Im not so sure. I work at a bank and see lots of client's daughters and sons fall victim to this scam. They deposit bad checks not knowing it can bounce and see the money in the account and then take it out.

That depends on the amount of the check and your standing with the bank. Most checks take about 2-3 days to clear. If it's a large check it may take longer to clear, but they usually let you take a portion of the amount right away (again that depends on your standing with the bank and the bank's policy). Weird stuff going on with these young folks.
When JJ took her phone and called him:
Everybody: 👁️👄👁️ …👀….🫢..😬
You cannot tell me, the daughter did not know this was bogus.... making her complicit.
The girl sitting by the defenent was nervous when JJ made the call I was hoping her phone would ring😄
Banks has a 15 to 20 day waiting period for checks to clear....so, how can this happen when these fake checks did not clear..
That depends on the amount of the check and your standing with the bank. Most checks take about 2-3 days to clear. If it's a large check it may take longer to clear, but they usually let you take a portion of the amount right away (again that depends on your standing with the bank and the bank's policy). Hope that helped. 😊

That money is long gone, and mom will never see it again.
Wonder what she was deleting out her phone before she handed it over. JJ is usually faster than that. And don’t let them mess with it that long.
