On top of that his free ki flow at all times is set at one rate. In order for him to be stronger later needs to train. The idea is he can sustain SSJ1 forever just by his legendary ki influx. Meaning the stamina burn is largely mitigated. Not that he just grows in power. Anything past that is on his training to sustain.

I think the primary reason Broly lost was a result of over-confidence, Goku had to go through hardships from fight to fight to aquire his strength but Broly was naturally gifted & tasted inferiority at all, he had every reason to believe he'd win. Broly is personally one of my favourite characters from DBZ, the whole video just signifies so much subliminally, only way to really understand him is psychologically which most of the audience wont even understand..its why he's so amazing.
Nah, Broly lost because of sheer deux ex machina. They literally wrote themselves into a corner with him and had to have Goku one-shot him because they were down to like the last 5 minutes of the movie.
So just like how Vegeta lost to Goku, over confidence hell I think it fits towards any fight against goku the villain losses because of overconfidence.

It boggles my mind how many fans I see fail to understand this Broly’s behavior. I think it’s simple. Broly is, first and foremost, a Saiyan. The same kind of pureblood Saiyan as Goku and Vegeta that loves a fight on an instinct level. I’d argue this scene is just showing that even with the mind control device, on a subconscious level, Broly’s simply acting on his Saiyan instinct. Even in later appearances when he’s no longer being controlled, he’s not just some big, strong, and unintelligent guy.
