Your garden is so peaceful and a joy to observe. I garden in Akron OH zone 6b. It's been an early growing season here and my roses are past their first bloom. It was way too quick! My lavender is starting to bloom. Thanks for reminding us about the garden chores that need doing. I'll be deadheading my rhododendron today!
You have a beautiful garden - thank you for sharing with us! USA here - I'm just starting to garden with our native flowers but enjoy looking at your lovely plants!
Hi Marta, in Finland we have also had an extremely warm May and everything is flowering at the same time, early and the flowering has been shorter than usual. So really weird weather here too! Not to mention the mosquitos, who all came out at the same time 😫😖 Your garden is a constant source of inspiration and information, THANK YOU!
June here in the UK is looking much like May, intermittently wet and mild, but we have had some welcome sunshine at last. My plants are not as far on as yours and because of the wet season we are having real trouble with slugs and snails!🐌 the garden is now hitting it’s stride with roses blooming, the smaller salvias starting to flower and nepeta blooming well. Thank you for your videos - I love seeing how your garden is growing.
Zone 6B in Rhode Island here. It’s been a very warm spring with moderate rainfall. My Endless Summer Hydrangeas didn’t bloom last year but this year are covered with forming heads. The Nelly Moser clematis was a wall of gorgeous, completely covering my 7’obelisk. The foxgloves that are ringing it take my breath away. It’s the first time I’ve successfully grown them. It was a great year for peonies and Sweet William but there are little bugs decimating my Phlox and I never have luck with my hollyhocks. Sweet Peas are now 2feet high and just starting to bloom. My roses- well I’ve killed nearly seven shrubs over the past 3 years so I need to take some classes on them. 😂
Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden with us. Here in Virginia, zone 7b, we have had a lot of rain and warm temperatures. My garden, like yours is blooming out of the normal time. I am not certain what will be let in bloom by July. Gardening is always full of surprises. 😅
Hello from Atlanta Georgia US. Weather is mild spring. Should be an interesting summer coming in a few weeks. I love your segments/channel. A true joy you are.
My Diana’s Delight (Lavender colored) Clematis + my Lavender colored Siberian Irises are blooming amongst the really full hosta’s. Up front my purple Salvia are blooming + I noticed that I have very light pink Lilacs that are still blooming as well. *We’re here in southern Minnesota Zone 4b - it has been very wet & windy by us….
Yes Marta here in West Virginia USA we’ve had same weather ! I’ve gardened 50 years and never have my roses lavender etc bloomed this early! Mother Nature 🤨
So beautiful! I'm actually only planting today as the nights were still going down to 4c. So will plant up some greenhouse plants I bought and will direct sow some cosmos, nasturtium and lavatera. Nothing is blooming here in my garden yet except the dandelions lol. I may need to get another clematis as I don't know if mine survived the winter (I hope it did!). I have to say I don't know who does your filming but the close up of the flowers and the clarity of the video is so good!
I can't wait for your videos to come out, enjoy your garden so much! We are in Georgia, USA and waiting for my roses to bloom for the second time. Sweet peas, big leaf hydrangeas, oak leaf hydrangeas are all in bloom.
I’m here on the east coast of the U.S.(Maryland), and it has been quite rainy and cool this spring, with plenty of just beautiful days mixed in. Can’t complain, plants seem happy and lush!😊. Although some plants show signs of being stressed from too much water. I have a lot of larkspur blooming beautiful right now…do you ever grow larkspur? It is a biannual, I believe, so it takes a couple years to bloom. Mixed in with rose campion, it’s just gorgeous!😊. Love all your salvia!❤
I'm in Kamloops, BC, Canada, which is usually known for being very hot very early, but we have actually had below average temperatures. Very unusual. But the above 30 temps are coming soon enough, so I'm enjoying it. :)
I love the Foxglove. Vladimir would enjoy eating a whole bunch, don't you think? The garden is beautiful, and Marta is a gracious, lovely and peaceful host. Thank you very much for sharing your garden.
Once again, I have enjoyed your beautiful garden tour! In Vancouver, we have had a very cool and rainy May. The mornings have had well below ten degrees Celsius temperatures! No roses are open yet in my garden. I look forward to warmer temperatures but not too hot!
