Teen Gohan didn’t fight to kill and always held back. That’s the whole plot of the cell games. Gohan holding back during the cell games is what caused goku a death. If Gohan would of went for the kill right away goku wouldn’t of had to transport cell.

He barely talks after fully transforming, the entire fight a total of like, 3 full sentences are said by him, and few words. He talks more in dubs compared to manga or JP subbed. Even then, he still doesn't say a lot. Goten and Trunks just never seemed to get that angry and goofed around too much. If anyone messed up the most out of any arc it would be those 2. But that's what happens when a grown man helps revive a monster and leaves him to fight two 1st graders. Possibly the dumbest decision Goku ever made.

Funny enough, I found the censored version in the anime more intimidating than him simply slicing them to bits. The implication that his blows are carrying so much energy it detonates his victims (and victim really is the right word it's so one sided.) sells how insane his power is effectively.

There are a few different versions, but I’m guessing the dub plus Japanese music is the English dub of DBZ Kai. They had stopped using the rock tracks by that point

@@sagekevo3285 Kai had the voice actors return to read a script more faithful to the manga, cut out a lot of filler material that wasn’t originally in the manga, and brings back the original Japanese score. There was some recolor-ing and redrawn animation cels that might’ve been unnecessary, but otherwise DBZ Kai is a more faithful and, in my opinion, superior adaptation of the DBZ source material. Many fans disliked the replacement of gohan’s original voice actor and dropping the American score by Bruce Faulconer, but I would say watch both Kai and Z to inform your own opinion.
