I'm sorry but I'm an actual nerd and wilburs commentary about a bird staying on a tropical island and just never leaving is literally how Dodo birds evolved 💀and also the reason of their demise (sorry while I let out my inner Blathers) but the Dodo bird evolved from pigeons, they evolved on the island of Rodrigues where they flew and realized they had no worries and an over abundance of food. It was a literal haven for these birds no 🧢. So over the course of evolution dodo birds became massive yall. Like the size comparison in ACNH is pretty spot on since they were about 3 feet tall. But because they no longer had any worries on the island evolution really said let's downgrade you instead and took away their fight or flight reflex. So when the Dutch came and set up a trade post in the late 1500s they started hunting these poor birds that really didn't realize they were a threat until they were already dunzo. And quite honestly it wasn't even the Dutch people that caused the rapid extinction of the Dodo bird, it was more so their own dogs they brought along as they were not very domesticated and even attacked and ate people on occasion. The Dodo bird was first documented in 1662 and by 1690 they were extinct. Not because theyre dumb like media portrays but because they were literally too sweet and docile for their own good.

I actually enjoy seeing it unfold in real time rather than the time travel stuff, It's ok to see the new stuff right off the bat but I like the suspense
ive played the dlc WAYYY too much, but its honestly such a blast. i really enjoy interior and exterior design so this addition to the game made it genuinely realy enjoyable
As a heads up there is a glitch in the dlc it’ll be hopefully patched before the end of the month but til then. DO NOT, DO NOT redecorate a villagers home on your island while your airport gates are open it’ll glitch and very possibly delete your save file
I didn't even know that you could re decorate while the gates are open. But it's fine if your playing solo, no gates open, and not connected to wifi, yes?
@@destryedbyhippiepwrs Yes, I think while working on the dlc they forgot to add a barrier so that Nook would say something like you can’t decorate until airport gates are closed. But even then I’m probably gonna wait til it’s all fix, better safe than sorry.
If you already started decorating and think your gates are open, you can force quit your game and be okay. Don't leave the house or save. Just quit the game. But it is best to just not leave your gates open.
I'm giving all my island villagers a vacation home so if a villager I want comes to the campsite (shino just came 💜💜💜) I won't have to lose anyone cause I could just visit them there.

i really like how even though you have certain items to pool from when designing the vacation homes the only real limit is your imagination! The vacation home i did for eloise ended up totally different from what you did! Just so so cool to see how other people do stuff in the dlc.
I love Lottie so much! She’s way different than her uncle Lyle, whom I hope makes a return with Digby later on in the series. I really enjoyed decorating Eloise’s house. Niko is so cute! I think that Wardell is a manatee.

I'll be honest, when I saw you starting out I was thinking what you were thinking "this is not good designing", but then in the end it came out so well! That's pretty much how the game goes for me. I start out thinking things look terrible, but by the end I'm loving what I designed.

Ok so I really loved your design (even though we both used all the same items..the room my eloise got looks so different (a bit more blue, green, yellow and orange) but that one grey light switch that you forgot to move at the bottom of the corner in the room LMAO I did literally the same thing with her picture... I planned on putting it near her reading corner...but forgot and it was behind the bed (I placed the bed and kinda forgot the picture was there)
I have marshal on my island and he asked to move out today. I quickly looked up what his house looked like, saw that it wasn’t that nice, and said that he could move out
I'm also slightly upset that they waited so long to add all these features cuz like u said, it was planned all along, Gyroids, growing vegetables and cooking dishes achievements were there the whole time .......
I played lots of happy home designer so I'm happy we get this dlc. But I have to admit I'm absolutely missing the hhd menue especially for the outsides. It kinda feels a bit neglected if you try to decorate the exterior
It's totally worth it, if you enjoyed the original game it's just that but with 10× the extra features and more main game compatability than the original HHD

An extra $40 (my currency) for decorating extra houses; adding over 30 villagers and decorating their homes since you can't add them to your base island but still have the choice in seeing them, much more making them roommates, is definitely worth the money to some people. If you're not interested in this DLC and what it has to offer, don't buy it. Unless you're talking about the online package stuff, there is always the option to just buy the DLC separately and keep going with your original online plan.
You do know this is literally a remake plus WAYYY more of HHD which was 30 dollars making this cheaper than the original with more content plus if thus came out on its own it'd be 60$ and you know it

You can also make it faster paced by telling Lottie you want to work more. The designing is really fun, so I do that.

This dlc helped me decorate my own house in my island. At least with the added ceiling stuff to make a more realistic feel.

Make sure to invite Shino to your island before you meet her on the Happy Home Paradise because otherwise it won't work.
