It cannot be hindered by anything, because God watches, that it may follow the law of the Spirit of life. "Whether he sleeps by night or stays awake by day: the seed sprouts and grows without his knowing how." Once the sower has entrusted his seed to the earth, he has nothing more to do. From now on the earth must do its part; and it does if it receives rain, sunshine and a breeze. But these things do not hang on the earth. They come from the Giver of all things. Thus the sprouting of the seed and its growth, follows its course.

If the seed of God's kingdom (God's dominion - His way of being) is in a heart, it will become clearer as time goes on. The seed grows unceasingly - day and night - without any human effort. Even in the night of the fall, the seed of God's kingdom works in the born-again man. Where there is birth, there is also growth, and where there is growth there is fruit. So also with the new birth: where there is truly birth, growth follows, and growth is seen by all around. The born-again man becomes more and more like the Lord Jesus in his thinking, speaking, living and working. So to be a Christian is to live like Jesus. (1 John 2:6). There are not many kinds of Christians, but only one kind: true Christians, and they resemble the Lord Christ because they are born again of God. Formalist Christians are not Christians. A loaf of (painted) form is not bread: no one can feed on it.
