    Are you more interested in Ed or Akuma next as DLC characters?

    Good to know since he's popular.
    Jinrai seems tough. Maybe just block low & react to overhead. Or hope you get the perfect parry.
    H. Dragonlash- yeah, saw in another vid that DI can work.
    I don't main Ryu, but learned safejumps, thankfully. Fun vid.

    just a quick note: even tho the low and the overhead followups of jinrai are 6f and 18f respectively, keep in mind that they can be delayed quite heavily so the gap isnt as big as it would just by buffering the followups.
    Great vid tho ^^

      There do not exist perfect solution for jinrai, it is a very cheap rsp game ken got, he has the initiative

    • @cerdi_99
      @cerdi_99 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@computervision557 if you have a fast and big reversal (like guile's OD flash kick), it'll win against every jinrai option except heavy jinrai > low bc it's a true blockstrings (and thus it won't even come out) or heavy jinrai > wait bc it's safe.
      It's a good way to stop it if you can afford the meter use and can keep him away for a while until u recover it

    Hey buddy I appreciate the effort in the video but a couple of things:
    1. Lk jinrai into low follow-up can be interrupted.
    2. LK and MK jinrai low follow ups can be PPed very very easily. The hk version has no gap.
    3. Finally, when it comes to punishing jinrais, just the frame data isn’t going to paint a full picture, spacing is vital, the low follow-ups can be -5/-7 yes but after optimal block strings, he’ll end up in a range where you cannot punish. None of the good/decent kens are going to do TC into jinrai and stay right next to you.

    26 startup frames is NOT the perfect startup to react with DI, especially when a great chunk of them are similar to his crouch animation and there is no distinct visual or audio on the first frames like DI itself has. You have about 15-20 frames to react with DI and if you manage to react you will be able to get baited extremely easily, and we all know how hard DI baits go.
    Perfect parry works but if missed Ken is +1/+2 and if it works you get a scaled combo, it is sometimes the best you can do if you react too late but there are better and more consistent options.
    So what do you do when you are on burnout? Give up and let Ken take free +5/+6 from half a screen away or try to use reversal super to risk losing super meter AND getting punished for a lot of damage + cornered + staying on burnout + free stun for Ken since you wasted super...
    Best option most of the time will be to interrupt him with a fast move that hits High or Mid (he dodges Lows), for example most character's cr.MP and since he is in Forced Knockdown juggle state you can even do a combo on him but keep in mind he is airborne (lab with your character). In most characters I can think of right now cr.MP into a special into lvl3 will combo but different characters have different answers to it. Also doing no combo is not bad, you still get the Forced Knockdown anyway, so you can just focus on the oki and practice a combo some other day.
    Another option you have is to use an anti-air invincible move like Shoryuken but of course this is risky. I recommend this if you play something like Guile and on certain ranges, like if you are outside of Ken's HK range and he is cornered because you can react to: 1) Early forward jump 2) Neutral jump 3) Back jump 4) All dragonlash versions and maybe even 5) wiffs with the same thing, Flash Kick. It is still risky but most of those things make Ken go airborne and are punished by the same option so you can just react to Ken leaving the ground without needing to process how he is doing it, though keep in mind the more you focus on it the easier it gets for ken to just walk to you, poke with cr.MK, Drive Rush in and get pressure.
    These options also work on other gap closing specials such as Marisa's Phalanx, Blanka's Rolling Attack (though in his case Perfect Parry might be the best option since he goes quite fast) and Chun Li's Hazanshu.
    Bonus fact: In Chun Li's case you have another option, to use anti-low attacks such as Ryu's Senpukyaku (6HK). This looks weird but it works since Chun Li has a hitbox only after reaching you and the hitbox is in the ground, so you can treat it as a Low (even though it is an overhead) and it might even lead to a better punish.

      LMAO! Best way to play against those players are just a little defensive than usual. If they like to wakeup DP try to bait it out and block. Or if they DP after a normal that's - just respect it instead of going for a punish

    • @DarkSynth
      @DarkSynth  9 месяцев назад

      Just take what I show in the lab with Kimberly. These anti guides are mainly just showing you character's frame data and what moves are punishable. Some moves Ryu can punish Kimberly may not be able to. It's also very spacing dependent on some moves.
