Thank you for watching!
The SeaChron is worth every penny! It is a third of the price of my Omega Speedmaster but I don't have to worry about winding it, getting it wet or scratching the bezel. It can boldly go where no chronograph has gone before!
Zodiac is great for watch collectors because of the unique aesthetic. Fits into any watch collection
Thanks Noah!
Great video as always! I purchased the dark blue at Windup show in Chicago. Beautiful watch, very solid, I love it!!
Just received a blue sea-chron. Awesome watch, built like a tank and feels like it'll last a lifetime. The blue is a goergeous teal which is stunning in direct sunlight. Happy with the sellita over the in house STP's as i have read some horror stories. Maybe missed it if you mentioned but zodiac deserve massive credit for their butterfly clasps. The only butterflys i like with their automatic expanding function. I managed to get a fantastic fit which i never am able to get with butterflys even with half links.
Very few watch brands make a really striking and unique dive watch. Zodiac is definitely one of them.
For sure. Not afraid of using their colors
Zodiacs are nice, my Dad had one. A lot of people don't know the super sea wolf is one of the OG dive watches along with Rolex and Blancpain. Part of the reason they are more expensive than an Islander or Seiko like you were mentioning is the history. You are paying for the name on the dial and the history of the brand as much as the quality of the timepiece.
An Islander Skelton should be on the to do list. A lot of companies miss the”Mark” on them. Maybe it would be offensive to name it after a Cemetery town in Ny. 😂
LOL, good idea. . . ! ! !
Is a Super Sea Wolf Skeleton going to be my first expensive watch? Ooh, I am so tempted.
Zodiac is a fantastic brand.
Good looking watches!
I really like the rainbow bezel one, way out of my price range though. Thanks for showing it
thanks for watching.
Are you now an AD for zodiac? I am interested in the rainbow ssw, I was going to buy from the official site, but I would rather buy from you since I am on LI as well and I would assume I'd get it quicker.
It's great you off higher tier pieces along with approachable ones as I do enjoy splurging from time to time
thanks, that's the idea. . . cover the spectrum
I bought the Seachron black dial with white sub dials. Is it worth the price? Absolutely! It's an extremely accurate and rugged chronograph with a reliable and proven movement. By the way the bracelet uses pins and collars not screws.
The Sea-Chron calls to me more than any other Zodiac has!
When I hear Zodiac I can’t help but think of the Zodiac killer. I guess these are killer watches. The prices sure are killing me. 😂
Thanks for sharing them Marc. Have a great day! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Their logo was used in the film
Thanks for watching!
@@garnetnewton-wade4091Their logo was used by the real Zodiac killer not just in the film. He signed the letters for the press with the Zodiac watch logo.
I picked up the skeleton today. The crown has a good amount of play before the minute hand starts to move. Did you have that experience?
Hotdayyum, that box is fire. I absolutely love the Black Sea-Chron!
thanks!
By far the most comfortable watches I own! Those chronos are awesome!!!
Thanks for watching, Dan.
Another great & enjoyable video, thank you! (Thank goodness these are too big for me--no temptation!)
Rainbow could be interesting. Any chance of a Pridelander in the future?
I'm not planning on it, but the name is cool
They are nice watches but in the middle of a crowded and established field of other brands at that price point. Be interesting to see how they get on?
Really like the chrono. Dimensions are just a bit big for me. Great vid!
Definitely thick!
Cool and fun undoubtedly .
Things that need to be considered Qc issues , a brand resirected by a fake watch brand , doubts about how in house their in-house movement really is .
Despite all these issues still worth considering .
Is Zodiac the only watch brand brave enough to make ultra colorful dive watches? Zodiac watches are so nice! I sure wish I had one of these! Great review!
thanks for checking it out
@@islandwatch You're welcome! Hey, Mark do you recommend using silicone oil on a dive watch bezel to make the bezel ring easier to turn?
So brave… they’re freaking heroes! So so brave
Marc. Any idea when you may get blue dial Phoibos wave masters back in stock?
That panda dial (reverse panda?) reminds me of a more polished version of that timex q chrono that came out not too long ago. Very nice
True, thanks for commenting.
Nice watches. That's obvious why there are Homage watches... They allow people to feel like they're wearing their dream watch. And a lot of these Homage watches have very dependable and long lasting for years Seiko movements. And they look good. You can by 10 homages for what the "original" costs. I have no problem with what I can afford... A lot of times you almost can't tell the difference. It's a matter of taste and perspective... There will always be Homage watches as long as they keep putting out an outstanding product. 5/29/23
Angled away from the lens is definitely better!
Great, thank you!
These pieces WOW ,I get it.
ZO9271 won't leave my mind 🤤
Your company has proven that you can have superior quality without a huge price tag.
A slightly wealthier version of me would love to have the blue face chrono.
Thanks!
