I am really starting to get a picture of the routes on Penwithers with all the wide shots and cab rides from your latest videos. Thanks Kevin. .................John
Great stuff Kevin. That was most enjoyable. I'm sorry I missed you at Warley, I was close as I did spend a few minutes at the Model Scenery stand and spoke with Justin and Iain there. What a great two days that was, my ears are still ringing! lol. David.
Just WoW!!! I wanna steal your trains!!! It must have taken years to collect all the trains and build that landscape, you could charge admission to see that!!
@@kevintregunna Good job you gave up smoking and invested the money in rail, the rolling stock along must have cost you thousands. I seen them on websites if you want a certain train you can spend big money on them, I was eyeballing not only the ones on the track, but the trains you have on shelves above the track. The only thing I found wrong with your layout and it's not really wrong until you do the ride in the cab videos, in the tunnels there is nothing, you need to add something in there like a scene of railway workers or tunnel walls, I know it is easy for me to say and it might be a bastard to get to, but I thought the layout you have took you over 10 years or more, so well done!!
Just been six years so far and am very lucky a lot is second hand so picked up for less than half price some were non runners usually a bit of cleaning and a strip down and good as new
@@kevintregunna There's nothing wrong with second hand if you can get them working again and I suppose if you couldn't you could use them as static models. I should have kept all those hornby and liama train sets I had as a kid.
i've been making my way through your videos and all i can say is WOW. What an insperation, i have tried building a model railway several times. Unfortunatly things being what they are ive moved several times, till now. ive been getting some ideas from your layout and trying to get something outlined. to give me some perspective what is the overall size of your layout. My garage is 5.5 meters long and 5 meters wide. i have room to extend the length if needed. im basing my period around the fifties and steam. i love the way youre layout has several layers and makes the most of the room you have available. Any help would be much appreciated. Paul
Hi Paul thanks for the comments the room is about 26 foot x15 foot and the main advice I would give if you use setback bends don’t use anything less than a 3 rd radius and if possible make nice long sweeping bends If I was starting over there is a lot of things I would change I tried to cram in too much in the area i had I need to be agile to get into some of my spaces to clean track and if I have a derailment you can guess it is always in an awkward space But it has given me a lot of fun over the last 6 years ! So good luck with your new area I would love to have a blank canvass and start again Cheers Kevin
Slower speed much appreciated. Gives an opportunity to fully appreciate the excellent layout and scenes. Many thanks.
