I feel like for once Im finally learning the actual "hows" of designing the hair details. Most hair tutorials don't really give me an idea of why they do they spacing and sizes they do, but only cover the general tips and speak in "feeling language" that really only makes sense to someone who already knows what do. Thank you for this!
Bless you for this, rendering and drawing hair is one of my most difficult things to do 😭. I'mma have to set aside time to study all of your vids, cause they're a treasure. Thank you 🥹
Oh gosh, I am happy to hear this! For me the sketch and lineart was the most complicated, so I enjoy rendering the most^^ I hope it could provide some insight in that matter :3
Thank you so much Kuroshiro for breakdown the diff hair strands. I haven't seen anyone else drawn it out step by step and then give examples of how diff hair strands can be combined to make everything come together.
Im so emotional right now. 🥺 I tried drawing hair for years. Watched many many videos. Most of them either speed ran through it or just used one black colour to do everything. It was so helpful to see where to erase and join the strands and your use of a different colour to do the details helped to understand how they are layering.. Im gone cry now 🥹
YOU ARE A LIFESAVER! I was struggling with my artstyle so much i wanted to quit art as a whole! thank God i found ur channel before i was completely burnt out :D Im gonna be starting my study of ur artstyle tomorrow
I am so for real that you have finally made drawing hair click for me. It's something I've struggled with as I always get lost in all of the strands but literally the 5 styles of strands, then mixing them together is so so helpful. Thank you so much!
I was actually about to look up how to paint hair and this came on at the perfect time!! i love how you draw all of your characters aaaah i just love your art style💗💗makes me wanna steal it👹🔪
Thank you so much for showcasing different types of strands and how you combine them! This is such a game-changer, every other video I've come across only talks about sections of hair and where it originates on the head, and yes-- while it's important, it can only take you so far. I've always been wondering if there were some sort of logic to strands and how other artists seem to freestyle them so easily, and this answers so many of my questions. Once again, thank you for the great tutorial!
Aw I am happy to hear! I love following a basic pattern I can apply to the majority of my work. It speeds up my drawing process. Especially when it's something logical. So thanks a lot for your feedback and comment :) I am glad it provides some help! :)
Love the subtitles! Love the music! Love the editing! LOVE YOUR DRAWINGS! It's been so long since I've finished an art tutorial without skipping a second! Thank you so much for this! The way you showcase your process is really clear and satisfying!
Thank you so much for your tutorials! I've learned a lot from watching them. This one is another great one, especially because of all the examples you show. Also love your artstyle, editing and BGM choices
Wow, this was, by far, the most straightforward and useful video I have ever seen on RUclips. Most of the time, I get confused with where and why they add those crescent-shaped strands on some parts of the hair, mostly 'cause they never even explained. I'm a beginner, by the way, but thanks for adding every single piece of info I actually needed in order to grow more as an artist! Great video!!!
this is such a helpful video! also i really like how you got around the clicking sound bothering some people but still using something to signal that theres text on the screen:)
Yeah lol I thought that it's just such an important thing of my videos that I don't want to get rid of it. And seriously, I tried. Downloaded other people's clicking sounds, tried different sounds and so on but the og mouse click is unbeatable haha
I've been drawing for a long time now and never had I ever thought of using anime wigs as reference for drawing simplified hair lol that's a super tip!!
aaa, thank you! i love your artstyle. but also on top of that, you break down how to get the hair looking light and flowy, simplifying it so that way it's easy to understand. thank you!
This is amazing to hear! I am glad the process was understandable :) I am always thinking of what information I would need in order to draw. So I try to structure the videos based on that ^^
bro you really saved me, drawing hair is the most difficult thing to me mostly bc of the strands (I doesn't know how to make a good looking one) and this really saved me, tysm for making a such good video!!
Wow, that's amazing to hear! Have fun^^ I always love trying out new things and see if they are working, and even if not, maybe there's something to take from for your own personal process ^^
this was such a comprehensive breakdown of how to draw hair. i've really been struggling recently, but i feel like this has opened a new doorway for me ;v;
Thank you so much for this 😭I was literally struggling on hair and had to search up a few tutorials lately, and you came out with this!!! No longer have to look anywhere else!!!!!
Haha thanks that amazing to know ^^ I try to make my videos understandable and easy to follow. Sometimes I don't know if general tutorials like this are more helpful than when I use one illustration and show my entire process from start to end
Thank you very much. The information I learn from your videos is like a gem. I can say that your videos are the most informative and complete RUclips videos in the field of digital art❤❤❤❤
I'll tell you, drawing on mobile is the hardest thing of all, making hair look "hard" and well done is an almost impossible mission, part of the hair rendering is even more difficult. That's why I saved this video to watch over and over again!
