This year do you think if you rented the hole farm out do you think you would have made more money or farming it all out in the end ? This is a question because we got a farm by a family member passing away .
I was just a kid when my father was involved in an accident and was in the hospital in traction during harvest. Our neighbors all brought their combines and grain wagons over and harvested all our crops. Farmers do those things for each other.
I have watched every episode of your soybean and corn harvest. I am in awe of how you all worked such long hours to get it completed and then turn around and help your neighbors. The planning and logistics to get the grains in the silos coupled with the added pressure of keeping the equipment running was an eye opener for me. I have great respect for all of you…Cole, Cooper, Daddy Constar, Roman and the ladies who had hearty meals ready for you at night. I have really enjoyed your grandfather’s mansion renovation and look forward to seeing what you do next with the movie theater. I love your positive attitude your boundless energy and your work ethic. I have the highest respect and gratitude for what you do! Blessings to all of you. Thank God for our farmers and what they provide! 🌽⭐️🫶
Yes thank you for all your vlogs I’am 73 and have learned something about farming, not everything but stuff I never knew about ,Thank you for helping your neighbors that’s a very kind thing to do.

Congrats on your fantastic harvest. Thank you to all the farmers out there that provide us with our food !!! Thank you for making non farmers aware of the gamble you guys take. Another great video !
The best part of harvest is that nobody was injured, family got to work together, and you were able to see the fruits of your labor!!! My very best wishes for continued success and good health, and for your family as well.
My heart was smiling while my eyes were crying for joy while watching Zach smiling. ❤ Way to go Cornstar Team for helping neighbors. Prayers for your neighbor family.
I remember my dad going to help a farmer in need. A cow was giving birth and the calf was not coming out dad had to put his arms in and pull the baby out saving both the mother and calf’s lives. When the farmer came home he visited my dad and wanted to pay him, my dad would not take a penny. But the gratitude that farmer had made a huge impression on me as a little girl.
It seems like a Catch-22 for farmers; when yields are low, prices are high, and when yields are high, prices are low. Good for you (all) for having the guts to put in your own bins (may God give your justice!.) It must be a constant test of your faith. May God bless and prosper you.
The Farming Community is a beautiful community. Everyone working together, neighbor aren't just the folks next door, they are down the road, over the hills. God bless you all and praying for your neighbor that they are coming to better health.
As a small town teacher in Montana, a family had invited me to dinner; when they needed to pull a calf. I suddenly found myself as a young urban girl holding a chain connected to a baby in a momma! I knew I missed my calling after that experience ☺️❤🙏🏻 for whatever reason, helping your neighbor reminded me of that!!! THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO

Food prices are sky high while farmers are getting record low prices. Feels like the middle men are doing some price fixing. Apparently McDonald’s is going after the top 5 beef producers for price fixing as well. Hope you guys make some money. Love seeing family farms!
From what I understand, their corn goes towards the production of ethanol not food. With that said, I don’t have an understanding on why corn prices are lower at this time.
Neighbors helping neighbors is always a good thing ! Yesterday I helped my neighbor pick persimmons from his trees. My payment was some persimmons !!! 👍
May God Bless you and the others who helped the neighbor get his corn harvest completed! Fortunately, your combine didn't breakdown towards the beginning of harvest, and thankfully your harvest filled the bins and then some extra that went to the co-op.
Thank you Col for this very interesting journey of farming....as a 73 year old grandmother...I have learned a lot and have enjoyed the journey. You have made everything very interesting and fun to watch....thank you!! May the Lord bless you, your family and your farm!!
Finding hot bearings, pulleys, etc. go buy an infrared thermometer. You can point it at the different components and learn what is normal operating temp versus too hot. Great troubleshooting tool.
Cole, you guys have been working so hard on that farm with checking soil samples, tilling, different fertilizer different corn types, fixing the soil. It does not surprise me in the least that it is now paying off with your large harvests. Sorry to hear the inputs were so expensive. I think we are all feeling the increased prices of everything. Fingers crossed prices go up for u! Happy Harvest!
Congrats! Now that the farm is on an upswing and can produce bumper crops, the future is bright especially with the potential of reducing expenses and the knowledge of seed/fertilizer benefits. Good luck with the prices increasing next year and your bottom line showing a hefty profit! 😎
What a great harvest this year. You all work very hard. it’s a beautiful thing to help your neighbor, I know we do it here also. Not farming but with other things . 🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽God bless you and your family 🙏🏻❤️
Love to watch your harvest. I miss making lunch for the field and the hustle. You all really have it going on for sure. Love Zack s face when he was running the combine. Thanks for helping your neighbors. It's a good thing to do
You have a beautiful sense of community, I pray for a better price for your harvest and a brighter future for your neighbour whom is unwell wishing them and you all the best xxx
we had a younger neighbor die just as harvest was about to start a few years back and he was fairly well liked by everyone , so they had 4 different farms all pitch in and help them get their crops all out. The guy was only in his late 40s so it was a sudden thing. It was awesome to see how fast his fields were all empty. Good people helping good people always works out well in times like that.

