He’s a fucking maniac, he does it for the pleasure of it! Hello does a sentence like, “Kakarot, how much do you love your son?” give a hint!? It’s brilliant because he’s so god damn strong and a loose canon it makes him frightening. All the other Villains have restraints like Frieza will sit in his pod and let his men do the work, Cell waits at his arena, Buu is fused with other beings, but Broly no he’s a different story, the only restraint he has isn’t his own and once it’s gone everyone is.
I saw this as a kid when I was at a friends house this part of the fight felt hopeless I really thought it was over for them but coming back as an adult I appreciate the brutality so much in this movie

There's something unique about broly that I don't see in other DBZ villains. He reminds me of the joker. The madness, the strength and evil makes him the perfect Villain for goku above all else.

I don’t believe a lot of fans understand just how strong this Broly is. Broly is NOT a super Saiyan. He’s a LEGENDARY super Saiyan. It is completely different, unlearnable, genetically exclusive, and literally puts him in a class of his own. He was literally just born with it. The form is written to make Broly 9ft tall. Even at that height and tripling in muscle mass, he’s still as fast as ever. Further, it’s written to give him endless stamina and ki that also rises by the minute with no limit AND he still gets Zenkai boosts like ordinary Saiyans. Lastly, the only drawback the form has is the risk of losing control of yourself but we see in this movie has complete control of himself and is entirely aware of what he’s doing. Let this sink in. If this movie were canon it would’ve had to have occurred after Goku and Gohan leave the time chamber but BEFORE the Cell Games. In the final clash between Gohan and Cell, Cell readies a Kamehameha that he said could destroy the solar system. Do you realize the difference in his and Broly’s strength for Broly to be able to destroy an entire galaxy IN HIS BASE FORM AND FURTHER WEAKENED BY THE MIND CONTROL DEVICE, let alone leaving behind a trail of energy strong enough for Goku to sense in a separate galaxy? My point is, Broly only loses to plot. Literally the writers of Dragon Ball themselves have stated that this Broly is the strongest character in all of Z. Yes, even above Buu. I don’t believe a lot of fans understand just how strong this Broly is.
Broly is NOT a super Saiyan. He’s a LEGENDARY super Saiyan. It is completely different, unlearnable, genetically exclusive, and literally puts him in a class of his own. He was literally just born with it.
The form is written to make Broly 9ft tall. Even at that height and tripling in muscle mass, he’s still as fast as ever. Further, it’s written to give him endless stamina and ki that also rises by the minute with no limit AND he still gets Zenkai boosts like ordinary Saiyans. Lastly, the only drawback the form has is the risk of losing control of yourself but we see in this movie has complete control of himself and is entirely aware of what he’s doing.
Let this sink in. If this movie were canon it would’ve had to have occurred after Goku and Gohan leave the time chamber but BEFORE the Cell Games. In the final clash between Gohan and Cell, Cell readies a Kamehameha that he said could destroy the solar system. Do you realize the difference in his and Broly’s strength for Broly to be able to destroy an entire galaxy IN HIS BASE FORM AND FURTHER WEAKENED BY THE MIND CONTROL DEVICE, let alone leaving behind a trail of energy strong enough for Goku to sense in a separate galaxy?
My point is, Broly only loses to plot. Literally the writers of Dragon Ball themselves have stated that this Broly is the strongest character in all of Z. Yes, even above Buu. If you’re going to be one of those fans that disagrees with something that THE WRITERS OF THE PLOT THEMSELVES SAID then you’re the problem in the Dragon Ball fan community. Lol
