I recommend the blue port shopping centre right at the top where the food court is, very good food and very cheap up there.

I loved watching this. In 2005, I did an adventure trip from Canada to Turkey with my 12 year old son, inclusing almost identical time and activities in Marmaris. Seeing this brought back wonderful memories. He turned 31 a few days ago. Sadly, interference, lies and false accusations by his jealous and unstable mom caused an irrepairable rift between my son and I after the divorce in 2007. Please please please hang on to your son with both hands and never ever let him go. I had made a 2 hour movie of our trip, before travel vlogs were a thing, and have the opening title here:

@@Jax_outandabout My wife (18 months now) and I are retired and in the last 2 years have made 8 trips overseas. Backpacks only (while staying at Hilton/Accor group of hotels - no 1 star or hostels for us ). We just got back last week from driving 6,000 kms through 11 countries in 3 weeks, Amsterdam to venice and back, via germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Belgium, Netherlands and a few tinier ones. February we were in Singapore, Batam Indonesia and Kuala Lumpur. September 2023, we bussed Dublin to Belfast, Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen, Edinburg, Newcastle, Leeds, London, Bournemouth, Bath, Bristol, Birmingham, Liverpool, Dublin. February 2023, Paris, Athens, Cairo and 4 day Nile cruise. And 3 trips through Turkey. Your son speaks above his age level thanks to you showing him the world. My sons also travel because I instilled that into them when they were young. Too many people waste their lives afraid to see what's beyond the visible horizon. Don't stop experiencing the world, keep sharing awesome moments and memories with your son. Cheers.

That sounds like some awesome cool trips mate👍 last year at the start of the year we went to Australia and Thailand then Japan for a few weeks..Kyoto,Tokyo,Hiroshima and Osaka and also Spain to Madrid and Benidorm then finished off the year again Thailand and also Cambodia in December and January then Turkey in April.. we are hoping to go somewhere next month then India later in the year👍
I want to show my son as much of the world as possible i love travelling to new places the world is an amazing place...a read a quote years ago on a bar roof in Thailand and its always stuck with me
'the world is like a book and those that dont travel only read the first page' 👍😁
      cheers

@@Jax_outandabout I suggest this itinerary. Fly to Cairo. See the pyramids (of course), See the City of the Dead and Cairo Museum, Old City. Not much else there. Then, fly to Aswan. Egypt Air, business class is less than 50 quid. See the Nubian Village, Old Market and bus to Abu Simbel. Then, every wedesday, the Nile Cruises depart to Luxor, arriving Saturday. Temples, Valley of the Kings. Enter the tombs. Bus to Hurghada through so,e pf the most desolate "Mordor" scenery. Great resorts there (Hilton is Awesome). Fly back to Cairo. The history, temples, seeing original paint thousands of years old on the monuments is breathtaking.

that sounds a good itinerary mate thanks for the suggestion.. am going to look into that 👍👍
Egypt is on our list wasnt really sure what else to do exactly outside of Cairo that all sounds great👍