This vid pulled at my heartstrings. I respect a sentimental man because I am the same way. Life is hard, we all need to stick together. God bless you Cole and your family and friends.
In Ohio this year our yields were down. 54 bu soybeans 188 bu corn but we still made a profit even with lower prices. We no-till with older used equipment and fix everything ourselves. Can't imagine these huge farms with all the expensuve equipment, labor, and other expenses and not making money. If you can't make money with those great yields you're in trouble.
I get it with family farms, every time I go by my grandpa’s farm it brings a lot of special memories up ! Good to see this special sentiment in your video 💕
Same here. My grandmother ended up selling our E Texas farm because my dad didn’t want it. I spent a lot of summers there as a kid and I miss it. I go take a road trip and drive by it every few years.
Glad you're done, it's finally going to rain at the end of late October/early November. Interesting story about neighbor helping neighbor, so rare nowadays. Luv the tractor driving tutorial too...
Great video Cole, and congratulations on your fantastic harvest! I think the reason you had such a great harvest is the meticulous record keeping you have been keeping for the past few years. The areas on the farm that were not producing as well as others were identified and adjustments were made. Be it fertilizer, seed type, pesticides or any other of the variables you can control; you noted. Everything you charted contributed to this bountiful harvest. You deserve a big pat on your back!! Very well done 👏🏻👏🏻
OMG! The amount of heavy equipment, hard working generous, compassionate men and the unbelievable amount of crop being harvested and hauled continues to blow me away. I am beyond speechless. AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!!! VERY WELL DONE!!!
Great harvest work, and I really love the help given on the neighbors farm. Let's hope the forward prices are better than the spot price. We are NOT done praying yet.🎉
God bless you for helping out your neighbors like that. I do pray for your farm and that you’re able to run it in the black, as I pray for all the farmers in this great land. Y’all are the reason why America has been so great over the centuries. You provide us with lots of affordable food and grains so that we can live in an affordable manner. It hurts my heart when I hear of farms going under because I know there are families devastated by the loss and lots of hard working people out of work. So yes. I do pray that your farm has great success and God Bless Cornstar farms.
I feel the same way we’re living in my grandfather‘s house and me and my sister are third generation in this house since 1932 on the Passaic river in New Jersey grandfather was a tugboat captain in the army and want to keep his legacy on by having boats in the water in the river
After having watched another farming vid tonight I am not completely surprised at the loss. The other farm had paid $35 (an acre?) or a bushel for some kind of fertilizer something that promised crazy growth and only yielded an extra $4 or something per acre...that $31 of wasted money adds up quickly. Not to mention the price of fertilizer varying and the price of seed and then low commodity prices in a rigged market. Small family farms put their neck on the line every single year to do what they do. Thank you!!
That was just a small sample plot were they tested it to see if in the future they would do more acreage..it was a wash..so they lost just on the test plot and I'm thinking the product was given to them to test oit

I do pray that your farm has great success and God Bless Cornstar farms.
Congrats on a productive year.
Thanks for doing the right thing and taking care of your neighbors!!
I feel the same way we’re living in my grandfather‘s house and me and my sister are third generation in this house since 1932 on the Passaic river in New Jersey grandfather was a tugboat captain in the army and want to keep his legacy on by having boats in the water in the river
Always good to see people coming together to help each other.
Fantastic yield year! Congratulations. Hope $ go higher when you ship out.
Thanks for giving us the numbers and explaining the financial side of farming! Very interesting!
That is not good news , but you had a fairly smooth harvest and record yields, so you're on̈ the right track. Your family is very lucky
