I love NOBO. They sound like a Japanese psych-rock band on it for some reason. I'm an expert skier and when I play NOBO in my earbuds I literally dance on skis to the chill groove of this song. It's hard to explain but it's wonderful.
I don't ever comment on videos, ever, but holy fuck give these guys there flowers, these guys are EXTREMELY underrated, this is my modern day favorite band, the music they produce is insane ❤
"Thanks pal" these hombres sound very wholesome n sincere...Great sound as you don't find many 3 piece bands that in a whole have great singing qualities. Drumming n singing, tough gig but you got it..plus the look...You have a striking resemblance of Matt Cameron of Temple of the Dog\Soundgarden\PJ. Imo...Best band in the states. Burgerama 2015 bound...can't wait.
I think it's cool to have 3 different singers and each have their own solo vocal songs. Gives a bit of variety to their catalog. I'm sure each person prefers a diff. style as well which is shown in the music itself.
The drummer reminds me of a cross pollination of Steve Albini and Mark Mothersbaugh. He has that kind of intensity. I just wanna hear him on all lead vocals though
This is another example of a band I heard of a zillion times but never cared to listen to because I hated the name, but once I ended up listening to I loved.
regis touny To me the bands have very similar sounds, that same tense, energetic sound. Many differences of course. And I consider joy division a garage band, albeit a depressing one. Anyways just a difference of opinion. Black lips are also great
Walter Lansing This might be a bit late, but BOSS have a Fender 1963 Reverb pedal, and that has a great surfy tone. Only tried it on my bass, but nonetheless sounds pretty authentic.
Walter Lansing If you want some distortion on it I'd recommend using the Fender Reverb one I said and the BOSS Distortion or Turbo Distortion pedal together
I copy pasted this part of an interview with them for you: 'Tell me about Max Baker-the guy you named your last album after. PS: He was my neighbor who lived across the street from the house I grew up in. I used to talk to him almost every day, mostly in passing, about what he was up to and how his day was going. He was kinda quiet at first but as time went on he started telling me stories about when he was younger and the trouble he would get into going down to Tijuana. He has a hole in his throat now from smoking. He worked in a liquor store on the peninsula in Long Beach and we named the band after this panther he gave me from Tijuana that I still have to this day. It’s a black porcelain panther from the 60s. I have it on my mantle.'
+BillyPilgrim observing that a lot of Mexicans are brown isn't racist. A little poorly worded maybe but saying it's racist makes it sound like being brown has negative connotations lol.
Performance was great, host was great, sandwich I just ate was great.

Walter Lansing This might be a bit late, but BOSS have a Fender 1963 Reverb pedal, and that has a great surfy tone. Only tried it on my bass, but nonetheless sounds pretty authentic.

Nobbo sounds a bit like pixies but different at the same time. Good
Can anyone tell me what guitar Chad is using? it's beautiful
It's a Fender Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster signature model.
thanks!
Chad is playing either a fender jazzmaster or fender jaguar, i always confuse the two
I thought they were brown
+TheJammal1 Dumb fucking racist
BillyPilgrim Im brown, dumbass
TheJammal1 So? You're still assuming mexicans are just brown. Which is not true.
+BillyPilgrim what? Pretty sure that's what you just did
+BillyPilgrim observing that a lot of Mexicans are brown isn't racist. A little poorly worded maybe but saying it's racist makes it sound like being brown has negative connotations lol.
Honestly they sound better live