IMPRESSIVE, love this rendering process. i've always struggling with this kind of hair rendering back then. till i meet this guide. the combined hair strands fundamentals 1:55 is really helped me a lot of new ways to draw hairs.
I am so happy to know that especially this part was helpful. I love basic instructions which are easy and clear so I thought this part is new to other hair tutorials ^^
I think I finally found the tutorial that will actually help me to improve my hair drawing skill. Thank you so much for sharing all this content ! You are an amazing artist =)
this is the most helpful "how to video" i have ever found thank you so much for posting this! I don't know why but this clicked so much, compared to other vidoes.
Oh thanks! Usually I don't like to name my videos 'how to' as if that's the only valid way of doing this. I prefer to call it 'my way of...' Or "how I draw..." But I am glad you think it's useful :)
Thank you so much for this!!! Hair is something I've always struggled with, but your tips seriously helped things click with me! Especially the "Hair Fundamentals" section where you show off the possible shapes and combining them! 🙏
I am glad it could help you! I was thinking of my go to shapes u always draw when it comes to hair. So I thought a small collection of these would be helpful :)
I finally had the time to try out this tutorial after numerous attempts on trying to draw good hair (each attempt failed). THIS IS THE HAIR ART STYLE IVE ALWAYS WANTED 😭😭😭 I am so satisfied with the finished product that I’m disappointed that I gave my character an extremely boring look , BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH!! 🎉❤ one step closer to my dream artstyle!!
Thank you so much for the informative video!! Hair is such a struggle for me and this was very useful, it’s always so satisfying to watch your process. Your work is so detailed, I absolutely love your art style! I love it when people add tons of strands like that and I definitely want to try applying it to my work, you explained it so well!! Thanks again for the video, God bless!🖤
What an amazing comment to read! This is wonderful to hear that you like my style and the process! Actually my hair is fairly simple compared to other people's way of drawing hair ^^ I think a huge difference are the strands. Once they are added the overall hair looks more detailed :)
Woah I didn't know you could have a mirrored 2ne window! In addition to this technique I also am inspired to try that. Thanks for sharing your process!
i love just going "hey those curls look like Salome san" and then having u cut to the reference image which is a wig of salome san DFSFASDF I was like damn I was right????? Anyway lovely art, I'm definitely going to try out your tricks!!
Late comment, but you have one of the most aesthetically-pleasing artstyle I've ever seen. The strokes look soft and fluid at the same time, and I adore the way you draw the character's eyes. They're hypnotizing. This is a great tutorial too. I always wondered why my hair looks so stiff and blocky until now lol. The breakdown of the 5 different types of hair strands was what I was looking for this entire time without knowing. I know you probably don't take request, but I'd love to see a tutorial on drawing expressions and how it affects the eye shape - that's something that I struggled with alot. Especially when it comes to keeping the character's eye shape consistent. I'd love to learn how to improve that from an experienced artist like you. Anyway, underrated channel. Underrated artist. you earned a sub! 😊
I was able to absorb so much helpful information in this video, so thank you! I'm trying to rethink the way that I render my art, and I have a good feeling that your videos are going to help me a lot with that.
That's absolutely amazing to hear. Seriously, having a good feeling and being like 'okay so now I have an idea of how I can draw this' is so rewarding. I love to have this moment ^^ so I am wishing you all the best!
Thank you so much for making this video! I love the way you explain the different kinds of hair while using the same steps to draw them, it's a clear process and the things you pay attention to for drawing are very helpful!! Your way of drawing hair is great I love how flowy it looks and I'm glad you showed how you draw hair :) I've learned a lot from this and your videos, the editing and aesthetic of your videos is really cool as well!
I seriously thank you for this amazing tutorial. Drawing hair is one of my biggest difficulties when it comes to drawing. But your guidance makes it feel so much more doable and less overwhelming 😭😭😭 Tysmm for sharing this with us. Also Congrats on 100k!!❤❤
amazing tutorial as always and the editing was really seamless too! I really should use the lasso tool more often ;---; it looks very useful from all the tutorials I've seen
I am so glad you like the editing! Sometimes I wonder if the beginnings are too fast paced ^^' And yesss, lasso tool is a game changer: fast, clean shapes, huge effect ^^
Thank you Kuroh.Shiro for another amazing tutorial it’s so helpful and motivating! I love your work! And your videos are very helpful! Thank you again!