Both are nice...
thank you
I would not pay that kind of money for those watches. But price is subjective and others might feel it is worth it. Also too heavy and thick for my liking, I know any brand of watch with the V7750 based movement is going to be thick.
Yup, very true.
Carbonite…!!! Lol…!!!! Vestiges of Han Solo…!!! Awesome video Mark..!!!!
thanks for watching!
Do you think you'll get more smaller 36mm diameter watches in soon, like a Lower Brookville?
Right now, just the Manhasset.
Nice watches.
thank you!
The burning question is do " automatics" actually wind the mainspring up in the real world.Probably not a bit like seikos kinetic quartz failed.Unless you swing your arm around constantly to such a point an on looker thinks there is something wrong with you?
Every auto I own I never hand wind.
Any suggestions on activating these pushers underwater? I have my dive computer and a backup mechanical or digital watch on every dive, on some mechanical watches I have activated the pushers (additional to rotating the bezel) for timing some periods of time. Do these Zodiac pushers have any gaskets / water protection? Cheers!
No, you should not!
Yes! It was the 7753
yes!!!! Reaching back into my brain :)
How does K1 compare to regular mineral glass?
Supposed to be harder.
I own an El Primero which is just *under* 13mm thick ... Surely, all those patents are expired; why hasn't anyone made an El-Primero clone movement ... so that I can buy some more dang chronos that aren't so chunky!? (As is, I'm super tempted by the SeaCron panda ...)
Even too expensive to clone, because to do it right is costly
@@islandwatch Bit of a shame but probably true!
maybe ill get that LIW bracelet for my citizen auto diver
you should!
For that price they really should be AT LEAST putting ETA movements. I can buy a watch in the $500 range with a sellita. Glycine used to give you all those features and an ETA movements for less than $1000. Where have the times gone? (Literally)
You lost me. What automatic Swiss chrono with a Sellita can you get for $500?
@@islandwatch I meant just sellita. You're right the chronos are more expensive. But there are plenty of companies way under $2500. I'm sure you got your doxa around that much and that's way more respectable in my eyes
Since we found out you're filming next to the can, I've been paying much closer attention. If you listen really carefully, at around 1'42" you can hear someone flush. Honest.
Nope, not a chance. It is rarely, if ever, used. There's 2 other bathrooms and nobody else is in that room while I'm filming.
@@islandwatch Hi - I was, of course, having a laff with you. In this case the attempt to banter seems to have landed badly; no ill intent was meant and I hope theres no hard feelings.
Flightmasters are great watches and super affordable but damn are they hard to put a strap on. Those tiny lugs are utterly maddening!
I hear that!
Mineral crystal on a $2K watch 😂😂😂
Nature of the beef
Why is it that some inserts have upside-down numbers? Also, the colorful watch will probably not grace the wrist of a lot of guys. I suspect guys will find it a little too, ah, decorative.
Sea Chrono could have been a great watch...but 16.9mm thick. why do that!why
I know, I know!
I feel like a lot of these commenters would never wear a Tudor out of fear of association with "snowflake" hands
I’m sure someone could copy/homage the rainbow for less … hint hint 😂
Numero uno
Nice dial on the Doxa. Hope you explain the two bezels.
of course
@@islandwatch great
First there was John Hodiak
Then came Clint Walker as Cal Kodiak
And now, we have......... Zodiac
What's next, combination of HodKodZodiac? 🤔
my head hurts
The black and white chrono is perfect. Wow. But yeah, lot$.
No, they’re not worth ten Islanders. Ten Islanders make ten people happy. I’d still go for a vintage Omega reduced.
Thanks Angelino!
Rainbow huh? Looks like another brand not for me.
No problem!
Zodiac divers are known for their bright colors. It seems like the multicolor might just be a reference to that. Im not sure it automatically represents what you're thinking
Not worth the money… Not in my opinion…
The rainbow one looks very woke.
$2000 for a watch? No thanks. K1 Mineral? I'm very happy with my $100 blue steeldive skx.
Enjoy it!
Zodiac make good watches but this one is too chunky for my liking, I had one and just couldn't get comfortable with it, the dimensions of the case sound good on paper, but when the watch arrived I couldn't believe how thick it was it says 13.8mm thick but I measured it at over 14mm and it's not a watch that hides it. Perfect example of what I mean is my Seiko Samurai it's around the same thickness but it doesn't look or feel that thick when it's on the wrist. The Sea Wolf just couldn't pull that trick off. Nice watch but not for me, I only kept my one for a few months and sold it to a friend who really liked it.
It is certainly thick, I agree with you.
@Long Island Watch they are good-looking watches but I couldn't get the watch to sit comfortably on my wrist, as I said I only kept it for about two months, but I was lucky I managed to get the full value when I sold it. The watch hasn't been missed since I sold it, so it obviously wasn't for me.
