- 2018 World Champion Gregg Barsby sits down with Innova Marketing Director Jeff Panis for an informal In The Bag. We catch up with Gregg about his feelings going into this year’s Worlds, the first time the event has been held at Smuggler’s Notch since Barsby won there five years ago. And Gregg talks about where he sees himself in the future of disc golf.

Greg is by far the nicest pro going. He always visits with his fans and gives kids a lot of time and attention. Awesome, dude !
Greg is a class act all the way and the peoples champion. I met him on the course and he could not have been nicer or more genuine. I always rock a Barsby eagle in the bag, and usually a roadrunner. I’ll be rooting for him at worlds!

You power it up and it'll power you down. Great forehand or backhand approach disc when the wind is up and you just wanna yank it and know where it's going!
I just want to play a casual round of disc golf with Barsby, listening to and talking about metal music the entire time. Sounds so much fun

@HagarTheHorribleOne Nice! I've never played a round with him but I was lucky enough to film a round of his back in 2017. We talked about metal briefly, but I didn't want to bug him too much during an A-Tier tournament round.
We went to a pro tour event a couple years ago and he was selling merch beside jay and des reading. Super down to earth and kind with us and spent extra time chatting with my grandson. Those two were the reason we went back to the event this year. Simon and Ricky could learn something about being social in public. Barsby in person is same as he is on camera as far as I can tell.
2019 Eagles are money. Favorite run by far. Love seeing the man himself throwing them.

Are all Pro Disc's made by Innova from 1998-2000 SE plastic or just the 9x and early 10x Eagles??? What's the difference between SE and old Pro plastic?
The SE Plastic was only made in a few molds. The TeeBird, Rhyno, Valkyrie, and Gazelle. SE plastic was the pre-cursor blend to what became CE plastic that ran from 01 to 03. The 9x and 10x Eagles were branded KC Pro plastic, they were grippy and most of them were fly dyed as well. That CE Eagle Barsby showed was from the first run of CE Eagles. In 2003 there was a run of Candy Pro which was a mix of the Champion opaque plastic and what I believe was CE. They are chalky and fingerprinty. That only lasted one year, as the next year that plastic became was is just called Champion. I still got a 2001 CE Eagle, a 2002 CE Roc, an 11x Champ Eagle and Firebird, and the illusive 2003 Candy Pro Firebird.

Star Jay beat in will turn into headwind its so disappointing.. however Star Caiman that thing is truly torque resistant , will not turn into headwind and beats in to how Star Jay out of box flies.. im about to go pickup a champion Jay and a champion Caiman so they hold their out of box flights and barely beat in etc for when i need extra 100ft out of them (350ft to be exact) but throwing into headwind etc!
I have a big bead aviar that feels pro like. Certainly nothing like the kc’s now.
i can get my beat in R-Pro Pig out to 330ft in tailwind or if headwind i can get my out of box Pig 325ft in headwind so that Pig is money can almost throw for every single hole and oh btw i putt with it!
I wish I could ask Innova to find a stack of unicorn discs for me
Can everybody just pause on the whole “building facilities to bring young kids away from their parents” thing for a while? Camps are cool and all that but it’s kinda tone deaf with what’s going on and soon parents aren’t gonna be overnighting their kids anywhere with strangers
