- We take a look at the new Fell locomotive fitted with sound not the best of runners out of the box needed a bit of adjustments to pick ups ,also not very detailed instructions about how if you didnt follow the start up procedure it would not move
but with a bit of adjustment it came good in the end

Nice, I have a green one on the way. Its good to see what to expect in terms of running issues from the box. The pick ups seem to be a problem with them all.

New camera's done the trick. We ummed and arred about the fell for a long time, but it's too far out of the interest range. I'm enjoying yours...but glad we passed! ATB, Andy.
Thanks Andy I am bonding with the fell now got it running nicely adjusting the pick ups made a big difference
Were did they obtain a sound profile for this very old and short lived loco?.
I presume they made a generic sound
You probably need to examine/adjust your pick-up. The Fell seems to arrive with mal-adjusted contacts!
I did that and yes made all the difference running well now
Hi Kevin, did you see Jenny Kirk tips on adjusting the pick ups on the fell a couple of days ago might help you I wish I never bought mine a lot better locos to spend my money on cheers Al

Yes KR have had some pretty poor feedback on these, it's not right at all, it really needs bogie pickups some have pinched some off Hornby model spares and transplanted them on to the Fell, and it has helped, I know Jenny Kirk has been mentioned but the thing is.... we shouldn't have to do this... A few are worried regarding an orders and what they actually might receive I've Ordered Leader and I have to say so far we aren't impressed. They just haven't done the research... and won't accept help, unfortunately I expect KR won't last.
