving up at an angle, it screwed them.
The only way to fix it is to prime the engine and line again. Definitely sucks... Pun intended 😂😊 Glad all worked out well!
Lol man that was a messed up ordeal lol
I really appreciate the effort you put into your videos Mike. The music, while still hearing the truck in the background, the time lapse, the picture in picture. Awesome to see you throw in some new stuff and find the right mix. Good also to see some of the people you work with like Chad and Big Sexy haha, I'm sure you learned allot from him over the years.
Thank you man.. really means alot to me

I'd tap into the rear of the tank. connect another fuel line and T it into the other lines. May be more expensive next time.

I started just resetting the trip every fuel up and take the gauge as a suggestion lol
Yeah I do that to and usually I can go about 1500 miles before fueling up and this day was like 1300 Give or take can't remember...
Even on empty you should have at least a 30 mile reserve
