      I have the grip 2, and it feels great but the adjustments are overwhelming. Is the damper the same for every length shock or is there a different length rod for different sizes?

    • @MaxMustermannnnnn
      @MaxMustermannnnnn 4 года назад

      RideMTB_SF I think they are different. For the 34 the damper fits for few sizes. I looked for a upgrade and the damper would fit in 110-130mm travel.

    Threw a Grip2 in my F36 performance grip fork on my MT. I watched your Grip 2 setup video, did some experimentation and ended up with an awesome feeling fork! 2 volume spacers, a little less psi and a touch more sag (20-25%) than Fox recommends and tweaked compression and rebound to taste and it's rad!

      @mattdudester9037 4 года назад

      This is my next upgrade after converting my hubs. I haven't been happy with the Performance Grip. I did add a DSD RUNT and that helped out tremendously. If MT stands for Mega Tower than you might have the DT 370's. There's a conversion video showing how to go to the star ratchet set up of the 350 / 240

      @@mattdudester9037 the grip 2 works well if you take the time to set it up properly! I'm enjoying the hell out of mine. The front end has more traction than it ever has and doesn't beat my hands up. I do have a Megatower but have replaced my stock wheels with DT EX511 rims and i9 Hydra hubs 🤙

  • @pavel_zak
    @pavel_zak 4 года назад +3

    I've replaced 2015 RC2 with 2020 Grip and the difference is noticeable. Still not comparable with 2018+ forks as they have a larger negative volume chamber. Going to try Vorsprung Luftkappe in a couple of days. Still - if you add the prices of Grip 2 damper, Luftkappe and some fresh SKF seals, you might as well sell the old fork a buy a shiny new one.

I have been looking at used 36 but what I have available, the 36 comes with the older fit4 damper. Do you thinks it's worth buying used and older technology just pass from 34 to 36?