My lettuce went to seed too, I'll try to save some seeds for next year.😄 I don't have much flower in the garden yet, only a few are blooming like lavender and marygold, but we have some bees on them and I enjoy it a lot. The zinnias are growing nicely in the pots. Just bought 4 petunias in the market to put in the window yesterday. I started gardening this year and your videos are very inspiring! Thank you!❤ Cheers from Hungary
Wunderful Garden, Thank you to show us this Tipps. I live close to Zürich in Switzerland. We have cold and very wet Weather. I think from next Week it will change. Hope so
I’m in love with your garden is so beautiful you have done and amazing job with your garden I will love to have a garden like than is so stunning thanks for sharing that beauty❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Adore your garden ❤ I'd love a video on recommendations on how to design a garden like yours. It's so overwhelming when you are first starting and your ward is a complete mess. I tried to come up with something this summer but it's a total fail.
Here in zone 7b North Carolina United States, we are also experiencing everything blooming at one time. On June first, I had fall blooming Aster in full bloom, along with Oriental Lily in bloom both so early. And with the spring Anemone and Dutch Iris still blooming! Crazy weather. I am concerned everything will be bloomed out by August this year. I just purchased 95 more lily bulbs and put in the ground in hopes of having something in bloom this fall, since most of my lilies that were planted two years ago, are about done blooming at the first week in June.
Hello Martha. Thank you again for another video. I love all you are doing in your garden. Could you pls give us some tips about snails and slugs. What do you do about them? Do you as well search them at night and take them away from the garden or do you have some other creative ideas? Xx
Omg, so much beauty to feast my eyes on! I absolutely adore those pale foxgloves ~ are they Sutton’s Apricot by any chance? Your roses are magnificent, Martha!
Thank you for amazing video! It’s winter here in Australia. Where I live sub tropical Brisbane is good for day time because it’s not that cold as Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart. My fav Mexican marigolds are blooming like a queen. 💓🙏
Your garden is beautiful. Would love to have an idea of the layout. I’ve planted yews, feligronde roses - which I’m loving! Cosmos, zinnia, and propogated autumn joy. What were the beautiful tall plants behind your foxgloves?
Oh Marta your flowers are beautiful! Here in northern Italy it has been raining for weeks and the flowers bloom and immediately wither, but worst of all we are invaded by slugs and snails that are devastating my hostas and echinaceas...What do you do to control these pests? Your plants look perfect! 😊❤
I live in Michigan USA. We are 2-3wks ahead of schedule. Very hot in the 90's now with heavy rainfall. Love your garden, if you know please what is the name of the foxglove, it's so pretty. Thank you
Hi Marta, I am from London and we have had an usually wet and cool May this year. Everything is lush but my plants are not flowering as much as there has not been enough sun for them to energises.
Love your videos…I’m in Pittsburgh, PA, and we’ve had a crazy spring so far with very hot temps followed by days and days of rain and now very cold temps in the 40’s at night. As a result I’ve already got black spot on my roses (I’ve got 140 roses, most of which are shut roses and climbers). So frustrating. You mentioned you had some humidity where you are but I notice your roses are spectacular with no hint of disease. What’s your secret??
Garden is looking beautiful Marta! Love the combo purple and white annual pots. Do you have drip irrigation through out the whole garden like where your lady's mantle is? It just looks so healthy .
Yes, we have almost whole garden covered. This year even the pots got their own drip. We had rain only three times in May(def not normal) so I am really happy we have it!
Good morning, Marta. I garden in Connecticut. High humidity is an everyday experience all through the growing season. You mentioned that you also have high humidity. How to you grow such incredible roses in the humidity? Do yo preemptively spray a copper fungicide on a regular basis? I know you practice good hygiene, cleaning under the roses, and sterilizing tools. Do you deal with canker? Wish I could serve you a cup of tea and chat all things roses.
Hi Marta, do you start your lunaria from seed? I've heard they can be winter sown. I don't have a greenhouse, so I'm not sure when to get them started.
Love your garden,I have a problem mosaic virus in my garden bed, lots of plant are suffering, but I don't want to remove them, anyone have solution. Please guide me. Thanks
