      I just finished mine, and the truth is I fit quite well and cost me only a few dollars. I'll try to make a 1/4 "metal version soon.

    I'd already made one of these before i watched your vid mainly for reverse hypers (hadnt thought of half of your uses tho!) but it's not as as pro looking. I drilled 2 holes equaly distanced apart so I could use it as a double landmine station (using 2 single landmines). I folded around one of those cheap foam gym tiles , placed seating foam on top of that, then duct taped around that so the seat foam stays attched to the floor tile. These can then slide up and down the plank depneding on where it's needed, but if in the centre both landmine holes are accesible.

    This is straight gold! Fantastic work! 1 question, how'd you measure the 2nd hole (angled) to make the adjustment?

    • @KaizenDIYGym
      @KaizenDIYGym  3 года назад +1

      Thank you so much! I did the same thing as the other holes - I held the wood up to the rack and drew it on with pen. You could also try clamping it on the rack so it doesn’t move around. The important thing is making sure the bottom hole is properly aligned when marking the angled hole. Hope this helps!

    • @cheunit007
      @cheunit007 3 года назад +1

      @@KaizenDIYGym I meant the 3rd hole haha, that you can change the angle on. Sorry for the confusion haha.

    • @KaizenDIYGym
      @KaizenDIYGym  3 года назад +1

      Yeah man, I held it up to the rack at an angle with the bottom hole aligned and marked where the angled hole should go. Just like on the other holes. You don’t want the holes too close together, just to be safe. But yeah, it was a visual guesstimation.

    Great invention. However, there is only a matter of time before the wood will split at the attachment side. Consider reinforcing with thin metal sheets that takes up the torque.

    • @KaizenDIYGym
      @KaizenDIYGym  2 года назад +1

      It’s been almost two years now and it is not yet showing signs of splitting. If things change I’ll reinforce.

      @@KaizenDIYGym Just remember you might get as lucky with any signs. Worst case is face plant in places you don't want your face to be.

    Great build, Your 13.5 inch pieces look like you trimmed the end(there's no point at the 60 degree angle cut). Was that done before or after you cut it to 13.5?

    • @KaizenDIYGym
      @KaizenDIYGym  3 года назад +1

      Good question, I should have specified in the video. It is 13.5 inches total after the end is trimmed. I just measured mine and that’s how long it is. So I guess, do the angle cut first and then trim the pointy end. It doesn’t have to be super accurate.

    Hi. Nice build. Just want to ask how tall you are because there is very little clearance between your head and the rack and I might have to adjust the measurements to accommodate me being 6'3". Thanks.

    • @KaizenDIYGym
      @KaizenDIYGym  3 года назад +1

      Yes, good call. That’s something I forgot to mention in my earlier videos. I’m 5’7” so you will need to make adjustments to the design to accommodate your height.

      I don’t really have a way to test max weight capacity, but anecdotally I can tell you my neighbor and I use mine every week. He weighs 215 pounds and does rows using two 45 pound dumbbells. It is solid as a rock.
