At first, I was like, “Oh great, they are making the bear but with a black woman probably a lesbian as its chef but then it says Blumhouse and the m3gan. Oh, this is not the bear. Definitely not the bear. Compliments to the chef (the team who made this trailer). A great twist there.
I clicked for Ariana DeBose, it’s funny because I think she was also a chef in one of the SNL sketches she did. Then I felt the vibe suddenly change and read “Blumhouse” and I was like “ooh, interesting...”
I hate comments like this. I love The Bear, but they certainly didn’t invent the genre… the short and feature film „boiling point“ is very similar to a lot on The Bear and it came first…
@@cordcuttercamdid you even watch the menu ; there nothing supernatural about that film. The menu was about toxic work environment in the restaurant industry

Spoiler : I feel that the moment the chef was out of the basement, she was possessed by the spirit of the old owner,a little bit similar with the ending of The Skeleton Key. Why i think this way? First hint was that the chef showed stretching herself like just coming out from long night sleep (since she was trapped in the hole for many yrs). 2nd hint was the rabbit suddenly fondly approached her like it recognized her as its master. The rests of the gestures are all becoz the spirit was a great chef when using all those "ritualized" ingredients making the food taste marvelously altho it may be taste like almost earning 1 michelin's star only.. 😁

We definitely had to eat whatever my grandparents made or you would have it for breakfast, we wasn't allowed to throw away food. My grandpa would tell us how they survived on nothing but rice for the longest so he didn't play when it came to food and we had to grow fruits and veggies in our garden and tend to it in the summer, we had to preserve alot of fruits and veggies to but it taught me a valuable lessons, how to preserve things and how to make and tend a garden, my grandparents taught us alot of things and I'm always grateful for that knowledge❤!
Not really a horror movie but a terrific "rite de passage" story about a woman's search for culinary distinction in her very own restaurant. In the process, she finds herself as a woman inspired and empowered by her predecessors---the witch earth-mothers on the grounds of the restaurant. (Makes more sense if you've read Estes' "Women Who Run with Wolves" or Camille Paglia's "Sexual Personae."
Not a horror movie, This is a movie many will miss out on because it's SO MUCH more than a "Halloween" scary movie! It's a great movie! From plot to cast I loved it & I'm not a fan of horror! I do love happy endings and movies that I can't see whats coming and this is heart warming, exciting, with one & maybe two super heroes.
Suprisingly this movie true to the chef type thriller. Last time watch The Menu (Anna Taylor-Joy) that movie nothing to do with chef and recipe. Kudos to the writer this movie was excellent although im pretty sceptic at beginning because of the low budget and B star cast
Ariana De Bose è un'ambiziosa chef alle prese con l'apertura del suo primo ristorante. Dovrà fare i conti con tanto caos e con lo spirito dell'ex proprietario che tenta di sabotarla ...
Not a bad movie at all. Weird & creepy a little. Bugs & close/tight spaces make me very uncomfortable, so they got me a couple of times. lol. The acting and the story are good. Thumbs up from me.

All of the scenes where the chef was imagining spoiled food or bugs looked just plain annoying. The movie better not focus heavily on that cause it’s so played out and boring.
The Menu did lots of damage in which now people is seemingly incapable of seeing something high cuisine related and not going "woah, is this the Menu?"

Not yall acting as if the bear is the only media using cooking as a thematic😂
Right! Like there arent a bunch of films and tv shows besides The Bear that focus on cooking/restaurants etc...
At first it gave me The Menu vibes but this took a turn 😂
They are following the trend cos of the success of another movie js

When they say Blumhouse shit gon go down.

Ariana DeBose😍
