Nice garden you have there good foods ❤❤❤
For a moment I wondered if it was the Kiwi fruit I've heard about but never seen - a feijoa. ETA: I looked this up to check the spelling & found out (a) I'd spelled it wrong ('fejoa'), (b) this is definitely not one and (c) a feijoa is from Brazil, not NZ.
I thought they were persimmons 🇺🇸
They do have a similar look for sure! But taste very different 🤣
@ yep
That was first thing I thought too. Fun trying to guess 😊
So nice that there's someone in Perth running a channel like this. Such a different climate to grow produce in.
I've always read and have heard the best time to pick a pumpkin is when the vine has completely died down. What is your view on this method? I have planted both QLD Blue & Butternut pumpkins, 4 seedlings growing in a separate bed.
That's a good tip about staking where the root ball is 👍😃
Same here in Cape Burney. We're on to our 2nd Ozito. Takes time, but so worth making your own mulch
Being in WA and having the same soil, I would dearly love to see what plants you grow for mulching, Please :).
Would love to hear what you grow to make green mulch
Mulchers are the bane of my life (along with cultivators) I keep buying them and they either break down or dont work as they should. Yours seems to do the job, what brand is it?
I think I saw ginger Lilly in your garden. That produces great mulch material.
Perth gardener here. I do exactly the same. I started about 4 years ago w a small ozito shredder and it’s been a game changer. I get the bougainvillea from the neighbour and compost that down over months. I use everything I can find on my own property and no longer use the green verge collection. Gotta say it’s time consuming but sooo worth it
So good 👏
Yes please
Where do you buy your minnows from? I'm also in perth. Thank you in advance ❤
I got them from the pond shop in Midvale but I'm sure many would have them 😊
Also, I only bought 3 and they had babies haha
Hi Holly, what are your thoughts on wicking beds? Tia ❤
I learn so much from you. Thank you, Holly.
Thank you! Always appreciate your Support 😊
Absolutely yes, I gotta hear those frogs please!
Absolutely want to hear!
Your pond is inspiring
Yes of course i wanna hear it
Love it!🤗❤️
Woohoo! Hopefully, the neighbors have ponds for them to visit too. Nice video.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Congrats! Your pond is beautiful and the tadpoles are so cute! We would love to see them grow. :)
Here in the states, herons like to hang out in backyards and eat frogs and fish out of small ponds. My father in law had to put netting over everything. If you have any predatory birds keep an eye out😊
Looks great, all i have is disgusting toads here in SE QLD
How amazing. Congrats on all the tadpoles. Very cool 😎
Hey Holly Happy new year. Pond is looking brilliant! Thanks for the tip im having buy fish food for tadpoles that grew in our pool over winter. Managed relocate a lot locally and finally made lil pond. Going share zuchinni n cucumber with them now. 👍for frog noise be fun to hear🐸
Happy New Year! I'm sure they will love it! They are little food monsters!
Chamomile is toxic to dogs. Please do your research on plant toxicity before recommending to pet owners
with the amount of seedling you bought instead of germinating your own, we should call you unsustainable holly
Hi Holly, thanks for all the videos. When putting the pineapple top in water for 3/4 weeks, does it need full sun? Or is the full sun needed once you've potted it?
Great show Holly. Would love to replay some of your shows on my online radio station The 101 Connection, with your permission of course. Thanks Michael
you're in perth? it feels like i spoke with you before and you showed me your garden but i dont remember going to perth. are you some sort of commoner? like really common? everywhere?
💗
We have them at our home i never ate them
I eat the seeds to get my B-17 Laetrile levels up read World Without Cancer By Edward G Griffin
Recently learned that if you don’t harvest some turmeric they flower the second year ❤😂 love your videos.
Great videos Holly - esp. your grafting passionfruit one. One other thought - If you are growing plants with invasive roots in pots (not just passionfruit - eg. raspberries), make sure the base is elevated with at least a few cm clearance off the ground (eg. use bricks). The air-gap will generally prune any roots before they get down into the soil and become a problem.
Greetings from Africa you are doing great God bless you 🎉
Great info! This had unlocked my interest in passionfruit again, after having a nightmare invasive one at a rental that grew through my bedroom wall 😱
Amazing info thanks 😊
I have watched this video a couple times. I do have a place where a neighbors tree shades it some dappled. But I found that I could grow my coffee plant in shade that it’s better when they are…excited cause I do see new growth been about a month now ❤ love your videos I live in Florida 10b.

Thank you for the info I’m trying to grow a couple mango seeds it’s been a week or so nothing. I’ll try covering it❤ I recently heard someone talk about Rollie pollies you call them slaters I’ve not tried this. She said cut into a radish and lay it in your plants it has to be cut. They supposedly love them and they gather there. just get rid of them and throw the radish back in your plant to catch more😂
That looks like some little leaved water fern floating on the top …. Bit like a pond weed/duck weed…. Watch out as it’s a grower (and invasive …) Look it up!
Great idea with the fish tank. I have seen people repurpose BBQs with the glass front in them as miniature greenhouses too.
who built your garden beds?
I actually don't know 😅 I got them from an elderly gentleman making them from home
@@SustainableHolly Hi Holly...thanks for answering. is he still making them? I'm a 67 y/o lady whose partner recently passed so constructing raised beds myself would be challenging & don't have male relatives. I live in Perth (Redcliffe) and would like to put something like this in my garden
Very cool idea! I am from the other WA 😃
🤗🌱
