Hey Holly! Welcome back! I like your philosophy of not wasting anything. We are sympatico on that point. It was nice that you had someone to look over your patch while you were gone. My wife and I love NZ and understand how hard it would be to come back. Do you think that you would ever grow grapes in your garden? I am trying to decide...my wife loves table grapes and I love wine grapes (which you wouldn't want to eat). Thank you for all the effort that you put into your brilliant videos. Cheers!

Can't wait to see the harvest. I guess you could do lots of microgreens with all those seeds. Maybe dehydrated green powder to add to smoothies and cooking, kimchi, freezing spinach for quiche and pie??? Definitely a lot of greens 😁

Just discovered your channel and am enjoying watching. I would love to see a wide angle another of your front yard gardens. I'm trying to get brave and do more in my front yard but am concerned about my more snooty neighbors complaining about what it looks like. Yours loos lovely from I can tell.

Just do it Beth! I used to have my front yard as my veggie patch and I also had my chickens there. The neighbours didn’t mind at all and so many people walking past would just stop for a chat and see,Ed as excited about my garden as I was! I know live rurally and have once again have a veggie patch

@@lindaellin559 thanks for the encouragement. We live in the city in Texas. We had a horrible drought this summer amd most of my front lawn died anyway. So I got brave and dug two pumpkin pits in the middle of it and planted a pumpkin and a butternut squash. The heat killed the pumpkin before it could get going but the squash is huge and beautiful, so I added a summer squash too. I can't figure out a way to share a picture but I would if I could. We are entering fall soon. Any suggestions for what to plant after the squash? Zone 9b

@@BethOvertonCPMmidwife you could plant brassicas going into winter or lettuce or spinach perhaps! I have a RUclips channel- you can check out my winter garden Huttons Valley Permaculture!
Maybe you could put in some perennial plantings like globe artichokes, strawberries and asparagus to create a more permanent bed in some spots to keep neighbours happy!!?
